@Myth Tree I had to laugh when I read about the guy in the wetsuit passing, but wow what an adventure, thanks for sharing! Ours really was a walk in the park haha
@Myth Tree haha amazing. I'm actually tempted to see what it's like!
Been there several times the road down into Applecross is awesome 😎
I passed my test in 1978 and have driven the roads in the video. I have never experienced one single dangerous road, but lost count decades' ago of the dangerous drivers I have witnessed.
Bloody hell, fair play to the fella casually cycling up it 👀 again, really enjoyable mate. Well done! I felt like I was in that car the whole way up haha. Do think it's utterly ridiculous that some people think it's okay to take their camper up and down that...there needs to be some sort of toll gate to stop 'em 😂
Haha cheers mate! Heard some horror stories about campers and trucks getting stuck on those hairpin beds…
It's not the road that's dangerous it's the drivers. The drive to apple cross is awesome. Don't be put off it's well worth the drive. Stop at the cafe at the start and or lunch at Apple Cross Inn.
Why are they driving camper vans on that little sketchy road hahaha!!!!! WHY!!!! But that view, amazing, great vid bro
They are braver than me mate 😂
The only reason it is the most dangerous road is the idiots in large motorhomes who cut up the road edges and make it even narrower, if certain publications stopped telling motorhomers and caravanners to try to drive it there would be less of these idiots who cannot negotiate the hairpins without shunting on the pass, there is an alternative route but due to the " challenge " of the NC500 they do not use it and cause havoc in the summer months.
Well said , it’s not the road that’s dangerous it’s the clowns on it !
Exactly! I’ve never before heard it called ‘the most dangerous road’! Utter nonsense, it’s a challenging road but that’s about it!
Fantastic post as usual, Scotland is beautiful but cold.
Looking forward to your return to overseas travel,
Keep on posting enjoying it very much
Thank you for the support Eleanor - there will be more overseas travel very very soon!
@eleanorclarke2055 Scotland cold??!!!. Really?. How often do you visit?. Try coming in the very warm summer!!.😎😎👍🏴🏴
That scenery. Seriously. My camera would love that Scotland so much. Your cinematography skills continue to impress. I hope there is much more to come. Safe travels.
Thanks! Cameras and Scotland are definitely a great combo!
Amazing video .Fantastic place.
Done this drive last week while exploring. Scenery was absolutely stunning and weather was spot on which made it even nicer 🏴
I carried on right over to Applecross and met the resident red deer that stay near the car park
As long as it's not busy the pass is fairly easy for any experienced driver otherwise it can be sore on the clutch.
Really enjoyed watching as Torridon is such a special place to stop and unwind for an afternoon.
Some really good hikes nearby too. Well done finding the Hermits Castle 👍
Stunning, simply stunning. It's a wonderful part of the world.
Ur Criminally Underrated 🔥
Thanks ❤️
I agree. He should have more viewers and subscribers
@@jessiesantiago7994 really appreciate the kind words guys ❤️
Keep doing what you love. It takes several years for most youtubers to get traction. You have great content and that Voice takes it to a different level. Glad you picked up the camera again. Wish you success.
@@jessiesantiago7994 Thanks so much Jessie - your words mean a lot. Luckily, I make youtube videos because I enjoy it. Sure, it's frustrating when the views don't come - but I will keep making them as long as I enjoy it
It was a draw with the footie, right? Very diplomatic of the footballers 🙂. As always, a beautifully put together film. I'm really glad you're enjoying Scotland!
Haha very true, pretty boring game too. Earlier that day, I saw a guy wearing an England shirt at one of the viewpoints - much braver than me 😂
Roads really not that bad
I said that
I passed this route twice last week. ❤
That looks like a lot of fun :)
It was!
Your bird looks like a good laugh 👀
That's terrifying just watching it!
It was quite fun in the end!
Emma’s squeak at 13:23 😂❤️😂
😂😂😂 didn't have that reaction in Tablas!
Hi Ryan & Emma,
Well you made that look easy. ⁉️. I think you deserve sponsorship from both the Scottish Tourist Board and the Vauxhall Corsa Owners Club. ‼️
Enjoying your adventure, cheers 🍻 Anthony 👍🏻👍🏻
Haha thanks Anthony - I wouldn’t like to try it in winter!
@@OneShotAdventures I can’t stand the cold 🥶 time to get some S. E. Asian warmth in the channel ⁉️🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@anthonycharlton8491 we have big plans for January 😉
@@OneShotAdventures 👍🏻 looking forward to that...( almost as much as you ⁉️). 😎
@@anthonycharlton8491 haha thanks Anthony - we cannot wait!
Biasa ae...😊
Why didn’t you go down into Applecross? That road down to it from the summit is tricky in places.
Wanted to, but we didn't have the time sadly
@@OneShotAdventures that coastal road around is a bit sketchy. I did a video last week mate (Part 5) 👍🏼
Its not that difficult a road to drive. Maybe in a motorhome, but I did it in my car two years ago and it was pretty straightforward.
Yes, I do say that in the video
Hardknott Pass, Cumbris, 30%
Been on it (holidayed in that area when I was a kid). Scary at the time but as a (close to) 40 year old in 2023 - it's NOT and is FAR FROM the most dangerous UK road!
