    If you're looking for big screen entertainment in your home, a video projector is a great way to go! And the best part is that it's more affordable than you think! In this video I'm going to introduce you to the features and capabilities of the Vankyo Leisure 530W home theater projector. The Leisure 530W has native 1080P resolution powered by an extremely bright LED light source.
    Inside the box, Vankyo has included a 100-inch projector screen which is a great bonus if you need one! The projector itself is actually fairly small for the size of image it can project. On the back there's a single built-in speaker plus the power input and rear infrared receiver. Next to the lens is the large focus wheel which has very smooth movement. On one side there are inputs including USB, dual HDMI ports, analog audio/video input, headphone output and a micro-SD card slot. The accessories include a cleaning kit, composite audio/video cables, instruction manual, power cord, remote, screws for a ceiling mount and an HDMI cable. On the top are touch controls for menu navigation.
    On the bottom there are 4 holes for a ceiling mount as well as an adjustable leg which can be used to raise the lens angle. The very first time it's powered up the language needs to be set for the menu interface. When I first saw the picture I was amazed at the size and picture quality! And in my room I have ambient light from my blue LED room lighting as well as a bit of sunlight coming in from outside through the shades. But even in this room the picture still looks great!
    Depending on the angle of where the projector is mounted, it does have 50 degrees of horizontal and vertical digital keystone correction. This will help you perfectly align the image to a screen or a wall. In addition it also has rotational image adjustment to further fine tune the picture positioning if needed.
    One thing I think Vankyo should've done was put all the inputs on the back so I don't have cables coming out of the side and back as you see here. The thick HDMI cable I'm using isn't very flexible and this looks a bit messy especially if I'm mounting this on a ceiling. The touch controls are backlit so they're easy to see in the dark. And they make a low beep sound when touched. But what isn't low is the built-in speaker which is nice and loud when using the projector without an external audio system.
    There is moderate fan noise and heat coming from the projector. And in my experience, all projectors will increase the room temperature the longer it's on. But as I keep watching this, I'm continually impressed by the brightness and picture quality projecting this on just a plain white wall.
    As mentioned earlier, you can connect 2 devices to the Vanyko Leisure 530W through the HDMI ports but don't forget you can also play content from a USB drive or micro-SD card. Not only that, the Leisure 530W can also screencast wirelessly from a smartphone. This makes it convenient if you mainly use your phone to watch content.
    If you want to build an impressive media room to entertain family and friends, a projector is the way to go. And the Vankyo Leisure 530W definitely delivers! It's really affordable too! Priced at $230 it falls right in line with other budget 1080P projectors. And it's capable of table or ceiling mount as well as front or rear projection depending on your screen setup. If you're into gaming, it's going to be a whole new experience when playing on a wall sized screen!
    You can go up to 220 inches diagonal projecting from about 21.5 feet away. But the further you go back the dimmer the image will be. 100 to 120 inches is typical of most setups. The Vankyo Leisure 530W is excellent for movies and gaming. And with native 1080P resolution I think you're gonna have a lot of fun with this!

    Hey great video! very thorough and professional. Quick question, is the vivo mount compatible with only certain tripod mounts or universal?

    • @TheRenderQ
      @TheRenderQ  3 года назад

      Actually the Vivo projector mount isn’t really compatible with tripods. But I did screw a wooden block to the Vivo mount and then screwed the tripod’s quick release plate to the wooden block. At that point I can just slide the whole assembly onto my tripod. I’ve also seen stands for projectors. They look like a light stand but has a flat attachment on top for the projector to sit on. Hope this helps!

    With HDMI hooked up it's great, but if you try to screen share it gets a bit laggy, but that could also just be related to internet

      You should be able to connect your Chromecast to the projector. It has an HDMI input so it’s just like plugging it into your TV! Should work flawlessly! Thanks for watching!

    • @TheRenderQ
      @TheRenderQ  2 года назад +1

      Yes! If you connect your MacBook to the projector you should still be able to output audio to a Bluetooth speaker. You may have to go to audio settings to tell where you want audio to output to. If you want to test it out before buying the projector you can connect your MacBook to your TV first and see it audio goes to your Bluetooth speaker. Hope this helps!

    • @TheRenderQ
      @TheRenderQ  2 года назад

      To me the projected image looks pretty sharp in the corners. It looks really good. Keep in mind that this is a budget projector but for the price I think you’ll enjoy it! I don’t use it very often so I can’t justify spending money on a more expensive projector that won’t get much use! Thanks for watching!

    • @TheRenderQ

      I don’t know how big of an audience you’ll have but if you have a good Bluetooth speaker you could use that. Just connect the projector and speaker using a 3.5mm aux cable. Or if you have a boom box that accepts inputs then use that. A guitar amplifier could work as well.

    • @TheRenderQ
      @TheRenderQ  2 года назад

      I’m pretty sure the Leisure 530W does not have Bluetooth capability. However, it you have Bluetooth speakers you can always use a 3.5mm aux cable and connect the projector to the Bluetooth speaker using a wired connection. All the Bluetooth speakers I’ve seen have a 3.5mm input. Hope this helps!

    • @TheRenderQ

      There might be copy protection issues when steamed wirelessly from your phone. But if you plug your Fire Stick directly into the projector you shouldn’t have any problems with HDCP. Hope this helps!

    • @TheRenderQ
      @TheRenderQ  3 года назад +5

      This Leisure 530W is actually very good but if I had to choose I would say the V630 is slightly better. I really like that one!

    • @zeroseven11
      @zeroseven11 3 года назад

      Returning one now it was somehow worse than my vankyo 510 720p projector. It was dimmer and I also couldn't get it to focus well. Disappointed because I actually really like my 510 just wanted to move up to a native 1080p projector.

    • @Cujobob
      @Cujobob 3 года назад +1

      I believe the V630 is only 24 FPS, though. I have the 530W now and I agree with Brian that it’s pretty dim. It’s basically not usable with the included screen, but it works much better with an Elite screen. Unless the lights are completely out in my home theater, the projector really isn’t usable.
      I’m really torn on whether to keep it or not. If you’re not mounting it fairly centered, it really messes the edges up (they get blurry). I could see this being a really good option for someone who can mount it centered and is looking for a starter projector until 4K comes down in cost.
