I started implementing "sibling time" in our schedule this year after I had my twins. It's the same as the time you set aside for your oldest to play with your younger 2.
How does that work out for you? It was rough when we first started, and we obviously still have hiccups every now and then, but we've been pretty consistent this year doing it. So thankful for my big kiddos to help me out!
@@simplylearningtogether651 it's mostly just keep the 3 year old happy! 😆 But it's going well. He just needs someone to play with so when I'm working with one of my kiddos individually they know it's time to go play. They like it because it gives them a break. As long as they are getting along it works great! 😂🤣🤦🏾♀️
I have 3 boys ages 7,5,2 and we do a similar schedule and have to switch on and off with them taking turns playing with the 2 year old while I teach the other...I can't get them to focus as well if I'm trying to get them to do their school work at the same time either...and we LOVE quiet time also!!!
This is great to hear! I love hearing from others in similar shoes. The rotations have been working well for us this year! I focus better and so do my big girls.
I'm happy to to do that! I tried to add to it this year, but we are too much in our old habits and don't even use the new things I put on there. LOL So, I'll give it an update and share very soon!
I’m feeling a shift happening with our homeschool. Especially with now having 3 kiddos doing books (curriculum). One is testing this year per state requirement. We have a rhythm we try to follow - but It seems like each day brings something new. We try to do bi-weekly library trips, have co-op Thursdays, Wild + Free meets Fridays. My mom helps out with my 5yo 2 days, and she will also be starting German lessons the mornings we have co-op (it meets in the afternoon). We also have piano lessons, soccer (2 kids), baseball (2kids), so we are BUSY! I’m feeling a need to drop the more formal co-op as we are REALLY rushed on those days and it is more hassle and stress than I’m liking for us. So needless to say… we have a lot to figure out. 😬
It's so easy to get busy with multiple kids. I feel like right now (since it's technically still summer) we have a little less on our plate. I dropped our weekly co-op this year and was tempted to join another, but I feel like I want to keep it slow for a while. We can always add one back in later. Each year is something new to figure out I think - new seasons, new subjects! Whatever you guys decide to do, I hope it works out well for your family :)
I tried one our first year, but it wasn't a great fit for the season we were in. It's definitely in the back of my mind if we are looking to join a group in the future.

Have you considered joining a local Wild + Free group??