If you could travel anywhere right now, where would you go? Yes, I would drive that road.
It’s a fun drive! Well, we actually have some big plans for early next year… Don’t want to ruin the surprise, but it’s hopefully SE Asia!
Hopefully in a few months I'll be back on the Mae Hong Son loop (Route 1095 / 108) in Thailand's north west . . . Absolutely love that road :D
@@sameebah Amazing! I’m yet to do the whole loop myself, I’ve only been to Pai!
@@OneShotAdventures Pai is "home base" - we live across the road from the hospital :D
@@sameebah wow!
That didn't seem to scary you need try the hardknott pass in the lake district
I was about to say the same. After driving the road last week, its nothing compared to my local pass - Hardknott. Mind you, i wouldn't tow a caravan over either one.
@Jenny6030 No, i wouldn't tow a caravan either. We did the hardknott pass 3 weeks ago it was scary, but we got there 😊👍
Hi been over there with are motorhome if you can drive in Derbyshire you can driver any were take your time that's mane thing.
There is a road in England not sure what it's called. Not far from Flamingo Land notorious for crashes every year there have been 20 at times. Once 3 people died on that road. Jaguar collided at 60mh with a Peugeot 306. The passenger in the Peugeot died
I've driven it many times, no problem, it's only a problem and scary if you act the fool and not drive it sensibly,
I drove it a few days ago with my wife. We were in a 6m motorhome. We drove it in the opposite direction to you. It's definitely not one of the most dangerous roads anywhere. If you look ahead you can see what's coming from quite far away. I would guess that serious accidents on that road are below average. It does have stunning views I will agree with you on that.
You fool! Motorhomes are forbidden on the pass!!
@@georgemacdonald206you’ve clearly never been up there. Either that or you can’t read road signs. Motorhomes are not forbidden up there. It’s and 18T weight restriction limit.
@@mrgt3201 I stay there. YES THEY ARE!!
The signs are as clear as day with a big read x over motorhomes and caravans . Why is this ...1 the road is not designed for such vehicles 2 they cause rapid deterioration or the road surface 3 they can contribute to landslides on said road.
What is urgently needed are road barriers with cameras to stop motorhomes from crossing over this pass. Enough is enough..keep these damn things off the pass!
Done it on a GSXR 1100 in a roaring gale and low cloud . Done it on a Harley Davidson Sportster . Been all the way down on a Kawasaki ER5 with the engine switched off . Piece of piss .
Touge time
We live in the Highlands. The problem isn't the very steep narrow road but the idiots in huge camper vans trying to get up there. The views are fantastic but just take an ordinary car if you want to drive it. So many vans get grounded on the steep switchback bends and if they are rear wheel drive they easily get stuck with damage to the underside of the vehicle. It's remote so the rescue services are hours away !
Local farmers need to use the road to feed livestock and when the road is blocked it's a massive drive to come back round the other way . This Is why locals get so pissed off !!!! There's enough warning signs so simply don't try to go over it in a campervan or car and caravan or you will probably get stuck and block the road for everyone else. So selfish ! Also trying to pass vehicles coming the other way can be difficult if you both cant reverse long distances !😮
To the people driving those big vans up there, we can’t reason with stupidity.
It’s funny to me that people feel the need to make videos of driving on north west Scottish roads. I live in Edinburgh but travel around them areas all the time to go hiking and don’t think twice about it.
Lucky you
Dangerous? Must be son, you are driving at a mind boggling speed of 30 miles per hour 😂
Don’t see what’s dangerous about it. Go slow, relax, and less drama.
The fools in their motorhomes..take their tyres oot!!
Nothing dangerous about the road other than the idiots on it that don't have a clue to do drive.... especially those in motorhomes that can't get around the hairpins, I'm often recovering people off the Bealach burning out the clutchs or going over to Applecross and recoving them and I can negotiate that pass with ease with a 3.5T truck and trailer.... it's simply poor driving that leads tothem having the issues up there. it's clearly posted at the bottom at the junction where the Cafe is at Tornapress camper vans and trailers aren't allowed.... but idiots will continue.
Yes I show the sign in the video
@@OneShotAdventures it's not dangerous just inept drivers.. I guess it boosts your viewing figures to lead with a misleading title!!.
@@neilanderson841 Calm down Neil, it's not that deep
@@OneShotAdventures am ALWAYS calm ta🖕🖕
Never a dangerous road what utter bollocks been up it more times than I care to remember always fun even in mist. The road and surrounding ground rises as one. You want dangerous road that’s the A82 because muppets can’t drive safe on it.
“Most dangerous road in Britain”. You are kidding ? 😂😂😂
Where did you get that quote from?
The Beach na ba dangerous 😂😂
Talk about click bate
This is my local climb and I cycle this often nothing dangerous about it at all
If you think this is dangerous then you should stay at home ...
*bait
Ya, no dangerous anymore.
Why on earth does everyone call it "the most dangerous road in the UK"? It's not. Stop it. It's less dangerous than any dual carriageway in the UK. The average speed on the road is around 15mph. The biggest danger is middle aged cyclists having a heart attack on the steep parts. Clickbait nonsense.
