I really appreciate the kind words and the shout out! Hopefully you didn't get buried in snow up there in NY! You bring up a great point about not needing an expensive truck. I've seen so many guys go under doing this because they bought a brand new +$65k truck. Doing more with less is the trick to all trucking, and you'll see that one day when you come to multi. No rush though, you're doing good right now and no need to fix what aint broken!
@@CrossbuckRVTransport no problem buddy! I definitely got stuck in NY for an extra 6 hours lol. And I’m buying the cheapest rig that runs for multihaul🤣

A $50 back seat air mattress on Amazon makes a world of difference sleeping in the truck. I live in an RV. I'm in New Orleans for the winter and I run for Pinnacle. They run like crazy to Texas, so I'm always able to get a load to East Texas, which puts me about 5 hours from home. Unfortunately, I'm from Baltimore and going back there in April and Pinnacle rarely runs to the East Coast, so I'm moving over to Wave. I love the people at Pinnacle and really don't want to switch, but rates are a bit better at Wave and from the people I've talked to, reloads are fairly common. Pinnacle has zero reloads and constantly dead heading over 1500 miles is killing me.
the distribution hitch and sway bars u have there are ok but if your gonna tow these to the owners i would go with a Gen Y distribution hitch and sway bar set up sway is no joke bruh and im keepin it real with ya.

Nice truck, great attitude. But these videos are disingenuous. All of them. Probably the reason so many fail out here. False impressions. This is what I witness, but NEVER see the video! Lol! Example - Driver says: "I was rolling heavy, stacking cash. I was about 9 up($9000), then the Cummins gave up the ghost. Total hatch. Luckily I had the cash. But now I'm back to ground zero again. Or, more often I see the same, but no savings due to high home bills, operating expenses and payments etc. Hatched the motor or trans, with no savings. Or, catastrophic mechanical failure, use the credit card!!(But honestly your not really crushing it as they say in video) You have to pay credit card back, your LOC, mortgage, loan from loved one, Title loans, or whomever you borrowed from to repair your rig!! These are the videos you'll never see!Lol! You will break down, and eventually, badly. Not if, but when. And what thousands don't tell you is that these operations survive on debt. Almost like "faking it" Huge debt and payments no one sees, while rolling tough appearing to be balling. Essentially rolling in the red if you expose ALL of the numbers. But a retiree, with benefits and pensions, savings, investment portfolio, etc, WELL into the "black", now this is their job. He/she can sustain the hit of catastrophic mechanical failure and high operating costs while remaining head above water in the "black". Because financing their travel is the primary objective, not income to raise a family, which is rarely doable head above water. One young gentleman told me that he can sustain mechanical hits and high operating costs, because he has "side gigs!" Lol! Dude!! Side gigs are for snorkeling off the coast of Cozumel, not fixing your failing transport business. That's like saying, "My transport business is rolling strong! When ever I have a setback, I use my kids college savings funds to cover expenses!" "Of course I intend on putting it all back.... someday?" But this business is rolling strong!!
@@williamrobinson6680 some of what you’re saying is true while some is not. This business is about luck plain and simple. If you get out here and run for six months straight with zero mechanical issues on the truck, there’s no reason why you can’t rack up 5-10k. Personally, I’m not balling, I’m honest about only doing around the $70-80k mark. If you see my videos, I film every breakdown I have. Your argument about borrowing money from somewhere for an expensive emergency can be applied to most Americans in any field. Over 50% of people can’t afford a $400 emergency if it popped up. Yes people get out here and can’t sustain but that’s life. I personally don’t want this income forever but I’m also very vocal about moving up as well
The tank saves time and allows you to fuel where fuel is cheaper not when you have to. I did this job for 2 years and never bought a drop of fuel in Indiana. Live in Missouri fueled here and could usually save over $1 a gallon. Saved average abou $60 a day
