    Best way of reducing the cost of producing maize silage. Microbes is the way to go.

    Hello Fred. Great video as usual.
    What are the microbes please ?

    • @FredDairyFarm
      @FredDairyFarm  3 месяца назад +1

      A rumen microorganism is anaerobic or facultatively anaerobic, and produces end products that are either utilised directly by the host or by other microorganisms as energy.Rumen microbes work together to break down what the cow eats, turning the feed into energy and protein for the cow. They produce volatile fatty acids for additional energy, and the microbes themselves are an important protein source at the end of their life cycles.

    I haven't seen how you apply microbes

      You either use a watering can or sprayer before compacting
