Thank you for your updates. I also have a 24 Sport-L with identical mileage and will be on the lookout for the issues you had. I'm currently averaging about 40 per tank.
Great video. We are empty nesters and very seriously considered the CRV Hybrid. Came very close to buying it but found it a bit too big for our needs. Great vehicle and definitely a top pick. The RAV 4 is a dinosaur being out since 2019.
‘24 Hybrid Sport owner (bought Oct. ‘23),there’s a recall for the steering gearbox worm wheel improperly produced..Called the dealer to get on a waitlist for the part & repair. So far no other problems to speak of.Averaging 34-37 mpg mostly city.
Enjoyed the video! We also have the 2024 CR-V Hybrid, and it has been pretty drama free so far. I've been pretty impressed with the service from Honda. We did by a spare tire from modern spare and put it in the trunk for if we're way out of cell on gravel road and won't be able to access roadside assistance. 95% of the time the spare lives in the garage so it is probably unnecessary.
How much did it cost in total for the spare tire kit?
My wife just purchased a 2025 CRV Hybrid, are you going to follow the maintenance minder for oil changes, or are you planning on changing your oil sooner? Thank you.
We plan on following the maintenance minder!
@@PaulsPlace Thanks for your reply! I plan on following your future video's on your CRV. Thanks.
do your first oilchange at 300 miles, second at 1000 third at 5000. there will be highest metal shavings floating in oil in the beginning. dont listen to anyone. i am a mechanic myself. doing oil changes every 200 miles on my wife's 2025 crv hybrid we bought last month.
i took out oil sample from 2nd oil change. found few metal particles shinning though glass jar. and there are million more which i can't see. just do yourself a huge favor. go to someone, you can see oil draining yourself and whole process. dont go to a place where you cant see the whole process being done. oil of course will look clean but will have metal shavings in it.
I couldn't be any happier with my 24 , my average is 41.7 so far but here comes winter .
I bought my hybrid in February and until spring I was driving to work with the heater off to limit engine use. 😂 But then again I'm a nerd for hypermiling/high MPGs.
@@scott8919 I'm in Michigan I don't think no heat would work lol . What mpg did you get in winter ?
I bought mine(2025) in September 2024 and I am thinking about getting a ceramic coating. How much did your ceramic coating cost
$844.44. Get quotes from multiple places and shop around!
it's much easier to do it yourself. you can buy chemical guys' hydroslick to coat the paint and glass, they also sell hydroview for the glass coating/cleaning, then you can use their hydrosuds for when you wash it (it's very easy to wash it yourself and is much better for the vehicle), and finally once every three months you can use their hydroblitz ceramic wax to get the ceramic coating to last up to 18 months before you have to reapply hydroslick. all of that will total you about $100
There’s another safety recall for 23-25 hybrid high pressure fuel pump. No remedy.
I used a paint thickness meter and the Honda paint is about the same thickness as Toyota...which means it's, like you said, kinda on the thin side.
The stock cargo liner was wayyy too cheap feeling. Found a cheaper, thicker one on Amazon.
The corrosion issue is crazy considering the wheels are aluminum...need to check ours for that.
We've averaged 36.3mpg...but I think that's due to more highway driving.
Still love the car. The gripes are minor so far. Time will tell.
I see a number of comments that the headlights are poor and that when it rains, you can't see the road with the headlights
We don't have that problem at all actually.
Is your civic the hybrid 2025 model? If so, would you please shed your opinion on how it is? I plan to buy it next year.
Mine is a 2024 1.5T Touring. I plan on reviewing a Civic Hybrid soon!
Okay cool… i will wait for your review!
99.9% people also don't care about not having a spare tire. And don't know how to change it even if they get a flat anyways lol
Far more care about not having a spare than you think. Many people, including myself, know how the change a tire. Pulling over, jacking up the car, unscrewing the lugs, pulling off the flat, putting on the spare, tightening the lugs, putting flat tire in the trunk, and driving off is much better than having your whole car towed to a dealership you hope is open, then paying for a new tire. The inconvenience of it all is not worth not having a spare. Highway patrol might even change your tire for you, depending on how they feel. There’s also AAA. But no one will come with a spare to give you. If you do decide to buy a car without one I’d suggest you also buy a spare and keep it in your trunk. I’ve had no less than 10 flats in my life and have driven to work or home after 15-20 mins of changing the tire. I will never call out from work or sit at a dealership waiting for it to open
You can get a spare if you chose@@TheLanard
Get this car Krown'd. I know they've got several locations in Ohio compared to the only two in Indiana.
Already did! Forgot to mention that in the video. Didn’t go with Krown, but it is undercoated.
@@PaulsPlace Nice. Corrosion Free is good too. Though really if I had access to a life, I'd just get some Fluidfilm and do it myself.
Corrosion Free is what I went with! Thanks for watching!
I suppose you heard about the latest recall on our hybrid CRV , the high pressure fuel pumps have to be replaced . No ETA on new pumps at this time . Jeesh never ends
I did. Crazy train.
How are these in the snow?

they have spare tire kits on amazon
