Also, for arks badges, it is ship based, so that you can do bronze for all 4 ships for 80 badges in a very chilled manner, instead of grinding for gold (40 badges) for a single ship.

Hello and great point! There's important additional context here anyone reading this should be advised on however. This is that the Arks Badge Shop is Account-Bound. Meaning that you can indeed stack up badges, but it will not change what you can purchase. You can still only purchase the same amount of SG or Camos, etc, from the Arks Badge shop per week.
Arks Records can be done on every ship.
The Shop itself is Account-Bound. You will not gain more SG by doing this method.
You can indeed however opt to do this & try to stack up on Arks Badges.

Yes good point. I always buy SGs from other ships, so that when I need to buy a camo, I won't need to think twice on my SGs.@@Spikesxu

how active is that ship? also what ship would you recommend for a new or returning player to go to?

Ship 1 & 2 have by far the highest populations on Global Side. With Ship 2 likely having the largest. So if looking for the most populated, it would be either 1 or 2. Ship 3 & 4 have lower populations but still a decent handful.

RDR + the free Fixa lv1 100% Chance, is a must. But wait for RDR Events to stack RDR Boosts rather than spending it outside of those Events.
Add On Skill is better when... Lv1 Main/Sub Stat first on all Classes. Then lv15 Main/Sub. Then keep rolling lv1s until you get a Main Stat of 20. Roll lv15 once, after getting lv20 Main... ... ... I do not recommend spending your Master NEX Cube and 1 milllion meseta for lv20 Roll. It's not worth it.
Also, Add On Skills is Account Wide, not Character or Ship wide. As long as you class(es) for each Add On is at max level. All Add On Effects apply regardless of Main/Sub Classes equipped.
Star Gems is interesting. But the majority of SG is from Base PSO2. And right now, it's not too difficult to collect SG in Base PSO2 for new players. Compared to NGS, as most of your major SG gain is from Arks Record Badge Trading and Alliance Badge Trading. Of which the conversation rate is more costly compared to Badge farming by 2x (Arks) to 4x (Alliance) more, for one Character. With the base of at least 20x Ark Bashes and 5x Alliance Badges every Tuesday / Weekly Maintenance.
While Premium players gain 10x SG per day by "Liking" Characters on the Look Book.
Gear and Leveling wise... Only Limit Break and Enhance all weapons/units obtained at the appropriate Level. Until you hit max level.
The Starter Gear (series/units) after the Prologue will carry you to lv30. Then pick up a lv27+ Weapon & Units until you reach lv40. From there, spam Retem Alnoth or the Stia Yellow Trigger until you hit lv70 to lv75. From there, only spam Stia Yellow until lv80 or go into Rank 5 Battle Zones.
Multiweapon, Augments, and Weapon Potentials don't matter until max level. However, it's best to learn how those systems work.
This is much easier to do compared to Base PSO2. As things like Mag Feeding and Dark Falz Forms, can complicate progression into the end game. Especially now, where Base PSO2 is mostly a Single Player RPG experience.

To add further clarification & context for anyone reading this, so they they do not get confused & potentially misuse resources/time~
N-Master Cubes take the main add-on stat of choice and two of the random sub stats to 20 immediately. N-Master Cube's sole purpose is to do this. There are many N-Master Cubes in the game, so this is something to work towards. I have collected 23 N-Master Cubes total as of this post. Once a add-on stat is 20, you can lock the main stat in at 20. Then you can easily do a Level 4 Roll which will give you guaranteed level 15 or higher sub stats, until you get the substats you want. It's not worth it to try to roll a 20 anymore. Trying to roll a 20 in the past would normally cost you on average 20-30 Million. That figure is still around there. N Master Cubes guarantee this at 1 Million Flat Rate. Addon skills add a HUGE boost to your damage, efficiency and survivability.
Addon stats are indeed account bound & will carry across ships. There was nothing in this video that suggested differently. Also, addon-skills work across the board regardless of level. One does not need to have "max classes" in order for them to be applicable.
SG can be obtained from base. However, we are playing PSO2 NGS. As such, we focus on methods for PSO2 NGS methods. Base is an entirely different game, and if a player wants to take the extra space on their storage drive & spend the extra time, then they may accumulate the SG on Base. However, as I said, this is PSO2 NGS. Not PSO2 Base. If searching for PSO2 Base guides or recommendations, those are out there. As, they are not relevant to those who are here for PSO2 NGS. Not the outdated Base game. Do not feel any need whatsoever to download base PSO2, as it is completely unnecessary to play & enjoy PSO2 NGS.
In terms of leveling. Focus on the Main Story. The Main story will virtually get you to max level. They have removed restrictions on Main Quests as well, making this easy. Take advantage of the free Efstitant & Argenti weapons you'll get for free for every class at 65.
