Question, my oil pan broke after running over a small wooden thing on the freeway. It made a huge hole in the pan and I drove it about half a mile to make it home. The oil completely leaked but it didn’t try turning off nor as of now is the engine locked. I manually turned the pulley with a ratchet and all pulleys are rotating without turning on the motor. Does the possibility of my engine making it thru seem likely? 🥺 A neighbor told me that my engine would more than likely be damaged and need a new one since I drive it while all the oil was spilling out for about 5-8min. After parking it and turning it off, the oil was still leaking but the hole is HUGE. I’m changing out the oil pan myself thanks to your video by the way!
Yeah I would have to agree with your friend. If you ran it for any extended amount of time without oil in there there's a very high chance that your engine is internally damaged. I'm sorry I couldn't tell you better news 😥
You took oil pan off but you didn’t really show how you took it off you made the video but it’s not complete you should show people how you take off the oil pan from the block that’s the whole question and you did not show it, so I really don’t know why people give you the thumbs up there’s more to it to take pan then your video shows you did not video you’re struggling part 😊 professional 😅

How did you get the pan off without hitting the oil pump?
@@pandamesteth7941 very carefully. I had to loosen the pan first. Then I had to wiggle it until it hit the right angle
