This how Jeff Foster explains, what Rupert is saying here...
    YOU ARE ALREADY ENLIGHTENED
Thoughts, sensations, sounds, feelings - these are your beloved waves, arising and falling in the vast ocean that you are.
You are a wide open space, an aware presence, in which all the waves of experience are allowed to come and go.
A wave - a thought, sensation, sound or feeling - can only appear in you because on some level it has already been allowed in. Here is the amazing revelation of non-duality: you (as awareness) have already allowed everything in this moment to be just as it is! These thoughts, sensations and feelings; even this pain, fear, sadness, doubt or anger; even the most uncomfortable waves, even the ones that we call ‘dark’ or ‘negative' - who you really are has already said YES to all of it. You are unconditional in that way.
You are not a separate ‘person’ but an unconditional YES, an acceptance of all life. Light and dark, gentle and intense, pleasurable and painful waves - you are vast enough to encompass every apparent opposite. You allow it all in your giant heart.
You are the ever-shining Light that goes beyond light and shadow - you are en-light-enment itself, self-shining.
You cannot reach, or find, or lose, what you already are. Enlightenment is not a destination, friend, not something that some people have and others don't, but your original nature.
You are That. So rest, weary seeker. You have always been exactly where you were longing to be.
    - Jeff Foster

I would love some feedback here.
I was confused for awhile hearing this. I had a similar experience, as the lady did, and it was only for 24 hours. Then it faded. I learned that it was because conditioning was so strong, that it came back with a vengeance, along with the mind grasping-- holding on and thinking 'I had it, I lost it.' So, I don't know if her experience was just a state. Later Rupert said it could have been genuine, and i feel it was genuine. That seemed to me to be him changing what he had been saying about her experience of 3 1/2 months being a state. Something of the mind. that's where the confusion entered in.
But I only know my experience was not a state of mind. There was no mind, no self, no other., no separation, just ONE.
This happened in Oct '15. I have made peace with letting it go, but it took a long time not to long for it. Yes, it is true, it wasn't an abiding awakening. And this is very common I have since learned. But having had this 'glimpse', i will never be the same again. It was a big shift.
I love Rupert's videos. Very helpful, and the part about allowing feelings as they are already there in awareness, really hit home, as i have been trying to welcome them--to get rid of them. But at times welcoming feels appropriate too.

I also had an experience the same as the woman in the video but I never thought about whether it would stay or go. It was just a beautiful experience that I enjoyed while it was with me. It lasted for several months and then gradually disappeared. But.... I never returned to my pervious 'state', I still have a kind of residue, a kind of peace within me, the same peace that I felt before only now it seems deeper. Somehow it has left me with a understanding that I am always that feeling, always that peace, always that love, only I have returned to as more balanced place between the two. I know that I will return to it, I know it is still who and what I am. When I think of awareness, or take my awareness back to my true nature, I now feel a joy beyond description, it is as if my heart leaps or that my breath is taken away. So I know that it has not left me and it can never leave me. I know it is there waiting for me whenever I chose to remember it. So Bridget, it is there with you now simply not as intense.

I had a similar experience for 3 1/2 months in 1977. It was amazingly blissful. I held on that that experience after it disappeared for maybe 30 years thinking that this is what enlightenment must be. Then I was told by a different spiritual teacher that we have to let go of those peak experiences and so I let go of it and within a year I had a permanent shift to being Being/Awareness. That was 12 years ago. Since that time I have had a second shift to oneness but there is still no bliss. In the last year the bliss is coming more often, not 24/7 but coming. I have been allowing since the first shift and as I am feeling this contentment I am not looking for anything, just allowing.

This experience that you’ve had seeing your true nature is something that is ever-present. You can never be any closer or further from it. You cannot find it, it is only *veiled* in the dance of the bodymindworld. If we give our attention to the bodymindworld, the presence of awareness seems to fade. If we rest our attention, we sink into this source of awareness of which the world is made, and in resting in this awareness, we are intimately one with experience, for all experience is only made up of awareness itself.
I hope this helps someone out there. Bless you all.

Aad J.M. Lips: We all have our own perceptions of course. Watching Foster speak, I have the impression of someone speaking from his intellect and not from Presence, from experience, as Rupert speaks. Which makes it, for me, substantially different from what Rupert is telling us here, altho it may sound alike and very beautiful. This of course is nothing but my own personal impression and understanding. Regards.

I really feel the pain in this woman’s words and story. To find the source of this peace and happiness is joy itself, yet it is only an experience. I have found the same to be true. It is only a state of mind. What is left when that state of mind disappears, as all experiences do? What is present in this current experience that was present during this wonderful bliss that could be seen as enlightenment or an awakening? Whatever that is is what we are, it is that that is still here for which we long, and that longing is what separates us. Do not long. Yes, longing for ourself is the grace of God shining through, but this experience of longing must be seen as what it truly is - what it shares with all experience - simple knowing. It is this knowing, this pure experiencing, this awareness that we are. It is to rest here through the sinking of our attention from experience into our very being that grants us the knowing of ever-present and eternal I Am.
This revelation is the end of searching. The very experiencing of longing through which we seek enlightenment, the very experience of longing for which we seek to become one with the Beloved is itself simply another experience made up of nothing but *knowing*. It is the knowing with which we know this experience that we search for, yet it is always here, ever-present. It is our very nature.
Allow the waves, tides and currents of experience to fade into the background and sink into the depths of this ocean of being - that is all there is. It is not a doing, but a being. It is not a focusing of our attention, but a relaxing. We sink into the source of all the waves, tides and currents of the ocean, the deep, vast emptiness of the depths themselves.
I feel like a flimsy, unreliable light that I thought had been the light of the self has been taken away, and the true ever-present, gentle, all-knowing light - the only true light there is - has been seen, for indeed, that’s all there was. There is no effort here, no doing. It is.
Thank-you, Rupert. Thank-you Beloved so much.

God. Who could have guessed human life could be so complicated ??. We are, after all, human. Slippery as an eel , the non dual path. Who is interested in all this ? The human " separate self" is interested in it, in order for life to be happier. And therein lies the problem. Its not awareness that is suffering. Its a horrible irony. We will not find what we are looking for.

The first part Rupert is dead on. Only in true allowance do we find our true selves. Allow everything. Allow resistance.
The second part where he talks about the lady's three month happiness was a state of mind. He says she is looking for a state of mind because her experience was state of mind because it ended.
This is a misunderstanding of happiness. Happiness is always the true self shining through. It is only the mind that blocks that state. When she is looking for the mind to move out of the way in order to experience that happiness, that happiness was never the mind.
It's disconcerting Rupert makes such a fundamental error.

Krishnamurti (J. Krishnamurti Exploration into Insight Foreword) : No. You do not observe the observer. You only observe `what is' and the interference of the observer. You say you recognize the observer. You see the difference? Just go slowly. There is jealousy. The observer comes in and says: `I have been jealous in the past; I know what that feeling is.' So I recognize it and it is the observer. You cannot observe the observer by itself. There is the observation of the observer only in its relationship to the observed. When the observer arrests the observation, then there is awareness of the observer. You cannot observe the observer by itself. You can only observe the observer in relation to something. That is fairly clear. At the moment of feeling there is neither the observer nor the observed, there is only that state. Then the observer comes in and says, that is jealousy and he proceeds to interfere with that which is, he runs away from it, suppresses it, rationalizes it, justifies it, or escapes from it. Those movements indicate the observer in relation to that which is.
