it is absolutely not my type of music and i got to this clip randomly. but as soon as the singer started i was totally impressed. i believe there are only few singers that can touch your soul immediately. he is one of them.

This is simply excellent. I was impressed how the lead vocal sounds EXACTLY like the lead from the album/extended cut.
The best amateur recording of that song I've ever heard. Really, very very good. I do agree that solo trumpet and saxophone could have pushed the boundaries a bit more, but otherwise everything was spot on. Brilliant rhythm section, excellent solo guitar/vocalist - just WOW. Thank you so much!

Ich hoffe, dass Chuck Mangione das Video auch kennt - bin mir sicher, dass es ihm gefällt. Regularly every few months, and have been for years, I watch this video. For me the best interpretation of Children Of Sanchez. I hope Chuck Mangione knows the video too - I'm sure he likes it. You guys are a fantastic band and Jimmy Cempron is the icing on the cake of a wonderful performance!

@@QuincyJuanLopez Sorry dude. That was SIX YEARS ago. I have no recollection of even posting this, much less who did the video I linked to. If you look up "Chuck Mangione Live at the Hollywood Bowl" those two versions are more like we did it in Stage Band when I was in high school. Much freer and uptempo from the original album version.
