Game looks great! Wishlisted! A nice addition would be to render the particles and effects in a lower screen size, which from my experience makes particles look way better.
That's looks like a really good game, I love roguelikes a lot and looking forward to play it. Note: another cool idea for greem god bosses are Artemis the goddess of hunt and her brother Apollo of god of archery, music and dance. In general greek gods are really theme based like Dionysus the god of wine.
Yeah, I think an Artemis and Apollo would make a cool bossfight together, I'll just have to see as I want to focus on other Mythologies for awhile and make sure that game has a lot of variety in that department
Very cool game! Been following for a while. I think that the game itself looks incredible, I just hope that it does well on steam. I think that ur gonna have to do some marketing to get wishlists but keep up the great work! 🎉🎉🎉
being able to customize the healing area would be really cool through some type of currency. maybe upgrades to the area itself. Also being able to change the ground texture, background, character, etc. Through the same currency system ofc. all of these are long term incentives to continue playing.
Yeah, I think I have a good opportunity for customization with you going back to the library in between every round, I'll probably make it so you can customize all the rooms eventually
You could add rare(or purchasable) permanent buffs and counter that with each game getting harder and harder. There would be a lot more sense of progression. This could be a separate mode for some type of campaign. (like "survive to round 50" vs "endless mode")
Yeah I want the game to be a rogueLIKE where theres no permanent progression that makes the game easier, maybe some item unlockables, maybe some more characters, but I want the progression to be purely skill and game knowledge in between runs, I'll probably have an easier difficulty option though for people who just want to chill
Hey man, first off the game looks great for 100 days! Small thing about the parallax background, perhaps turn the effect up a little to try and make the mountains look farther away? I thought the speed in which they parallax currently made them look small and kind of underwhelming for mountains that supposed gods live in! Or maybe this is what you were going for in which case don’t listen to me at all! 😂 Looks great regardless!
The game looks very polished and I like how you based all of the items off of things from different mythos. I also have a boss suggestion, Sun Wu Kong. I think it be pretty cool as a secret boss but would probably need a major tone down cause he's pretty OP. But maybe that's what will make the boss even more fun 😂. Or it just be very frusterating...😅😂
Sun Wu Kong is 100% a planned boss, as for the being too op thing, technically you really shouldn't be able to beat any of these bosses as a mortal but its more fun this way
it might be a bit of work but if you programmed so that the game knew the defence and damage output of the player and of each enemy, you could also program the game to create infinite random waves tat are always roughly balanced to the player.
I'm already generating waves automatically, but I don't want them to be based on the player's current power, as that would be frustrating, getting good builds would be punished by the game getting harder. Instead, I just need to keep fine-tuning the scaling of items and enemies to make it so that most runs have a pretty normal difficulty curve, but if you get lucky and have a god run, then you'll still be rewarded by tearing through the game
What about a really rare upgrade that allows you to freely swap between Artemis and Apollo even if you don’t do that i think something Apolloish would be beneficial considering how mNy things he’s the god of.
I’ve never heard that word, but looking it up, that does make more sense, I don’t know if I want to change it as I don’t know if many people would recognize the word
The sound effects seem really annoying. I would replace them with more realistic and subtle sounds, as the ones you are using now make the game sound cheap, since they are associated with cheap games as they are commonly used in them. I think less "arcadey" sounds would greatly benefit both the theme and feel of the game. Great progress though!
I agree that some of the sound effects for things like the sword are pretty annoying, although personally I like some of the arcade-y sounds for clearing waves and buying things. I do get where you're coming from, but I know plenty of games that use similar sounds (or in some cases, the exact same sound packs) that aren't perceived as trashy, I think it all comes down to execution, perhaps I'll try to work with a sound designer in the future to polish it up, but for now, sound effects are not the focus.
Ngl you get wayyyyy too much money judging by the gameplay. I think having to save for like 2 to 4 waves per item depending on rarity would make for a nice balance of: will I get stronger for a bit now? Or will I save for a rare upgrade which would do more for my playstyle later down the line. But idk I am just judging based of 15 minutes of small gameplay clips.
The final boss should be jesus or an impostor pretending to be the christian god But on the other hand some madmen will definitely get mad at a video game for stuff like this lol
I mean it's polished and all, but is it special? Looks just like every other game, grass tileset, some generic combat. It's like I've seen this type of game a million times at this point.

The game looks great! Looking forward to more updates!
Amazing work! It's awesome to see how much you've managed to get done in such a short time.
Congratulations Levin!! I'm very happy for you and im looking forward to playing your game soon!!
Thank you!
Maybe you could add different colored outlines for creatures of each mithology, and make weapons or abilities that deal more damage to each mythology

Would love a demo for this. Looks awesome to play! You have done an amazing job and what I believe to be in a decent amount of time too!
The game looks very cool and the videos are very well made keep the awesome work dude ❤
Thank you!
@@ButWhyLevin Can you add something from the Romanian Folklore?
Wow, this is crazy good for 100 days! Props!

Technically Diouynus isnt a god
Also i did not see this before making my comment

YESSSS! This steam page looks SO COOL!
Bro that's amazing
This game looks sick dude
Very cool game. Even if i don't really play roguelike games i think i'll try this one out!
congratulations!

I think the rogue like aspects really lend themselves well to the idea of reaching nirvana. Maybe you could implement that somehow?
To get sfx its good to just pick up bundle from Unity or Humble bundle, and just keep accumulating them for your sfx library
This is one of the best indie games I have seen in a while
this game came a long way , gj 👍
Looks like chaos (in a great way)! 🔥😂

Yeah, you're right, I'll mess with that to try to make them seem further away

Take a look at Indian mythology you can find a lot for your game.

nice ill defintely be buying this game day 1.
Every god ever, eh? Is this going to be the roguelike with the most boss diversity, ever? XD
They’re all angry at you, but they aren’t all in the game lol, I’ll try to get a lot of variety though

Nice, game is awesome! Return to the RPG game after this, It has a lot of potential if you put the work into it.
Yeah I'm definitely still thinking about that game, I've got some ideas but it'll probably look very different when I come back to it
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
give me guy a cape 😂😂🦸♂
Would be great to see you use some Yoruba gods and stories!
Only thing I would say is to make the doors look grounded. Might just be me but having them just existing and 'floating' there is jarring.
Yeah, I need to make the door a portal or something
why mania not machia

Could you add a Technoblade item? I know Technoblade isn't in any mythologies, but it would be pretty cool
