    I think this one was a really great example for cutting a hatchback with a spoiler on the top, Matt! Thanks for sharing the techniques with us! Always thankful for having found your RUclips channel earlier this year when I learned to tint from your livestreams, primarily, and tinted my Chevy Silverado 1500 regular cab WT. I owe you big time, Matt!

    here revisiting this video a year later as it came up in suggested videos, and glad i had it suggested again to refresh my memory. You really do make some great instructional videos! Hope your classes are still getting a lot of attention! People will be the better for going through your class!
    I know I went from not being able to tint, even though I had tried and tried and failed, to being able after watching your live streams for a couple of months. Sadly someone ran into my Truck July 26, 2023 and totaled my 2010 Chevy Silverado after I had tinted my windows and redone my headlights with an epoxy clear coat and was getting it to looking good.
    Thanks for doing these videos!

    Matt, As always you make tinting look so easy, another great video on the best method to tint, keep the video's coming as I always pick up new ways to get the job done right, with little waste of tint and time!

    Hey man. I have a better option that works great, at least for me. (For almost all vehicles with spoiler)
    I use one of the defroster lines to cut across then slide up and line up with dot matrix. The defroster lines are usually in the same shape of the top frame. Then just cut your sides etc...I hope it helps

      Just wanted to let you know that your comment was fantastic. I was having a hard time doing a vehicle with a spoiler and cutting the top was one of the issues, but following the defrost line was a killer pro-tip! Thanks!

    When using the tape are you cutting in the inside or on the tape

    • @rikitikimasala
      @rikitikimasala Год назад +3

      he cuts in the middle of the tape, he explains somewhere in another video that this means you cut the tint and tape only and the blade shouldn't touch the glass directly. even though stainless steel blades are unlikely to scratch the glass its just an extra precaution he takes.

      It lets the tint float over the window , Front and rear windows you only use dryer sheet side windows and ports just baby shampoo and distilled water

      Any stainless steel blade will work on a window everytime you are going to cut snip off the older blade for a newer one, Like cutting anything dull is dangerous vs sharp Less work less friction etc

      @@DetroitTintStudio That's how you become quick and productive when you take the same approach to every vehicle. Muscle memory and the same order means protection.
      In the end its still a door glass, quarter glass or rear glass no matter the make....now some makes are easier/harder but they require the same procedures just a little extra or a little less here and there.

    • @punktalley
      @punktalley 2 года назад
