If you don't know how to weld then this is a good time to learn. With not too much money and some time you could have a solid drift car that won't make you miserable or fry the electronics because of a little rain. Love your content and it's great to see more of it.

Hey man, if you read this, i sincerely hope that you give the love that ae86 needs, these cars are getting harder to find and the prices are going up very fast, I might never be able to get my own ae86, they are even harder to find where i live, the closest thing i got to an ae86 are tercels, i bought mine for 350 Cad, it's a 2 door and it's pretty rusty but i never thought i could have as much fun and learn so much about driving with a car like this, nowadays, cars are getting bigger, heavier and so, the same spirit the ae86 has and every other lightweight japanese cars have is dying, I can't perfectly describe it but the driving experience of having not enough horsepower and having to compensate with momentum is such a thrilling experience, the way you have to swing the car to make it go sideways is what makes the ae86 a legend in the car culture. If I was in your position and having to decide to fix the car or let it die, i'd fix it.
The last two minutes when you started truly feeling the car, having nice angles, engine screaming -> I teared up a little. Need to get my car back on the road.
"Should i put money in this thing and buy cool stuff for it?" Yes, Yes and yes. Please, let this be a keeper. As a first step maybe fix the biggest rustholes and from there it will just slowly spiral out of control. It will increase your status in the community and we will be entertained. Win, win and win.
7:10 I was actually watching Drifthunter Albo live on instagram when Jun walked up to Albo... he ended up bringing Albo to his home and showed him all the fujiwara tofu shop original stuff... couldn't believe i was one of the few dozen people who got to watch that live! Super humble guy

That won't hopefully cost as much as a standalone + tune + ITBs and I think it would make it better enough to be more sure if it needs more power and a new tune. P.S. and I'd fix the driver's side door too!

I doubt he does anymore, but he's the son of the owner of the real tofu ten and used to run deliveries to the hotel :) Think he drove a wrx though.
