Sphinx Switzerland went under. Kriss Arms in America was their distributor and there were some problems and Kriss tried to handle them but their Swiss Partner Sphinx Switzerland were underwater. You’re correct, the original Sphinx Swiss company turns into Phoenix Arms. B&T ended buying a bunch of the guns and parts and machinery so we got the USW and MkII. I own 4 Sphinx SDP’s and 3 B&T’s including this B&T MkII.
@@Catgat37 I’ve owned quite a few Sphinx’s and the B&T is as nice or nicer. Mine has been top notch. I do like the ability to mount a red dot on a Sphinx design with B&T workmanship. It’s a great pistol out of the box.
The B&T is a great option with AMERICAN support if something goes wrong, Sphinx has no American presence. B&t will be releasing another handgun soon I suggest waiting
@@qrcmedia I became a hardcore CZ P07 fan recently. I have owned over 50 handguns in my life and have shot several others. The P07 was the only one that I liked it so much after 500 rounds in one range day, that I bought another one 2 days later. The similarities is literally the only reason that I want the MK ii. Local shop has one, and it feels like a Gucci P07 in my hand. Can get one on gunbroker for a little under $1100 after shipping, tax, and transfer fee....I think that is worth the price.
Great review, you didn't hit on the one thing I thought you would. The front sight. Its barely there and hard to pick up when shooting. I picked up a MK2 last week, I haven't shot it but I am a huge CZ can I have lots of them and this gun spoke to me. I think all your points are valid especially the one about this being 17 rounds. While I love the fact that it gives me more real estate in the grip its gonna print no question. The aftermarket for this gun is almost completely non existent. I am not a fan of the hook trigger on this gun at all but I'm trying to get around it.
Safety feel can greatly be improved by taking a super small punch and working in the detent slots in the frame ... they machine them a little shallow ...

Your opinions on the MK 2?
