10 years of Big League service gets the full pension. I remember the Brewers DFA’d Lorenzo Cain on the exact date of his 10 years. Cain wasn’t producing and could’ve been cut from the team much earlier, but the Brewers did right by him and let him stay on the active roster so he could get his retirement pay. 👍
Crazy fact about Lorenzo Cain is that he didn’t start playing baseball until his sophomore year of high school. Which if you think about it, is just insane. I was not a fan of his but I heard that stat when he played in the World Series with Kansas City and I never forgot that.
As opposed to 39/40 share of his pension lol, why would he care?
@@stinkstick17 so you wouldn't care if you got fired a few weeks before getting your full retirement benefits and instead only received 39/40%? I'm sure you'd be cool with that.
@@stinkstick17 even if he doesn't need the money, cutting him a few days before the date would have been a bad look for the team, it's just the decent thing to do out of respect to the player
the way your comment gets cut off before clicking on it made me think the brewers did him dirty! i'm glad i clicked and expanded the comment. good for the brewers and cain!
My son was the MLB Asst. S&C Coach with the Red Sox, when they made it to the ALCS in ‘21 he received a six figure playoff bonus and to date has not touched that money. He was with the Portland Seadogs in ‘18 and when Red Sox won the WS he received tickets to two homes games, went to all the VIP events and was given a WS ring. He has since left the Red Sox organization this year, due in part to not wanting to travel extensively anymore and some health problems. Although he left MLB baseball he is still in the S&C field with EXOS in Phoenix, AZ. He loved his time in professional baseball but the everyday grind took a toll on his mental and physical health. These are all great perks, but the everyday Joe doesn’t realize how hard it is to get to 10 years in MLB.
I'm glad your son got to have that experience in the MLB, I bet he will cherish it, even though he's stepped off that treadmill for now!
No one asked lol
@@BIllBurdBaseball1992...Oh... Oh the irony is too much... Who asked what *YOU* thought about OP's comment?!?
@@BoboMcBooboy never said what I thought lol. I’m saying no one asked for him to write an essay that 4 people see lol.
Not exactly factory work. I have been an Umpire for 24 years and the grind and travel is at times way over the top. However it's what I chose to do so I don't expect any sympathy from anybody and have seen most of the Country doing what I love even though it involved a lot of sacrafices.
"Rickey (Henderson) was the most generous guy I ever played with, and whenever the discussion came around to what we should give one of the fringe people - whether it was a minor leaguer who came up for a few days or the parking lot attendant - Rickey would shout out, 'Full share!' We'd argue for a while and he'd say, 'Fuck that! You can change somebody's life!' I admired Rickey's heart, but I usually came down somewhere in the middle. " Mike Piazza
There’s a couple guys in every clubhouse that feel the same way, and I love it.
I'm a bat boy and the playoff share was much appreciated this year :)
How much was it?
Since we're pretty much anonymous here, how much was it? Or ballpark figure?
I'm assuming as a bat boy you got a partial share but anyone who received a full share in 2022, earned based on the finish of their team...
Here is a list of the value of a full share by post season team with the number of full shares given next to it:
Astros: $516,347 (59)
Phillies: $296,255 (72)
Padres: $152,709 (70)
Yankees: $145,820 (72)
Guardians: $45,795 (60)
Braves: $44,878 (60)
Mariners: $42,221 (69)
Dodgers: $36,148 (82)
Cardinals: $10,351 (63)
Blue Jays: $10,007 (68)
Mets: $9,480 (68)
Rays: $8,387 (79)

MLB is awesome to its players
Love it when MLB players have personal channels on YT. It’s always cool seeing you guys as normal dudes expressing yourselfs. Thanks Trev.
So dope to see an MLB player giving the fans an inside look at the things we might not know!
My Dad played eight years in the big leagues back in the 60s. He received a "lifetime" pass, of which he was very proud and that he was able to use through the 70s and 80s. However, by the mid 90s the people in a couple of different ticket offices (I won't say which organizations/ballparks) acted like they had never seen such a thing. Seems there was a limit to what "lifetime" means. On a better note, upon my Dad's passing, one of the organizations that he had played for sent my Mom flowers....the Yankees.
