- This footage released by the 3rd Assault Brigade of Ukraine reportedly shows troops liberating 1,200 meters of land near Bakhmut. 8 Russians were reportedly captured in this counter offensive.
The footage has posted to telegram with the caption:
"The 3rd company of the 2nd assault battalion 🇺🇦 3rd OSHBr works in the direction of Bakhmut. the Russians are densely covering with artillery, the territory on the slopes is carefully mined. Despite this, during the operation, 1,200 meters of Ukrainian territory were liberated, 8 Russians of 83 brigades of the enemy army were captured.
the Russians tried to counterattack, but failed: part of the personnel escaped, the rest were destroyed."

Russia has zero chance of stopping the breakthrough which is now imminent in multiple places.....Once that happens the UAF 10th corp with the bulk of western equip will silence those hilariously suggesting this is a stalemate......Military doctrine expects the attacker to lose 3=1...UAF has been slow , but inflicted at least 3-1 on the offensive.....Good days a head for UAf , along with the tragic events that will be all to often ....!

The next 2-3 weeks will be critical. They just reached the first defensive line. It would be wise waiting a little more before celebrating.
If you look at the atrittion rate based on oryx recorded losses it's about 4:1 as of now and that's crazy considering Ukraine are on the offensive. Russia has basically no counter battery abilities now and they just commited their best men on a attack that stalled in kupyansk. Russian telegrams have reported that evacuation of forces have started in quite a few settlements and that it's mainly artillery that's being used as of now by Ukraine. There are a number of settlements that are inevitably going to be liberated by Ukraine. Villages like robotyno and klisschiivka. The settlement taken yesterday also threatens quite a few other settlements. There has been many reports of a breakthrough and some footage of ua vehicles behind the 1st line of defence but time will tell. Also I wouldn't be surprised if there is suddenly a push in Kherson to really mix things up.

The actual USF is even more equipped and more pro. Imagine that!
these are Russian militia or reservists. Regulars are well equipped (Marines, VDV etc) and SPETSNAZ or Wagner specialists are kitted out with $$$ equipment. More or less the same value that these Ukrainians have.
But these Ukrainians are AZOV, i.e Special Forces (Shock troopers). They're kitted out well because they're the best and most willing Ukrainian soldiers. Their kit value is probably the same or close to that of a US Army Ranger.
On the other hand if you look at Ukrainian territorial soldiers (reservists) or their conscripts (aka mobilised/reserve), they're kitted out with the worse quality gear and surrender in the same way. Russian TG channels will post videos of these men surrendering or dead, and most of them won't even have camouflaged helmets. Their plate carriers are hand-me-downs or airsoft quality, and the "plating" is sometimes just Kevlar, or worse, steel (kevlar protects best against PISTOL rounds and shrapnel and not 7.62 Russian bullets, and steel risks sprawling). It's the lowest of the low.
What you see in this video is a gaslight attempt. The Sun is the worse source since they can't tell a Leopard tank from a T-72. But these SF guys are not 90% of the Ukrainian military, they're less than 10%.
