Was literally practicing beat juggling all morning and got stuck and randomly went on RUclips and this is the first thing I see ... thank you 🙏🏽 Gnna try it out again after watching this whole video
Great job Rob ! Way to keep the culture alive, your'e a good teacher man. Your Brolic Army Civil War is a testament of how good a job your'e doing with your students. I enjoy all of the content man , thanks for all the work you put in.
Respect to you Rob Swift! Been in the game 15 years and beat juggling always a struggle for me. Look forward to your future videos. The way you break it down makes sense and you speak the truth. You break it down like the art it is. Respect to you bro!
Rob has incredible patience, must train in another discipline as well. Ive tried to teach friends and its hard. You just saved this DJ a good year of trial and error in about 10 minutes. I can wait to see what the next level is going to be like with these tools being available to the masses.
Rob... I never really understood... Why you were so... Impressed... By my (what I would consider) remedial skill. After watching this though, I think I get it. And again, that's not to take away anything from the gentleman that you're teaching in the video... it's just to say that I was not aware of what would have been so impressive about what I was doing at the time. But it would seem that I was doing a lot more than I was aware of at that time. Again, much respect to all, and as always... #THANKYOU
Where were you in ‘85😂😂😂My teachers didn’t have that much patience with us back then hence the reason I had to practice for hours days on end alone until I was ready to showcase. Good stuff Rob👊🏾
You make it look way to easy. I can start improving for about a minute then it just falls apart, and that's with simple juggling. Thanks for the hints n tips as always👍
Rob Swift thanks. The thing is, iv been doing it for about the same length as you,, I used to be in a HipHop group in the uk. I just put my turntables down. But I'm back on it having fun over the last year. My old friends from the HipHop group and your channel got me back on it. So thanks swift. So who won the comp.... I was rooting hard for Tyson...when do announce the winner.
Mark Martinez I’ve seen him use Butter Rugs in some of the New School videos. I myself prefer the Stokyo Skratch mats. The Beat Junkies also make a set called Turntable Helpers. Good luck!
of course that juggling in pocket is crucial concept , but even when juggle is perfect in terms of keeping the right tempo - it is not perfect , because humans cant be precise in 0.001 percent ,even the best drummers will drift away from the mathematical grid without metronome , try keeping same tempo on drum kit only your leg kick drum - i dont think you will ever succeed in being precise enough to not drift away from grid . we talk about fractions of a second . how long one second is ? and yes , thats the main problem of most djs , keeping the right tempo and coming back to its divisions in a right way

You're teaching discipline and focus like a martial artist. Thank you for sharing this with us!
Actually, I model a lot of my philosophy towards DJing after Bruce Lee 🙏🏾

Man, i was honestly proud of dude when he managed to nail the pattern on the Mary J Blige joint.

Keep at it brother. The best, most efficient way, to get good at something is to do it over and over again.

Hey Rob I was wondering what type of slipmats you use? Excellent videos btw
I have some custom made X-Ecutioners slipmats 🙅🏾♂️

Blake Burress okay man I appreciate it
Do any dj know the name of this Track.? It's sound like the perfect beatmatch?
It’s my turn stezo
I literally have to practice my brain to use my left and right hand at the same time to do this... How long did it take for you to do it so easily?
Looks like a camera trick but it's not that's crazy he really is swift

Word!
Spoiler:
EVERYTHING is a pattern
Try using a metronome and see how much you fail......a lot.
best drummers in the world will drift away from mathematical grid that is metronome, unless they have it in headphones .
@@23logaritam there should be some harmonious coherency when you juggle...I hardly hear that..infact it is anoying as hell and only a few master it.
of course that juggling in pocket is crucial concept , but even when juggle is perfect in terms of keeping the right tempo - it is not perfect , because humans cant be precise in 0.001 percent ,even the best drummers will drift away from the mathematical grid without metronome ,