Who was your dad? Interesting story.
This is such an awesome and insightful video! One of the best I’ve seen in awhile and I’m very thankful to have players like you who are able to provide so much transparency to the fans!
Regarding the 4-star hotel requirement, in 2008, when the Tampa Bay Rays had to stay extra days in Philadelphia during the World Series because of rain, they had to check out of their original hotel due to it being booked up for others on those additional nights. They had to move to a hotel in Wilmington, DE, to get the right number of stars.
It’s not like Wilmington is far
I worked in a place that was connected to a 4 star hotel. For like 2 years their was teams and umpires staying there occasionally. The umpires were pretty cool and always left us good tickets with a tip. Lost the 4 star rating and never saw another ball player there.
@@benjaminstuver3825 But most of the time, the visiting teams stay much closer to the ballpark. Well, at least the ballpark is in the direction of Delaware. If they had been forced to stay in, say, Princeton, NJ, they would have been in the wrong direction.
Honestly, I'm surprised Philly even HAS anything higher than 2 star hotels...
@@farpointgamingdirect hahaha 😂
Nelson Cruz is the nap room king. Glad to see it’s becoming more commonplace.
Dude is old. Needs to retire.
Bartolo colon used to be the king tho
Mike napoli tho
One time I accidently napped at a twins game. I had low iron :(. I needed the nap room.
@@GOTHICMAMBA35 you lost your energy?
Real interesting stuff. That gold card is something I've heard about, but seeing it looks sweet. Also, as a Mets fan wish you well in Oakland. I liked the passion you brought to the mound. Nobody sweats like you coming out of the pen. The coloring of the numbers and wording to the Oakland color scheme was a nice touch. Good luck
Gonna be honest, I don't follow baseball that closely anymore but you earned a sub just based on your naturally funny presentation and editing style. good shit dude.
Same here.
Thank you Trevor and I'm actually a twins fan as well. This behind the scenes look is awesome. Do what players eat, contract negotiations (jet, private hotel suite, a horse and a farm? Lol) and what players think of other players . That would be good
Trevor Bauer has done most of these things
I read that when Prince Fielder was w/ the Tigers, he had a clause that gave him a suite when on the road..
This was very cool to see how transparent you were about an industry that not many people know about the nuts and bolts of the inside. Also, it was really fun to watch. You just got a new subscriber!
It's in the MLB contract...open to anyone to see
Gonna miss you on the Mets! Thank you for giving us fans an opportunity to peak behind the curtain to see what it’s like to be in the majors.
I won’t I need the Mets to win and middle to late relief is our biggest problem that I’m still not seeing improvement with. Trevor is cool but his era was not.
@@Freedathedog unnecessary comment on Trevor mays channel dude

@@benjaylehman why I’m sure his self-esteem is fine. He lives a pretty good nice. Maybe you hide what you really think to be nice but I don’t
gonna miss that 5 era right?
Love baseball. Amazed at how difficult and humbling it is, and the difference between a terrific HS player, a solid AA player, and an MLB'er. Good luck man.
Thank you!
College Baseball is the purest form of baseball. No concerns of salaries, names or most importantly,
personalities. You play the game right or you don't play! Any ending, 1st batter on base...you bunt, you
steal, you try to induce a balk, you get him over to 2nd base...only occurs routinely in College Baseball!
An old friend from high school works has worked for an NFL team for the last 30 years. He is at the team complex most of his day from early morning to late at night every day during the season. He said that during the time between the start of training camp to two weeks after the Super Bowl, he basically has had every meal for that time paid for by the team if at the facility, or a team executive, a coach, or one of the players if on the road. He gets a free Super Bowl ring if the team wins and if they go to the playoffs he gets a bonus. He gets "autograph day" where he can have the players sign stuff for him. His car is paid for by the team if he drives it to and from the facility. So, if he does errands on the way to work or on the way home he can use the car.
I figured out that it is about an extra $60K a year in benefits.... tax-free.
Absolutely, those are all awesome perks. There’s one caveat though… absolutely zero free time. Especially for the training staff.
