This was a good episode, though it was kind of what I was expecting. Usually when people talk about "big secrets" that The Church covers up, they're wrong.

Jimmy, you should file a request to see the letters whereby Pope Leo XIII engaged Sherlock Holmes to investigate the death of Cardinal Tosca and the problem of the Vatican cameos!

    Time point 4:15
"...under great pressure from Henry VIII, who knew how to exact obedience..."
    That says it all.
A perfect description of Henry VIII!

Great episode as always. Thank you. ....Have you considered doing an episode on all the stuff of Dr.Robert Sungenis? "Robert A. Sungenis is an American Traditionalist Catholic known for his Catholic apologetics and his advocacy of a pseudoscientific belief that the Earth is the center of the universe and conspiracy theories."-duck duck go

There's only one conspiracy theory i believe... Kind of. Maybe in the physical world the earth is a round ball that's is spinning so fast we can't even feel it moving, even tho when i really think about it that is the stupidest idea I've ever heard of... But In the spiritual world...
      It is def flat.

I love the name change to "Apostolic Archives." I'm in awe that in all of the Apostolic Churches, you can trace the lineage of any priest all the way back to Jesus Christ, who laid hands on each of His anointed bishop priests. I think it was an article on Catholic Answers where I learned about the archives of the lineage of the bishops. I'm not phrasing it correctly, but hope it's understood. I spent an afternoon looking up the ordination lineage of various bishops, starting with my own. Sadly, most records only go back to a certain Pope who insisted on anointing every bishop himself, and that's due to a fire that destroyed the records. We don't even know who anointed that particular Pope! But we do know that it goes all the way back to one of the Apostles who was anointed by Jesus. I'm reminded of those sitcom episodes where one of the characters shakes the hand of someone famous, like a basketball player, or a singer, or an actor, and then says, "I'm never washing this hand again!" Yeah. It's like that, only infinite times more awesome, because it's Jesus ❤

First thank you for making this episode I am greatly interested in archives and libraries of almost any kind for reasons I hope my chosen screenname typifies and have always been fascinated by the Vatican Archive since I am Catholic and I am a scholar. God bless you fine gentlemen.
I have bern looking for an opportunity to ask about it so is there any chance an episode on the Chronovizer is in the pipeline?
    Also I love cryptid mysteries.

@@andrewnietfeld7213 Biology by training but I've currently been looking into the relationship between Mathematics and physical phenomena. I am also a very interested in astronomy but did not taje the route because younger me hated math.
I was planning on getting a medical degree but the increasing amount of practices at odds with morality (I am Catholic) made me pause that for other options. I do not want to just throw away a medical degree for refusing this or that practice I find morally corrupt.
So I began looking into this area since.it requires little in the way of funding and is a relatively unexplored field, at least systematically. I have bern considering going into philosophy. I think a philosopher-scientist could do more good for society right now since I could both justify positions and perform the research to back up any claims where evidence is possible.
What do you think? Am I just wasting my time? Please do be honest, it is hard to get feedback for this.

@@andrewnietfeld7213 I have taken a particular interest in Chaos Theory and related fields and in the philosophical potential of Information Theory and Complexity Theory in dealing with the Problem of Universals since that can be analytically investigated.
This started with me looking to debunk the tired out evolution vs religion (a precursor of our current claim of the incompatibility of science and religion more generally) and I just followed the road.
As stated above I also love cryptid mysteries. Really anything mysterious, wierd, or anomalous, another reason for me to try an alternative route, to see if anything significant can be garnered from topics we have limited information on.
Finally and most importantly, I am deeply dedicated to showing the truth of the Catholic Faith.
In short, I am a Catholic scholar.

Except 99% of it is secret. Unless you know what is there, you can't ask for it. If you can't ask for it to be pulled, they won't give it to you.
You gave like 2 popular examples of stuff the public would surely know is in the archive and was requested.
Also, they do not allow scholars of all kinds with a simple bachelors degree. They deny professors, graduate students, etc, all of the time.
