At the time of this video, I’ve had this cooler for about two months. I’ve used it multiple times on the boat and in the car for groceries. The most unique thing about this cooler is the fact that it is entirely aluminum both inside and out. Aluminum does not hold heat like plastic. It gets very hot or very cold very quickly with minimal energy from the temperature source. This causes the cooler to get very cold very quickly without depleting the ice. In fact, it can become cold just from the cold food that you put in it on a grocery run. So for that situation, it is functional without any ice. However, when using the ice provided the interior walls of the cooler get cold immediately and stay cold. you’ll see in this video after six hours of use in the hot Florida sun. It still has ice crystals inside and is very cold. in the same scenario, the yeti cooler would be cold, but not this cold and the ice would be liquid as opposed to still solid as you’ll see in this video. I’d say for some people the only drawback would be it’ll debt. For me, I think it adds character and I look forward to the bumps and bruises. I love and baby mine 😂 got it during the launch and it still looks purdy. I mostly use it for beer…36 cans of beer. But also shopping and farmers market stuff, very nice lightweight package for keeping perishables cold for the day. Loved the review! Keep em coming.

Looking to get one. Curious if it'll dent if a kid or adult sits on it. Thoughts?

Absolutely not. I weigh 220 and I can use it as a stepstool. Because of the rubber feet it is very sturdy. it doesn’t crush or sink it does ding and dent with smaller, concentrated blows if that makes any sense

Does it really need the ice packs? I wonder if it is ok to use any other ice packs

Does it keep cold for at least 2 days?

Yes, definitely. I would say three days in the garage still cold.

The math says a Yeti Large and medium fit but I see in the Video they don't, because the radius of the corners, of the Ice and cooler are different. Have you discovered some combination, of Yeti Ice sizes and thicknesses, that best fit together most efficiently?

This is a great video idea. What fits perfectly is the four pound and two one pound blocks. One of the one pound blocks has to be put on its side. I’ll make a video. Thanks for the idea. With the thickness of yeti ice it’ll keep it cold significantly longer.

@@bobbygfl Did you weigh the Oyster Ice, for reference, or try any combination of Yeti Thin Ice sizes, with or without their regular ice? I'm look forward to your next, cooler/ice, review.

I want to buy it but I think it's really expensive for a cooler.

I agree, but if you’re in the market for a yeti in many ways, this performs better.