Interesting stuff. Thanks for posting.
Not sure a SB ring would be tax free though
@@maxdawson2948 oh, rings are a whole other thing. You have to pay luxury taxes on those things… and that can be quite the sum
@@TrevorMayBaseball I’d venture to say 100% of folks would be ok with it 😂
One of my high school coaches had his gold card. I asked him about it and he told me his last game in the MLB was his last time he was in a stadium.
First of all, going to miss you on the Mets this year....secondly, this was incredible. Thank you for sharing this info and I hope that you're able to remain healthy and get your 10 years of service time. Was awesome to see how the guys treated Escobar last year, I hope the A's do the same for you. Best of luck this season, unless you're playing the Mets, I'll be rooting for you!
he stinks. 5 era. who cares
Cool stuff Trevor. I definitely didn’t know about a lot of these but this is the type of content and insight us fans look for from ya. Gold card is sick tho
It’s the best thing imo, that would be awesome to use with my kids
@@TrevorMayBaseball Have you ever used it for the international games? Free entry with box seats for the London Games sounds amazing
Car shipping -- didn't think about that one , but that would come in handy after Spring Training .
but that Gold Card--- that's cool .
It is a $1500-2000 benefit.
In fantasy baseball, I used to pick you up off the waiver wire and start you for home starts at Target Field. Didn’t realize you had a great personality.
Ok so #14, the playoff shares!!! That is so amazing that you are able to give a "full share" to someone who is not on the field but has been with the teaming helping in their way. That is life changing and such a great way to give back! I would love a video if you could speak with someone who got a full share and show how it changed their life!
You can just credit me with the idea 😉
The more shares they have, the less the $$. The payout is a set amount... Most WS winning teams have between 60-80 full shares...so $35M/80 shares is $438K
@@andrewj9831 Thank you for letting me know! That sounds amazing and I was thinking that a bat boy, clubhouse attendant , etc. that would be life changing money and would have to produce a story or two
It was good to see you were away & empathetic about the disparity in pay between on field & off field personnel. More of that would go a long way in baseball & pro sports, in general.
I was a minor league Athletic Trainer in the Dodgers org in 88 & 89. I was in my mid 30's & had been in Sports Medicine for 10+ yrs by then.
In '88, Orel Hershiser's younger brother was on my team, we got to be good friends, (he was post Tommy-John & 3-4 yrs older than the team). I saw Gordie during the World Series & met O during the post season.
During spring training, occasionally a player from the big league side would escape to the minor league training room for a change of scenery. O would come around & we had a chance to get to know each other.
Post 88 & the Series win, O signed a record breaking contract during the Spring. Cause of that, there was an article breaking his salary down to pay period, game, pitch, etc.
He was on our side & I asked him how much grief he was getting from the guys about the signing. He admitted a bit & we talked about it.
One of the strange things, I thought, about the Dodgers was, on pay someone would show up w/ your pay check in a envelope; they could always find you.
O & I were handed our checks, & I joked, wanna flip on trades?
We chuckled & I told him I read a breakdown on your new contract to how much per inning; he saw it, too.
'Wanna know what's funny? The check in your envelope is, if the numbers were right, within 50 bucks of my annual contract.'
Really!? O said, You have a Masters Degree, don't you? Two kids?
Yep... & yep.
'That's surprising, I figured you guys made as much as a coach.'
Nope, about half of a coach, a third of a mgr.
The next day, O showed up first thing in the morning carrying a big azz box, like 3 x 3 x 3 ft, one of the big shoe boxes.
It was about half full of shoe boxes w/ batting gloves & sliding pants thrown on top. He'd put together all his extra stuff & hit up the rest of the team for donations. He gave it to me & said, here, sell this stuff to the Vero team this year & make some extra money.
Through the rest of the Spring, O brought a box over for every minor league trainer, except the AAA guy cause he made good money, (and he was a dick, anyway, lol).
THAT was a class act by O; now, as an old man, it hits me right in the feels.
Look forward to your channel, curious where you're going with it.
