For me, this live cut is the proof positive that Morrison was every bit as legendary a singer as most of us think. Basically, you are listening to a guy who is the Pavarotti of rock and roll and a man on fire. That along with a stellar performance by the band certifies this cut as the the epitome of what rock and roll aspires to be. Thanks for the awesome post.

This song was written by a black man named Bo Diddly in 1956 and on his debut album in 1957. Hell of a version.
Yeap. He wanted to match Willie Dixon in lyrics. And I think he accomplished that.
Important to point out things like that. American rock is rooted in Black music which comes out of jazz and so on down through decades.
