You ever been playing a disgaea game, when all of a sudden you realize "Wow, these are really weird games."? Im not saying its a bad thing. In fact its great. It's just that Desco's class is Supposed Final Boss.
@streaklyern I admit that I prefered the gunplay and character designs of the first game the best, but the gameplay elements they have added in since then have been really great.If you still prefer the 1st game at least you have a cool PSP version you can still jam on.

First off, *drool*! Second off, I love the animations in this. I heard that this game was gonna suck, but after seeing the gameplay and opening trailers here.. they must've been lying. Or I'm too much of a hardcore fan. And any disgaea game is good so long as the following happens: (A) Laharl makes his usual appearance. (B) AXEL IS A MAIN CHARACTER IN THIS ONE! He has to be, he was in so many clips! (C) It has prinnies. Nuff said. Thanks for posting, lets all get the damn game!
Hmmm I also recall in etna mode when Lemmington is talking to Vulcanus, that he was testing flonne and trusts her with that pendant, being his best pupil.
@AngelDrive9 Yes, the one with the silver hair, slightly taloned hands, silver tail, yellow eyes and sharp teeth. His name is Fenrich I believe. 0:56 is a dead give away.
@Tokumastu actually, that's Flonne in her Archangel form. Remember in Berryl's mode in Disgaea 3? Flonne was doing her job as the new Archangel there, and she showed up with white wings, blue eyes and no tail
@QuanKaraya She's been an fallen angel since the end of disgaea 1 so i guess she was training the whole time.According to disgaea 3 rasberyl mode she was an archangel at that point.
You can notice slight differences between the English and Japanese openings. The main one I saw was the part around 1:22 where it shows that monster, in the Japanese version the wings are lower on it's back and it's on the screen a little bit longer while the English version has them higher up where wings would normally be. It's kind of an interesting little comparison. :D
@Jon9588 it' basically about demons living in different worlds known as Netherworlds. in said Netherworlds, the concepts of good and evil are reversed, Evil is expected good is looked down upon. The main character (of all games) is usually the biggest follower of said rule until a unusual character comes into the picture, and is forced to work with him/her to take over the(nether)world. insert references to everything, epic inasnity & humorous gameplay and you get something truly amazing
I find it HILLarious that I just finished Disgaea 3, and now another game is going to pop up for me to beat, i still need to finish disgaea 1, 2, and prinny 1 and 2! :3

You play as a prinny with a time-travelling pocket watch, and you attempt to glean information from the cast of the first three Disgaea games to find out who 'assassinated' Laharl, and prevent it from happening. You're able to possess the characters and influence their actions in an attempt to prevent the disaster. There's like, 30 possible endings.
I love how Flonne doesn't look at all otaku-ish as normal, but there's a subtle hint when you see that the explosions look like the ones from Evangelion.

@klonoa13MP the trick is to replay the older levels until you get your characters powerfull enough to hold their own. very tedious at times but worth it in the end.

Another point from Disgaea 1 is that when the past Seraph Lemmington and Vyers Aka King Krichevskoy are talking, they mention that Flonne and Laharl are going to connect Celestia and the Netherworld, implying that Flonne becomes the New Seraph and that Laharl being already the King/Overlord of the Netherworld.
@origialtych No, Flonne became an angel again in Disgaea Infinite. Disgaea 4 takes place a bit after Disgaea 3 and Makai Kingdom hence the older Archangel Flonne and Zetta having his body back.
Yes, first you must enounter the music shop person in a mystery gate, after that you can then pass a bill for the person to be in the base. At least that is what I remember, it has been awhile for me.
considering how many rogue angels there are in the netherworld im guessing they are pretty understaffed, and thats not even counting the ones that have been killed
@DLZandorfRamash the timeline goes foreword not backwards. since each and everyone has diffrend main characters(and netherworlds) the only time you'll see somebody from a past game is in a cameo/post game.

DANG IT! Come out already! seriously I really want to see this game and play it. I own all 3 (the orginal systems they came on) and I have loved everyone of them (and also have not "Completly" finished any of them.) I also want the full version of this song since i bet it's awsome like 3 and 2! (1 theme really wasn't catchy {to me} so I choice the Laharel theme for the main song of 1)

In my opinion the game gets better with each new addition. I fully complete the game, as in get a perfectly uber character and the best gear, so I enjoy much of the end game in disgaea. My opinion probably isn't shared with someone who enjoys the story more.
to be fair, it did have a much much smaller budget. Remember, that was the game that lead to their being an international success, rather than a niche market outside of Japan. Good luck finding someone who knows who Marjoly is and why her items are named the way they are. Most dont even know Prier.

@primodori I think Disgaea Infinite explained Flonne is still a Fallen Angel but she hides her demon features with contact lenses and fake angel wings. She needs to hide her identity like that to enter Heaven and to enter the Archangel exam (Vulcanus got booted so there needs to be a replacement). She ends up getting the job, so perhaps this is her after being the Archangel for a while?

@Taozers1 Have you even played Disgaea Infinite to the end, the whole story has Flonne being an angel trainee again, also Disgaea Infinite is placed in the time-line after Disgaea 1 but before Disgaea 2 explaining the pudding incident. The whole point of Disgaea Infinite is to fill all the missing plot holes back from when Disgaea 1 and Phantom Brave was created, including the Disgaea 3 characters to fill-in the story about Mao being forced to do volunteer work by Beryl.
First Disgaea game brought awesome main characters. Second Disgaea game had a very cool opening along with music. Third Disgaea game had a cool storyline. What will the fourth one bring? Also im glad they're bringing the angel class on the console.

disgaea openings just get better and better i wonder if D2 will top this opening would be pretty hard though since this one is amazing :D
I like that Disgaea has never updated there Grapihcs but is still one of the best games out there