GeoD
Trevor, good job explaining the perks. Since you know the importance of the service time, free agency rules, etc., I think you should make a video that shows your subscribers the history of these perks and talk about the players before you that sacrificed and risked their careers to fight for them. Knowledge is power!
playoff shares is such an awesome thing. Thanks for bringing that to light and making this video trevor!
Hope you have a great year with Oakland this season. If you're good and stick it out, you're within a half season of the much vaunted 10 year mark. I'm rooting for you!
Trevor "Baseball" May is the best baseball player out. He does amazing 3 point swings, and gets so many holes in one. I love his minecraft gameplay. ⚾
this was pretty cool to listen to... reminds me of when I was a kid and dreamed of playing in the MLB. We couldn't bat, but me and a friend would make crazy catch-and-throw scenarios that got a little to out of hand... I'm kind of wondering why we never seriously hurt ourselves lol
My grandfather played parts of 2 seasons in the big leagues with the St.Louis Browns in 1941(fall call up) then Perl Harbor happened and he and many others joined the service. He made it back up to the 1947 NY GIANTS (his official rookie year) also Jackie Robinson's Rookie year across town with the Brooklyn Dodgers. I've always wondered if my grandfather ever pitched against Robinson. He also pitched 16 years in the minor leagues where he once threw 30 strike outs in a 16 inning game. That record will never be broken. He' had a dubious MLB record for the highest era of any pitcher to throw a shutout. He did that at Wrigley Field. His Name is Clarence "Hooks" Iott . Oddballs of baseball did an article about him in 2013...
On June 29, 1947, the giants faced the Dodgers. Hooke Iott did indeed face Jackie! It was a single by Robinson in the 9th inning that got him pulled. He did go 8 though! Even though Hooks walked 7 and gave up 4 runs, in the 5th inning he helped his own cause by singling in the tying run! 😎
The game before this one went MUCH better! Complete game shutout!
Great video! I'm a lifetime Twins fan and I'm so glad to see you're so on top of your own interests, you know what you're doing --- Kids, invest in your 401(K)!
My favorite details were the MLB identification card and the Gold Card. Never heard of these before.
As a Twins fan, was always pulling for ya when you were here. I was really invested in your success and was sad to see you go. Best of luck to you getting to the 10 years of service time. I hope you kill it this year!
One winter when I was in college all of a sudden James Loney started showing up to our facility absolutely GRINDING. Finally I asked someone what was up and they were like “he’s 3 weeks away from 10 years service” he never got signed 😅
Wow! He was a good player, surprised to hear that!!
During Covid my wife today, nurse traveling job and they were paying her a crap load of money every week. I kept telling her you’re making more money in one week than rookie MLB players lol. She was making almost $13,000 a week. that’s how desperate hospitals were in certain states for emergency room nurses. she still does it sometimes but now today in 2024 they pay about $3000 a week which is still really good money but during Covid holy crap it was insane what they were paying
I got my Fortday baby blue from Target Field! You made my kids Twins fans that day. I can't thank you enough for that moment in time with my kids. Just a perfect day.
That is true 10 years of being in the league and you get your full pension. When I was in college the personal trainer for our school was Ozzie Canseco Jose Canseco's twin brother and me being a smart-ass I am asked him if they send pension checks to whatever jail he's locked up in at the moment. He smiled giggled and told me yes. So for all the young ones out there just make sure you're up there for at least 10 years and you'll get a check coming to you no matter where you're at or what situation you're in🤣🤲
Gonna miss you on the Mets but also want to say this is the best video you've ever done. Loved it.
missing that 5 era!
This is really awesome content, dude. I love hearing an ex MLB player's takes and secrets! I've been watching a ton of baseball youtubers lately to get me hyped up for Spring Training and the '24 season, so this is the PERFECT channel! Keep up the good work, bro. This is super cool.
Trevor, this is the best pro athlete RUclips video I’ve ever seen. I don’t follow baseball much these days, but you’re super watchable! Thanks!
Very kind, thank you!
i knew, well, assumed, half of this stuff.. but it's nice to have it confirmed so comically. thanks for having a personality. we'll miss you in NY.
Good luck in Oakland May! I’ll be cheering for you every time you come out of the pen! I hope you get the closer role.
