Here at Sun Distributing, we believe that the supplier of the window film should know every aspect of the business. It makes it hard when a tinter or tint shop needs support but their supplier does not know the business from one end to the other. I started as a tinter helper in 1989 and worked my way up to the point of distribution. Along the way I have put together a successful retail tint shop and know every hurdle that a tinter and/or shop owner could face. I believe that there is an extreme value to having a company with our experience in the industry having your back.

I think this one was a really great example for cutting a hatchback with a spoiler on the top, Matt! Thanks for sharing the techniques with us! Always thankful for having found your RUclips channel earlier this year when I learned to tint from your livestreams, primarily, and tinted my Chevy Silverado 1500 regular cab WT. I owe you big time, Matt!

Hey man. I have a better option that works great, at least for me. (For almost all vehicles with spoiler)
I use one of the defroster lines to cut across then slide up and line up with dot matrix. The defroster lines are usually in the same shape of the top frame. Then just cut your sides etc...I hope it helps

he cuts in the middle of the tape, he explains somewhere in another video that this means you cut the tint and tape only and the blade shouldn't touch the glass directly. even though stainless steel blades are unlikely to scratch the glass its just an extra precaution he takes.

either file it down since the film sounds like it is catching or let it cure for a few days before you mess with it.

@@DetroitTintStudio That's how you become quick and productive when you take the same approach to every vehicle. Muscle memory and the same order means protection.
In the end its still a door glass, quarter glass or rear glass no matter the make....now some makes are easier/harder but they require the same procedures just a little extra or a little less here and there.
