    If you apply gel on your nails the process of hardening is called polymerisation and that’s what’s causing you pain if you take our hand out as soon as it starts hurting for a couple of seconds and put it back in it should stop hurting you. my nail technician explained that to me before because it was also hurting me apparently it’s normal

    • @GRAZYGRACE

      Yes she said that too! It worked🙏🏻

      @tickie99 Год назад

      You can also not put your hand in as far when you start and then just slowly it forward into the light. This just helps it to not be so intense and cause pain

    I have a UV allergy, so the little light burns me. So I never do my nails with gel ever either. I just paint them myself. 😂

    • @marialena5320
      @marialena5320 Год назад +12

      have you tried using sunscreen on your hands? sunscreen is supposed to protect from UV rays so maybe that would work! but idk if it might be different for you since you’re allergic.

    • @abellabarbie
      @abellabarbie Год назад +14

      @@marialena5320 I take allergy medicine for it every day just to be able to go outside. I use sun screen and a UV umbrella, and it still hurts. 😂 Sun block doesn't protect fully from ultra Violet light, it's just a filter, so the concentration of it from that machine in such a close proximity is even more painful. 😩

      I do my own gels with a special fingerless gloves made to wear under the UV light

      @@abellabarbie oh woah that must be hard! it’s actually the first time i’ve heard of a UV allergy and it’s kinda intriguing but i can also imagine how insufferable it must be 😭

      Well, they are implementing more nail products that work under LED light, so in the future you can do your nails too!

    I Can believe it since my nail tech does mine for 25-40 in the US 😂 she’s still a student and so she charges less just for the extra practice she gets so that once she graduates from the nail tech school she’s going to she can go straight to a big city and charge a decent amount of money. I’m always willing to let cosmetology students do my hair and nails just because they do a decent job (besides the one time I left with dark red hair and not pink, I loved it more than I would’ve ever loved pink) but I just love helping them feel more and more confident for their degree(s)

    It can burn worse if the top layers of the natural nail are filed too much or damaged. I just learned this the other day, lol. The heat generated during the curing process typically doesn't hurt me

  • @kiwiwooq

    It’s because of exothermic reaction grace😭 my nails burn but they slayyy so I don’t mind💅🏽🤷‍♀️

      I’ve definitely put up with the burning for the same reasons 😅 here’s what helped me: doing thinner coats, trying different gels and lamps (some have a low power or low heat mode), and you can always take your hand out for a couple seconds and put it back in the lamp
      Your manicure turned out so cute and the salon looks amazing! Thanks for showing us 💅🤩

      They've found it actually causes real damage. People are getting more melanoma under their nails from it.

    ❤️❤️🎉 I would recommend getting a pair of uv light gloves and apply sunscreen or uv light protection before getting your nails done. Love the content and you💗🥰

    If they burn, wave your hand back and forth slightly , it prevents the burning. Don’t wave them far enough to touch the sides.

  • @ssc4153
    @ssc4153 Год назад

    There is a way to prevent the burn.......slowly enter your hand into the light....you can even stop for a few seconds before putting your hand completely under the lamp.

    I would always put on sunscreen on your hands to protect you from the UV lights they also have special gloves some salons use but using sunscreen will help

  • @saraipimentel2018

    The burning in the UV light is normal, it’s a chemical reaction of the gel going from a liquid to a soils. Either try starting super far back from the Uv light and working your way in so it doesn’t cure so fast or put it in for 5 seconds and take it out for 5. On some UV lamps there is a 90 sec option that cures super slow so there is little to no burning. Always try to put sunblock on your hands if you can 🥰

    If she filled too much of your natural nails or your natural nails are too thin. It burns. Gel nails are not good for us. But it looks really good. I do gels too ❤

    If she apply gel on your nails, it won’t burn too much. If she apply on skin accidentally it will

    The light burns you cause one you may have a UV or LED allergy, or two because it’s a lamp that dosnt carry non burning and dosnt have one of the safety lights
