Property taxes are basically illegal because nobody should pay taxes on their personal property. I bought a T-shirt last week. Should I pay property tax on it?
Great video! I'm from Phoenix Arizona and will be moving to PA next year for work. My company is located in York, and I'm trying to figure out if York is the place I should live or if I should live in a nearby city like Lancaster or Mechanicsburg. I'm looking for a somewhat diverse and friendly community. Would love to hear your insight. Thank you!
Hey there! Thanks for watching the video and reaching out. It's great to hear you're considering moving to Pennsylvania for work. Both York and nearby cities like Lancaster and Mechanicsburg have their unique charms. York is a vibrant city with a rich history, and it might be a good fit if you prefer a balance between urban amenities and a close-knit community feel. Lancaster, on the other hand, is known for its diverse culture, arts scene, and friendly atmosphere. Mechanicsburg offers a more suburban setting while still being close to urban conveniences.
Lancaster is definitely better than York, lower taxes in most townships and Route 30 in Lancaster County does not have traffic lights like Route 30 in York County. I was born in Lancaster and still live here, my Husband is from York County and he agrees with me, Lancaster is much better.

Eh, ive lived here most my life and york city aint that cheap. A 2 bedroom being over $1000 a month is crazy. and people were shooting at one another yesterday right next to where i live so its not as safe as it used to be. One day i will get out of this city cuz it sucks here.
@@LivingInPennsylvaniaPA probably back to Red Lion. Thats where i grew up during my childhood. But idk what the rent is like out that way. I hear even some trailer parks are getting to be at 1000 a month so idk lol. It may not sound like a lot but once you factor in bills and groceries and stuff, the money adds up quick lol. So idk, its tough right now.
Yes there is some areas of York County that you could go into and maybe go into buying a property or renting an apartment that is cheaper than other areas of Pennsylvania like closer to Philadelphia or you know Allentown or reading things of that nature but I personally don't like it here and neither does my husband we only relocated here because of his job now that kind of fell through and he's working somewhere new and after one more year we are out. And speaking of trailer parks yes they can be kind of a rip-off too in my opinion because I mean for some trailers you're looking at just a little over $1,000 a month in lot rent. I would say it depends on the person and where they came from but in my personal experience and my husband's as well the people in York are not as friendly as some people claim they are some people who have lived in York their entire life tend to be a little bit Territorial and don't really let Outsiders feel welcomed. Like it says on the video The only positive thing I can say about York in my experience and my family's experience is that the price of buying a property or renting a property tends to be a little bit on the cheaper side than other parts of Pennsylvania in these bad Economic Times

Live in Florida, all 4 seasons would be a blessing at this point.

Is York safe?
Yes I’ve never had a problem and I’m there everyday
