I bought a white NA RHD last year, this setup is something that I dream of doing on mine. Probaby wont reach 1000whp,I'd be happy at 600whp. Your car looks wise is identical to mine, other than the TRD spoiler... and what's funny is that I have the oooold and beat up Work Meisters on mine. Great job on your car! Just beautiful!

My dad who I consider a car person in a much different category than myself (the most he’s done as a youth was maybe swap a muffler..)
He came home other day all excited that he saw a new “Supra” and how he wants one and bla bla.
He had the audacity to say how much do they go for? Then directly tell me that I should sell mine for one of those.. 😮… I felt insulted..
Granted mine needs paint and some work. It’s a rust free LHD twin turbo one with brand new 6 speed and twin disc etc.
It’s my dream car and. He just doesn’t get it.. but he’s never seen eye to eye with me my entire life!
When I was doing engine swaps when I was 17 and buildings blocks for my DSM he would always say you’re just ruining that one. You’ll never get that back together again. And basically stress himself out because it’s just another problem. But every single time I proved him wrong bill, successful motors that man, big power myself without a real garage, or any real tools.

what was done to the 6r80 for it to be used on the Supra? did it have to be built and if so who was it built by and did it have to be converted to be used with the 2J or did it just need a converter?
I ask because Im looking at going with this becasue the ATF stage 3 is stout but ive heard many stories saying it doesnt last as long, vs this one, being that the transmission was used for heavy duty trucks and towing etc. just needs a new bell housing and shift kit to be used on the 2j and holds up to 1000rwhp. AND to top it off the core itself can be bought used for under $1000

from the owner... "We (Skye Performance) did the swap in-house. It's a Powerhouse Racing 6R80 swap kit using a Circle D triple disc lockup converter." 🙌🏼

Unless your raising your kid to be a manly woman.. I’d say whoever she marries better be a car but who loves Supras cause that will be the prize right there!
You should have got the targa top man! Best of both worlds! Since you keep it on and it’s a hard top technically.
