Kentucky now does the Spiderman pointing meme after home runs. The guy who hit it, the batter on deck, and any baserunners just meet at home plate and point at eachother
As an older baseball fan, who is not a 100% purist, I have no issue with celebrations. However, I take issue with when they happen. If you're pimping a 1 run dinger while losing by 10 runs, then nah. Time and place. It's like a WR pointing at a first down, while losing by 30 and 2 minutes left.
Cut it all out. Celebrate if you win. Really celebrate if you win the championship. Otherwise, you're just showing a complete lack of shame, because most of the time you make an out at the plate. Baseball is a humbling game--for people who have self-awareness. These same morons who will celebrate a simple double will dance all the way to the dugout when they get picked off, and then celebrate next time without even remembering what happened last time. When I'm coaching, my players won't be doing that nonsense. One of the reasons to play sports is to learn life lessons, and this isn't one of them. Look at what Nolan Ryan did after his 7th no hitter.
@@blahblah49000 Absolutely hard disagree... Gimme the Rhys Hoskins bat spike.. Gimme the Jose Bautisa flip. These guys are humans with emotions, and we should expect them to act as such. Not robots.
@@ThePhilosophizer8488 Your mistake is to conflate humility with a lack of emotion. Was Cal Ripken, Jr. like a robot when he broke Lou Gehrig's record? Did he do cartwheels around the field, flex his arms like an ape, and scream like a monkey? Yet which of Cal Ripken, Jr. and Rhys Hoskins has more to celebrate? Perhaps you should philosophize about that. ;)
@@blahblah49000and you’re confusing celebrating with lack of sportsmanship and discipline. If it’s something worth getting excited about, then get excited
@@shierawesome I am not conflating anything, because excessive and frequent celebration is indeed a matter of poor sportsmanship and a lack of discipline. By the same token that one excessively celebrates common desirable occurrences in a game, one should be crushed by equally common undesirable occurrences, like striking out. And, indeed, we see that undisciplined athletes return to the dugout after a whiff and smash their helmet and the gatorade jug, and people like you celebrate their "passion," and the next generation watching on TV goes to their Little League games and imitates their "heroes." Ten years later those kids are playing pro ball and the cycle continues, only moving in one direction. Meanwhile, actual greats of the past considered even great achievements just a matter of doing their jobs. Did Cal Ripken, Jr. do somersaults and cartwheels around Oriole Park when he broke Lou Gehrig's record? What did Lou Gehrig say to the Yankee fans at his retirement? How did Nolan Ryan act after his 7 no-hitters? Nah, none of that matters, just flip your bat and dance around the bases when you get a double, then smash your helmet and break your bat when you strike out. Such passion, much wow. That's what I really tune in for, not the actual playing of the game.
Feel like somebody could repurpose some of the Navy flight deck hand signals to good effect for baseball: the salute, point to a few people, kneel, touch the deck, arm forward for launch.
How about a video on rituals that players have...all the outfielders stepping on first (or third) at the same time coming out of the dugout, pitchers jumping over the chalk, middle infielders running to second and touching gloves, Yankees roll call, and everything else you've seen.
I think the grenade throw only works as a homer celly, because the team can join in. By itself, i think its kinda weak Yo, that coordinated outfielder celly went HARD
I love seeing players celebrate, especially considering the work they put in. Thay being said, these celebrations had no business being as hilariously goofy as they are
Homey in the purple pinstripes is playing for University of Evansville.. they just made a push to the super regional but lost the series 2-1 to the #1 ranked team in the country UT... he's still a jabroni.. but perhaps has a little more reason to be excited than a high school kid since he's actually playing college ball in the tourney...
When I was playing ball, much more than a fist pump and the next guy up got a fastball in the ribs. But, these celebrations are probably better for keeping fan interest up I guess.
Celebrations are great. I just can't get behind stuff that is obscene or taunting the other team. You wouldn't go up to a guy in the street and talk shit so don't pretend that wearing a uniform and cleats gives gives you an excuse to do so without retaliation. Only exception of course is during a feud. I'm not sure why young players think every expression has to require an emote. Too much Fortnite growing up?
I love seeing some personality but honestly the coldest is when someone hits a dong and doesn't seem phased, maybe a lil love ya to the dugout and bullpen
Feel like there’s a fine line between celebrating and going too far. Like the pepper shaker one in the beginning. The pepper shaker itself was fine. It’s the extra stuff after it that’s annoying. Even the dragon ball Z one was cool, but the Kentucky guy after with the hula hoop dance was annoying to me. Feels disrespectful.
Someone goes yard. Rounds the bases with no emotion just a nice jog. Gets home and picks their bat back up and starts to step in the box, but the guy on deck is close by and mimes/tells him he hit a HR. The batter then swags out. Play on amnesia. Not really all that funny, just something I thought of while watching. Some of this stuff is just ridiculous. I will say that nap time one, where he pulled up the covers and laid down was freaking funny. Maybe only do that on a ground rule double b/c it’s in the books no worries.
Curious. If a fielder makes a great play to save a run on a bad pitch do pitchers give them anything in the dugout? Like a tip or something. Just as way to say thank you for saving my ass
Walks are happening these days! But honestly, if it’s a crazy battle against a guy that is usually dominant, I’m all for it. Like if I were hitting again skenes in a big game in the SEC, and I battled for 11 pitches and worked a big walk in a close game… I might give it a little sauce on the way to first.

