i think this video is outdated, it says 2023 in the title but there have been updates since then that have changed this feature
if you archive the live, you can then download it in archives, if the video above doesn't help
Obsolete video. Not only did they update this video to say 2022 according to comments knowing it doesn’t work but they also had the audacity to update title with 2023 when it doesn’t work!
Please take the 2022 off of this video. There is no longer an option to save video after you go live

Hi guys. I am quite new to insta and I am going a bit nuts right now cause I can't seem to find the option to save a insta live video to my phone, there is just no button/option for it on my app..? I want to share my insta lives to my insta & facebook story, but there doesn't seem to be an option for this either like in normal storys.. this is why I need to save the videos so I can post them separately on facebook... any ideas what I am missing here? THX in advance
there’s no option for download before post, ur timeline was after post it 🫠

because the person who uploaded this didn't update the new IG settings. IG does not do this anymore its not you it's the person providing the false information.

some people when they save their live stream they save it with the comments which were in the live stream too, while some of them save it without them . My question is: how can I save a live stream with the comments too? Because when you save it as an IGTV it doesn't show the comments that were in the live stream.

This shows how to download the video BEFORE posting but your description says "AFTER posting".
it’s still there! Click the 3 lines on the upper left corner. Click “Archive.
Click the drop down menu at the top and hit “live archive”
You should see your live video
Open it and press “download at the bottom right corner”😊