I know the clubhouse manager for a team, and he said that he gets a full playoff share is a huge reason he’ll stay with his team. He said it can be an insane check if the team goes deep.
That’s one of the best parts of playoff shares
Love the channel, I wish more big leaguers did this. 💯
I hope more start to get into it, but it’s a lot more work than most realize, so I get. I’m just glad it’s so fun to do
Trevor Bauer
@Gerry'sYou-Tube Videos lol why would they have to be brave? Obviously you don’t know all the details there are out there. The girl set him up. It’s obvious. He rocks the boat and that’s the only reason he got this bullshit suspension
Free travel, free food, per diem on the road, just knowing you made it there is incredible!!!
Wow! Never knew any of those things about playing in the Majors! That’s really interesting! Best of luck in Oakland Trevor! Going to miss you in the Blue and Orange
LMAO… back in the 70s, our band was put up in a hotel 6 when all of them were just a bunch of small, clapboard buildings that looked ready to fall down. Some of them were literally leaning. We all expected to wake up in a Motel Hell type of place the next morning.
Great hearing the insides of baseball, well done May, more content like this, this channel is going to take off
From kelso! Never even heard of your page. This is awesome. Good job buddy..graduated 2 years before ya. Dad and i always enjoyed your outings.
When I worked for the Rangers, on occasion, the team chefs would use me as a Guinea pig if they were making a dish they were unfamiliar with. Granted, it was only when I was in the back of the clubhouse and not on the field.
Worked for the AWESOMENESS that is the Texas Rangers myself one season, way back in 2006, at the amazing cathedral of a baseball stadium. It was an incredible work environment and I loved every second of it. Now, yes I'm glad to finally have a WS title and air conditioning, but the ballyard looks like a dang shed. It's horrible from the outside!
Mets fan here. Love you Trevor. Wish things worked out. You are a good man and wish you all the success.
Oh, this is so helpful! I've wondered about a lot of these things over the years - thank you!!
Glad it was helpful!
That was cool... a lot of fans like to see behind the curtain to know what it's like to be an MLB player.
You should do a video about how drastic the differences from AAA to MLB are. Travel, hotel, food, pay.... I think it would be cool to see how some life long Milb'ers live.
Great suggestion, there might be a collaboration opportunity somewhere…
Incredible how many pro athletes went BK and have nothing
THIS is the kinda info I WANT from a PLAYER! Nice one! 👌
Just wanna say.. I beat this guy in Giant Connect 4 at Twins Fest and have always loved him since
My dad has that 8 year service gold card, we get into every game for free it’s the best lol but sometimes the people that give us the tickets get pissed and make us go through trouble just because they’re salty we just get in without paying.
So interesting!
Whoa, a Mr. Ballen comment on a Trevor May video with no comments after 11 hours. Love your videos bud.
Random to see a John Allen comment on a baseball vid
Big fan John!
John and Lungy love baseball: confirmed
Great video! I know stuff like pension, health insurance, 401K matching, and playoff share money are more important- but that MLB GOLD CARD is seriously the dopest thing I have ever seen. Are you kidding us? It's like too cool to actually be true.
I feel the EXACT same way!
Hi Trevor. I'm currently making a video about arbitration and how teams approach it by trying to get players to sign for as low as possible because it can impact future arbitration as well. Your comment about TJ in your 3rd year locking you into low arbitration raises compliments what I'd already put together really well. Would it be OK if I screen capped that 20 second segment and used it in my video?
Thanks.
Of course, go for it!
@@TrevorMayBaseball Thank you sir!
I’m thinking about applying to MLB once I get out of college.. I played a lot of ball when I was younger so I’m hopeful that experience will impress the clubs.. I assume I’ll need to start out sitting the bench my first year, but no doubt I’ll be starting in year two..
Baseball, historically, is a leader in upward mobility
Gonna miss in Queens Trevor best of luck in Oakland🤘
Old man checking in.... 401k'ing $34k+ a year.... That's like, what some people make in a year. This may now be the #1 reason I regret not being able to hit a curve ball when I was a kid...
As an athletics fan i am very excited for you to go to Oakland!
