This is the sniper variant for the lever-action Russian 1895 rifle available to the Scout class. I had the sight set to 8x.

I don't know what it is about the higher times optics in this game whether it's the parallax or some kind of input lag being applied to them or there is some kind of acceleration. They still feel slightly off to me. It could also be the movement/strafe speed of infantry being much faster than previous games that I might need to use different zoom levels compensate.

How to defeat Ravic:
1. Run
2: You can run fast, but you can't run away from Ravic
Running wont work, just look at the poor guy that tried to charge away at min 9:00
The most recommended is to flee to the main menu. Press the Escape key, then Exit
lmao, just to be on the safe side, uninstall bf1 when Ravic's head is turned the other way.

The biggest part of sniping in Battlefield is predicting when your shot will reach your target and where your target will be at that time. The bulletdrop isnt very important in bf1 because you usually shoot at 200-300m max. another big part of being a scout in bf1 is the tactic not to be in the effective range of your enemy because you will get suppressed and most likely miss.
its all sensitivity really. Once you get it spot on you can flick over to where u need to be to lead the shot instead of having to wait for them to get there. with good sens u can hit no scopes. Also practice centering. Like between every death say I need to put the enemy in my crosshairs AS I scope in, not scope in and then drag over to them. Takes too much time. In battlefield the autoaim if u scope in on an enemy in your crosshairs is so OP and to not use it is the biggest mistake noobs make

I gotta say the 1895 has got to be my favorite rifle in the game just from how easy it is to mow people down

@Ravic, May I ask what kind of DPI and in game sensitivity do you use? Your movements are very smooth while sniping and I have recently been playing a lot of recon.

Hey Ravic, do you ever change the sighting distance on snipers or do you just keep it on one range?
So far anything that allows it I'll run 8x. I haven't found anything comfortable for me outside of that for the longer range sights. Short range sights I'm still trying stuff out.
Sorry, what I meant to ask was what zeroing distance (live adjusting of scope range) do you use and if you ever change it, not the sight magnification.

Do you think the sweet spot mechanic is op? Sniper rifles are already so much stronger due to faster bullet travel speed. They don't need 2 strong buffs.

Generic Username They already have the much higher muzzle velocity buff. While other guns are less effective, sniper rifles getting 2 BIG buffs will just make them too powerful. A single buff is enough.

I don't like this gun but its OHK sweet spot is quite tasty. I'm a bit disappointed that scopes are so prevalent in this game. I love using the infantry version of the SMLE, really satisfying when I actually manage to do well with it

Hey Ravic, how do you feel about Dice removing the long distance one shot head shot potential for the revolvers in BF1? I mean most of them now drop off to roughly 20 damage over 30 meters. I'm just curious because of how well you used the 44 magnum in BF4.

Even if he told you, it would be irrelevant... because game sens depends from specific mouse DPI and even windows mouse settings.
Advection357 I am very aware of that, its not my firt time playing fps games ;) (all experienced players know its not hard to answer 400 dpi 10% for example) so its definitely NOT irrelevant..
Alexander Remman Mmh I suppose :P In either case...personally I wouldn't try to copy anyone's settings... I'd find a sens that's most comfortable to my play style/preference... IE if you're mostly a sniper/precision type shooter... high sens is probably not a good idea..

Ravic about the input lag / acceleration you are talking about. yes it is faster but you can change the scoped mouse sensitivity i think for high zoom optics separately from the optics

Seamus Keating That's the point. In BF4 not very many people played them due to slower velocity versing quick time to kill weapons. Bf1 is slow paced, meaning it's better for longer ranges.
It's easier close range in BF4 imo, and also really long range. Up to like 250-300m it's easier in BF1. There is less bullet drop in BF1, and the bullet velocity is higher BUT it decreases, wich means long range shots are actually harder than in BF4 imo. I wouldn't say snipers are OP in BF1, absolutely not. They rather went from being underpowered to viable :)
erbLLLL There is more bullet drop in Bf1, but since the weapons have such higher bullet velocities they will actually even out.

Yes. Something like old BF4 uniform soldier aiming at 133 is actually 150 in BF1.
if the difference continues to apply, it will be a 10 to 20 % difference.
I am yet to test this empirically, but it does seem that it will take some time to adjust every single sight to a one to one ratio.
irons and 2X's seem to be ok tough
hopefully it gets patched. I really don't want to deal with every single multiplier until I get 30 cm/360 in all sights....

after an hour of playing this game, my game starts to drop fps to the point where i cant play more, because im basically watching a diashow of bf1. could it be that shadowplay is related to this issue?
I did read somewhere that shadowplay eats 5-10% of your fps.

Ravic, is this game worth getting? Use to Bf4's fast pace game play and i feel this game is just another hardline or battlefront.And if so, is it worth getting the full edition or just wait till it gets cheaper. In South Africa its R1 900 which is ridiculously expensive.
Don't know about Ravic but I think this game is a ton of fun. Get it for sure if you can afford it!

If you like BF4 you will absolutely not be disappointed with BF1. It's the best Battlefield so far imo, and I've played every Battlefield game except for Bad Company, since it was console only.

+pagess- hardline wasn't made by dice, visceral games made it.. BF1 is a for sure purchase man.. The reviews are 9.0 - 9.8 and it lives up to those reviews. BF1 is just amazing you gotta try operation mode and the classic conquest.. you'll enjoy the experience! It's definitely a dice game.