I NEED VIDEO. That’s right up my alley
Hey I’m a Kentucky fan
the mookie one fucking killed me😭
It is the dodgers and LA soooo not surprised they got some fruity ass celebration 😂
The way he shook his head
What time
Trevor: “celebrations are great”
Trevor the second he sees anyone celebrate: 💀💀💀

The hadouken one is fantastic. You love to see it.
That one, the grenade, the three outfielders doing the dunks, and the 360 dunk after the homer were my favorites.
Congrats on the future little May! I loved the Red Sox outfielder 'camera' celebration from years ago.
The ball at the end was CRUSHED lmao
The hadouken one i feel was definitely supposed to be a kamehameha 😅
Your face with the cookie celebration sent me lol 😂
I love that personalities are starting to be seen in baseball. Not stuffy anymore
🙌
absolutely LOVE that my boys from CCU got a little feature with that outfielder celebration.
My favorite is Charlie Condon hitting the Purple Cobra from Dodgeball when he doubles
Some kid did a triple celly stepped off the base our 3rd basemen tagged him to end the game we won, I was dying in leftfield
“Jesus Christ kid” was my exact reaction 😅
here is a sub
And another sub
I think we should rate Trevor's reactions. Those are better than the cellies.
i almost screamed when i saw that the PA’s made it into this lol! great video!
Trevor May is the man. Love your fun comments. Keep it up.
Feel like somebody could repurpose some of the Navy flight deck hand signals to good effect for baseball: the salute, point to a few people, kneel, touch the deck, arm forward for launch.
For that guy to slide into second (head first I might add;) and to do that Munchin celebration was fantastic!!! Still can’t stop laughing

i do pepper grinder because of lars nootbar im a cardinals fan by the way
I’m dead at 3:20 😂. Video I think is at 18 million views.
Also no he didn’t lose his scholarship was a joke.
the cubs spiderman webs still my favorite, subtle yet cool
The snooze is a popular move in KBO
Second one could be for party animals outfield at the end of a game, inning, trick play catch
I think the grenade throw only works as a homer celly, because the team can join in. By itself, i think its kinda weak
Yo, that coordinated outfielder celly went HARD
That mookie one looked like Side and Speedy whenever they get together
I love seeing players celebrate, especially considering the work they put in.
Thay being said, these celebrations had no business being as hilariously goofy as they are
1:23 maybe an outfielder celly after a win?
Love the channel man…you gotta do a best pitcher batter fight vid…
The Air Force one had more!!!! His teammates salute him at home plate!
I was coming back to say the same thing!
here is a sub