Same here!!
Miss you already, Trevor! You are fun to watch, and I will miss you at Citifield! Much good luck to you and your family! Love your blue eyes!
This guy is way above the norm for acuity and expressiveness for a MLB player.
how many times did it take you to try to spell these words before you drove to the $store and bought a 99 cent dictionary ...
Thanks for sharing and being humble enough to acknowledge the privileges of an MLB player and not taking the extravagant lifestyle for granted.
We’re extremely privileged. I think it’s extremely important to always remember how those privileges came to be and what they are for.
@@TrevorMayBaseball I was about 13 yrs. old growing up in St.Louis when Cardinal outfielder Curt Flood challenged MLB's reserve clause after being traded away. Of course this went to court eventually led to free agency. As I recall the total team salaries of the 1967 World Series champs barely hit $1million or was close to it.
I got a Athletics jersey. It doesn’t have a name on it but I will imagine it says May. Thanks for what you did in New York!
No wonder a family of four has to take out a second mortgage to attend ONE baseball game.
That’s not true at all…. NFL absolutely, but mlb is pretty reasonable
Getting sent down has to be the worst feeling in the world. Not only are you not in show and making money you lose all the food, travel and comfort perks. Eating like a king to eating Burger King and chartered flights to getting up at 5 AM to fly like everyone else.
AAA is largely a "fly" league as opposed to the trains and buses of years ago.
Trevor we will miss you in NY. Good Luck with new team
We know he's gonna be missing these benefits now that he's with the A's
The Gold Card and pension accrual time helps explain a lot of why the Braves carried and kept Charlie Culberson on their roster for a chunk of last year despite not playing him. He did get an extra 73 days to help towards his pension, but he's still 50 days short of being able to earn his gold card. That also is one possible explanation as to why he is trying to convert to a relief pitcher at 35 years old, to find a way to squeeze in a few extra days.
Trev!!!! Die hard mets fan! Thank you for everything, and good luck wherever you go!! Always rooting for you brother!
A friend of mine pitched parts of 4 seasons in MLB in the late 1980s. I know they were fed pretty well back then, and there was also beer taps in the clubhouse, made famous by the comments Goose Gossage made when the Padres removed theirs. The players also got per diem, and my buddy pretty much pocketed it. There was also a pretty good amount of money besides their pay that came from the players share of licensing and royalties from stuff like baseball cards. So minimum was about $60k, per diem was about $50 a day if I remember right, and the royalties/licensing was another $15-20K. He is also eligible for a little over a 10th of a retirement share, and it's starting this year I think. His former roommate in AAA ended up pitching relief for 13 seasons and will get a full pension. Throw left handed and throw strikes.
Great video, i have one of those gold cards, my Dad played for the Twins in the 60's he was roommate with Bert Byleven when bert was called up.
Blyleven didn't play until 1970....
Blyleven was a great player and is in the HOF.
Trevor thanks for the insight…one issue I’ve seen people have in my line of work who travel is having to deal with bed bugs and such…how do you avoid bringing that stuff around with you and cause issues at home etc
A lot of this I would’ve never thought of - great video! Out of curiosity, you mentioned the three meals a day by the organization’s chef; what would be the meal layout for a day game, since lunch would be a bit hard to pull off on these days?
It’s really just the basics usually. A pasta bar, sandwich bar, and deli station/salad bar. Some variation of those things.
I just subscribed to this channel, it’s very informative. Thanks for sharing these perks for being an MLB player
"it's not all about crypto and lambos" haha great advice Trevor
Sick video keep coming with this stuff maybe even some secrets or favorites like cities & stadiums clubhouses etc
This was actually a great video, really interesting. Somehow I hadn’t seen your channel before, but you’ve got a new fan here. Good stuff!
Thank you Duncan, hope I can make some more stuff you enjoy!
Can you make your own version of GQ first million / How do you invest your income and how would you recommend a rookie to invest vs a vet.
“Its not all about crypto and lambos” u have earned my sub
That's an inside look for certain from an actual player who's been around the block. Well done, and with a twist of fun added in to bulletproof points of expertise. Just think if this was done in a matter of fact lawyer dry dead way ? lol Instead he kept it loose.
