Thank you, lads: now I FINALLY understand the reason why you should take a staggered stance sometimes. It always sounded (and felt, in practice) a bit counterintuitive and all it would do was throw me off balance easier in choppy conditions; but now I can see why. I will try it these days and see if it will help me paddle in a straight line without having to change sides too much.
Thanks for the tips. Wondering if you can show how you switch your feet when you switch sides of the board you are paddling on while paddling in a straight line for a long distance. Is it a sort of hop switch of your feet? Or a step switch? I've experienced the issues you describe by having my feet parallel on the board. Want to work on the staggered stance. Thanks.
Could be true, if you're using a shorter paddle you'll have to lean forward more which puts more strain on your back. That's why I'm not that sure that this is a good way to race, you could shorten it slightly for sprints I guess but I wouldn't do it as much as connor does he literally has it the same height as he is but while on the paddleboard you're even when on a dugout standing a bit above the water and you'll have to bend way too much if you have a paddle that short. That way you're just destroying your back I definitely wouldn't change it that dramatically. If you wanna have a higher cadency than maybe let's say you're 183cm tall and your paddle height is 196cm so for sprints you could go for like 192-193 but don't go like 185 or something.
Thanks. It would be great to see a video on paddle techniques for sup surfing.
Thanks Connor. Pacific Paddle Games 2018 was the most exciting victory I. The history of SUP

I heard rumors that connor is having back problems because of his technique. Is there any truth to this?
