I am a supplier, now that I have learned to navigate through FPDS I need advice on getting the most out of it. What is the best way to find contact info for buyers when it is not provided on FPDS? For example the coast guard buys a ton of my product, how can I zoom in and market myself to the right people?
Hi Sandra. Two fast ways to find this info are: 1. Do a search in beta.sam.gov for coast guard and your NAICS or PSC codes. You will find current opportunities, BUT...scroll to the bottom of those and you will see the CO contact information. 2. Google it. "Coast guard contracting officer" or add keywords like "San Diego" or "Linkedin" to your search. You will come up with a ton of results.

so is fpds not for opportunities?
No. FPDS just shows awarded contracts. You have to go to SAM.gov for opportunities.