I didnt realize you could give shares to people like bat boys. That's awesome. Those guys (clubbies in general) don't make a lot and they do the job bc it's a passion bur they weren't good enough to play pro. That's such an awesome thing you can do for someone
Nicely done Trevor! Some cool perks your job has. I gotta beat my employer over the head for the 3% match on the 401k....MLB does it 100% to the max....which in most scales isn't much on average MLB contracts...but like you said, never turn down free money! Gold card pass...of course it doesn't work for the World Series haha.
More of this content please! Inside peeks into MLB life and travel would be awesome to learn about
Another awesome video sir. I did not officially know about 85% of these and it's pretty cool too see what you guys can earn.
I worked at a job where a guy from maintenance played on the Sf Giant, Oakland As& Cleveland Indians.Great people. He did play in a World Series.
Trevor, my man…..my dude…I’d like to see a video about some superstitions you’ve seen around the league. I’m talking individual players, coaches, overall team superstitions, stadium specific things ( think Norte Dame slapin’ the sign, ballpark staff things. I know they’re out there and they should be acknowledged with all due respect. Thanks for content, keep missing barrels, best of luck
On it!
The internet is cool sometimes. Can’t wait
I knew about most of these benefits, but never knew about the "Gold Club" sweet deal. !!!!
Please do sone more vlogs inside the clubhouse this season, always my favorite type of content from Pros
Already in the works!
Super cool video. Thanks for these! Subbed during the last video - quickly becoming my favorite RUclipsr!
Unions, folks. This is the power of unions.
Damn right. For a hundred years the owners lied to the players about revenue and profits and did everything they could think of to avoid
competing financially for players. Then the player's union wised up, hired Marvin Miller, and exercised the power of solidarity to change
their status from being property to being partners. I'll never understand why a worker would choose to not form, support, or join their own
organization with the purpose and power to protect them from injustice and exploitation.
Its also bc they bring in a billion dollars
Thanks Trevor, this was very interesting. Go M's!
THIS IS SO COOL. Wish more industries had a union to get things like this.
I am not a baseball fan. I've only gone to two MLB games in my life. Both at Wrigley Field: one thirty-five years ago on a business trip and just so happen to walk by when a game was about to start and the other time was this year for a friend who is a diehard Cubs fan but could never afford to travel to see a game in person. And I have never watched a full game on TV. Nope, not even the World Series. I do watch a lot of sports videos and a lot of them are about baseball. I especially like the "impossible play", "stealing bases", and "funny plays" videos. Having said all that, this video is great and you seem like a really cool dude who is active in the comment section. I am always interested in learning new things and know little about baseball. Question: What's the best seats to get at a baseball stadium if you want to get as close to the action as possible?
Thirty-five years ago, I sat next to first base. This year my Cubs friend wanted to sit in the bleachers and was going to even bring his baseball glove, but all those seats were sold out so we sat directly four rows behind home plate. As this video is three days old, I doubt Trevor will answer it so anyone else will to pipe in? I plan to take my friend to a Wrigley game this next season. Honestly, I don't see the point of being in the bleachers on the insane off-chance of catching a home run while being baked alive by the sun. Oh, and my friend says if I were to ever catch one hit by the visiting team, I'm to throw it back! What the H?! Is that common at other baseball fields? And what are the chances or way that if I ever did get insanely lucky to actually catch a home-run ball by a Cubs player out there that I could get it autographed by the player that hit it? Do they charge for that and if so, how much? Would he even put down the stats(?) on the ball? Like ... I don't know ... like "Home-run. Third inning against [other team] on [date] in Wrigley Field".
I’d prefer behind home plate, but I love the shape of the pitches myself, so that’s just me. I’d say shade is a must on a sunny day.
I'm soooo gonna miss u on the Mets!! Wishing u the best in Oakland!
Very informative video Trevor good luck for 2023 season!
He has a great voice to be a broadcaster or color commentator when his career is done.
Thank you!
Four years? That's quite a perk! I have to work my job for 25 years to buy into my work-based health insurance.