Great content as usual keep it up!!!
That little league play is an all-timer
3:03 celebration is crazy 💀💀💀
what even is it tho
I’m all for celebrations but at least wait a couple seconds for the defender to get out of the way.
hooooly shiiiiit Killer Bean!!!!! thanks for that nostalgia kick!
Yo Trevor I’m a big Mets fan I saw you play you were amazing
Bro, you have to show Manu Ginobili when talking about the Euro step
that kid who is on the purple is getting beamed next ab
What do you think of elly de la Cruz’s celly on base hits?
The last pepper shaker
I can’t with mookie bets bro😭
Hadouken one was sick
Trevor can you give your take on The Athletic survey about overrated players? Jazz was named the number 1.
I wish a lot of these guys had heard the phrase "Act like you've been there."
I have a ball signed by you when you were on the Mets
The sus high school ones are suprising that they didn't get kicked because in my high school you'd get the boot for "excessive celebration"
first time ever watching a video from this channel and my first thought was, why does he look like airrack🤣
When I was playing ball, much more than a fist pump and the next guy up got a fastball in the ribs. But, these celebrations are probably better for keeping fan interest up I guess.
The one with the party animals you could do after a win if they where all in the outfield 🫡
That occurred to me after recording… and it’s absolutely 🔥
@@TrevorMayBaseball I have a great vid idea. You should rate players drip 💧 🔥🫡
Did a double celly in state championship. Got thrown out at third. Never doing a celly again
3:32 Dude your mother or sister was at that game lol

no idea why the pepper shaker one was crazy. can someone explain?
Gobbling glizzies
Whats your rating of your former team’s Dune salute celebration?
Tennessees christen Moore is the guy on the thumbnail
1:18 call it "3 sum"
Good vid Trevor may baseball
MORE!!!!
The new Dodgers one is😬
what did you rate the Air Force salute?
You missed the best part of the Air Force celebration
The kid who celebrated a double and gets tagged out because he picked his foot up off the bag. Then i watch this and see it happen on a triple. 😅😅😅
Celebrate after a win. Eveyone wants to celebrate every little thing they do now.
Are balls bad or good? Some ratings I feel like it’s 3.5 bad
I love seeing some personality but honestly the coldest is when someone hits a dong and doesn't seem phased, maybe a lil love ya to the dugout and bullpen
I was hoping to see Bryce Harper's soccer celebration in this one. Perhaps next time then
the hadouken is my celly lol
Hell yeah
You used a ton of my videos from my accounts. 😂 This video was hilarious. Hopefully we do business in the future I’ll be in touch 🤝
This is what all these dudes do lol
This is why I just do the Braves chop. I’m a Yankee fan but it’s such a classic celly and it ain’t over the top.
Bro had to use a thumbnail of a TN celebration that hasn’t been used in 2 years😭😭
you had to watch the end of the air force one

I fucking love Trevor

W pitcher for not hating on jazz
Still no stone cold celebration 🤔
Celebrate all you want, just don't be pissed when you get drilled next ab.
the sleeping one... you got no time to do dat these days... mlb clock... sigh
Mariners win dance?
Trevor why tf do you hate Tennessee’s “Jawn” celebration? It was the best in college two years ago
Just not my vibe. I like the “quiet killer” style more myself, but to each their own. The Jawn celly always game me villain energy. That make sense?
“I blame Steph curry”😂😂😂
God loves y’all
Airrack?..
Show your cat! 🐱
I'd do these if I got on base
Aren't you the twins player who made fortday and streamed fortnite
My freind hit a double and got out by celebrating
This video was just an excuse for Trevor to say balls as much as possible
Bro, the dog hair and lint on your microphone cover? Come on!
I’m about sick of it…….
Theoretically it's fine, but it seems like no one is capable of doing anything that isn't embarrassing af.
0:02
4:02 Who cares? Your mom was young once too
Maybe they care maybe they don’t 🤷♂️
Celebrating doubles to that extent is cringe.
