Oh wow, I thought this was about Negroland as in West Africa where our ancestors (Kingdom of Judah) went into captivity. It was on the map 1747 I think, look it up.
I thought the same. I was highly disappointed to find her meaning behind the books title. I wonder what if she was "motivated" by some entity to throw off the narrative. Interesting that she used the very place that many slaves actually descended from to name her book. The title sort of tramples over what "Negroland" actually is. She says we were Negro's, NO, we are Negro's. I believe that the global elite changed the way we identify in order to confuse and disguise who we really are. No other racial group identity term has ever been changed. We went from first being called Negro, because we descended from Negroland. N!@@er, a derogatory term for Negro. Black, a color. Afro American, a hairstyle associated with black people. African/American, two countries. No other racial group is confused about who they are or where they come from. Except, the Negro. I can only surmise that such is done purposefully and by design.
Stop believing everything you read and hear, until you study and research the facts! There was never a kingdom called Judah and motherland. The word Judah did not originate in the motherland! Negro means the color black in the latin language. Negro means black people in the English language! Learn your ancient time facts! Europeans made all maps!
Listening to this interview makes me want to finish this book. I enjoy her honesty about the Negro Upper Class, albeit good or bad, positive or negative. Awesome interview.
I thought it was about Negroland, The Kingdom of Judah. Instead, it's clickbait about superficial blacks passing for white to deny their race for privilege. As soon as she started speaking, I thought of "collaborators."
A part of me feels like they owe Black Americans an apology and a hand in support for what they did to hold them back from the prestige, power, and privilege they kept to themselves.
I'm from the black gentry class down in Georgia black upper class have no land ownship they have soft assets we have hard assets they have education we have education plus soft and hard soft skills military back grounds some and gov jobs yet they have political power that equal to no power for the community when my family gether and move as a unity things get done we are our own boss they have a white bosses we answer only to our community they answer to Coca-Cola home depot and them lol so who is elite we share power they answer to power learned the difference please my great people become powerful answer to your community there lies your strength and power unity classism means nothing it's a human creation basically my family is the same as the community
With regards to her article in 2018 on Megan what would be her answer now. By the way $5m was way off the mark. You mentioned this to detract away from the gold digging opportunity is was closer to £1m. Don't believe the lies about blaming the press or any other excuses that are made, she knew the score. How does she now feel that a biracial lady has personally and all of her own doing caused this amount of issues within a family of which she had history with her own Why is it when opportunities arise, opportunites that would help black communites in general as like this union would have they always in most instances blow it. She came into the UK all planned then left for a celebrity bling lifestyle in Hollywood, and $ let me know although I saw this coming when she mentioned " I did not know he prince Harry was" . Your piece was written impeccably, however too one sided but hey that's the Guardian.
