Ever watched the Thief and the Cobbler? I maybe dead wrong but it might be a reference a to character in the film named fido, a pet vulture to the flick primary villain zig zag.
Agreed. Would love to see a Modder upgrade this army with some special units. Historical types like Janissaries (grenades/Heavy armor type) and Silahdars (honor guard/Sultan specials etc).
@@Granox The Pharaoh period is a bit debated on wether its arab or not because technically it takes place before Arabs expanded to that region. Todays Egyptians are a mix of those ancient egyptians and Arabs when the populations mixed during the in the 600s AD
The Enchanted Books can only be summoned during a battle by the Golden Magus once he finally reaches max level in his "ship" horde mechanic (same as Vampirates) to build his unique horde building. It takes a LOT of gold to get there, but the payout is nice: you get 10 summons as an army ability (infinite range) every battle with a very short cooldown in between, so you can use them to reliably bog down unprotected ranged units.
I've heard that Jaf(f)ar is apparently a stock character from arabian fairy tales, though I'm gonna guess that the scant lore that exsisted for Araby was more inspired by the Disney character.
I feel like there's a need to slightly expand on a couple of regiments of renown: Naffatun (the carpets) swap their bow for naphta containers, they lose range but gain flaming area damage. Very good vs chaff but be careful of friendly fire. The Ganjal Juggernaut has a cannon on its back, use it like you would use a solar engine bastiladon. The Ravager on top of having Burning Alignment also deals crazy damage in melee, I'm talking about deleting the HP of a longbeard unit in a single charge. It's way bigger than a normal elephant so be careful of ranged, but don't forget to send him into melee to utilize him fully.
So far, looks like their biggest weakness is their anti-large. Spears and nomads are non-AP, and their while jezzails and cannons are good against monsters, they'll get chewed up by cavalry. ...which explains why Brettonia was able to get a foothold in Araby, come to think of it.
Best way I found to deal with Cav is bogg them down with slaves and other low tier blobs and have your Jezzails snipe them the cav should be tall enough where you Jazzails wont be obscured and if some of them get shot eh they are just slaves.
Really nice that you cover these race mods. I wished you could add these factions into your top videos as well. Some of these race mods are almost DLC faction quality

The Palace Guards look so cool with their thick plate armor and massive halberds.
