We used to go to an adventure playground at Drumlanrig Castle when we were kids in the 80s. I've no idea if it's still there now, but we had great fun on rope bridges through the trees, pretending to be Ewoks! 🐻🤘😂
You're lucky to see that view of the stars too. Where we lived near Moffat you could see the Milky Way any clear night. Then they built a gas pumping station about a mile away from the house - which must be visible from Mars - and that put an end to that! 😡

We didn't notice a playground, so probably isn't there anymore but it's a beautiful spot. Shame the castle was closed though.
We love the dark skies spots and that was particularly beautiful. Make you feel so small and insignificant 😊
