I think that seeing the hand from the perspective of the villain is one of the BEST ways to improve your game. EDIT: I did think that JJ or QQ would play as was played.
to answer you question from the point of view of someone who only has played in home type games and actually haven't even done that since before covid i always struggle to keep up and usually end up lost like with this hand, it wasn't until i reset and paused the video back to 19:40 that i realized he had a straight, the first time the video ended my head was telling me the 10's won which was completely opposite i was sensing from you so i was lost like usual until i figured it out......lol
It's all fun until you get a call where you say something like "I just can't fathom what villain is doing here...nothing he's doing is making sense. He's doesn't know what he's betting or why, so he could have any two cards."
Cool little change up to this video, probably only need this “twist” very rarely. However a big bonus is doing a hand this way guarantees we see both hands at showdown so I, for one, approve!!
I like the way he played this hand , i may have bet a little smaller on the river but well done , so hard to find a bluff when you're in the ladys spot think you just gotta fold but it is a set !
I wonder did the lady with set, while river tanking, voice her opinions on callers hand? I wonder what she hoped to see? Diamonds I guess. Would have been nice if caller had shared that info. Side note: I think when a V shoves a straight when the BDflush gets there, this can increase the belief that youre being bluffed.
I'm going small on turn. If he continues then check river. But in villains seat I'm jumping on this 1 liner when you show weakness.. That's just me.. haven't heard end of call yet.
Seems like an easy fold. Only expected bluffing combos are ATdd and KTdd and there are many more value combos. Unless the person is a complete spazz of course
Can’t ever be 99 or 88 that slow plays because of the straight and then goes for value when check to vs AA and KK? Granted would be some thin value. Even so seems like a fold. That’s 6 combos you beat + no bluffs vs like 30 Js if Btn defends AJo
Pausing before the reveal. The only bluffs here should be a missed diamond draw. AK that didn't want to 4 bet pre or A10, AQ diamond. Can't find any other hands that would get to the river not complete and still jam.
@user-kl6bv8qi7f I mostly agree but some good player will flat here occasionally just for balance. But I fold here almost always because it's very few combos of anything that arrives to the river that doesn't have a set crushed.
If I had the set of 10's, it would have killed me but I would have folded. I mean what are you beating other than a stone cold bluff, like diamonds that did not get there without a jack
I don’t think it makes sense for someone to bet 8x pot. You could lose value if you have the nuts and are only getting called by better if you’re bluffing (if the have the balls to call). No way I fold in Heroes position with the 3 rd nuts just not believing KK and K/10 I think doesn’t play this way not to mention they need the case 10. You can accomplish the same thing with a 2.5x without risking your entire stack. I’ve never seen more than a 3.5x pot shove in live poker on the river so this is rare as Bart mentioned.
Played weirdest hand nobody could figure out what to do with today. Utg 15 co flat im in BB with black JJ and go 70. Utg fold. Co flat. Double flat from co. Flop Qd 9h 8c. I got 85. He calls. Turn 4s. I X. He goes 140. I call. River Ad. I check. He jams 505. Wtf?
It was obvious he had a jack. That board was horrible for a set n consider folding the turn. Literally only reason to call is to boat up but if i didnt boat up i would instafold river.
AJ spades is what he had.... or Ace of spades Jack any suite is a good shove as well. TT on that flop... that pot... I just go all in. Don't want to get out drawn. Want all the money in while I am likely best and am drawing at a new nut hand.
This strikes me as snarky, smug, and unhelpful. We want more women in poker? Have a smug young guy called in to humiliate her. We want older players, some of whom may be weaker? Litter comments to a RUclips video referring to an “old lady.“ Want more recreational players? Keep right on with the superiority attitude. These videos are extremely widely watched, and Bart has been able to change Encore policy basically at the drop of a hat. Bravo, but there are hundreds if not thousands of watchers who are 60+, many of whom are prepared to vote with their feet if they feel unwelcomed by the game.
What do you think about these hand reviews where the caller gets tricky and flips the perspective?
I think that seeing the hand from the perspective of the villain is one of the BEST ways to improve your game. EDIT: I did think that JJ or QQ would play as was played.
I still hope to play a big hand against you one day Bart and to call it in.
Whatever gets me the final reveal is enough for me to be content.

“I was actually the villain in that hand”🤓🤓🤓 -MIT nerd
This dude said he's not a nerd lol.
Dude is definitely a nerd, he even has a lisp😂
I guess Bart edited it out but there was a point where the caller began speaking in binary.
You can hear him reaching for his inhaler every few minutes. Can also hear him pushing his glasses up as he prepares to speak.
Haha, maybe it was bc the “hero” in this story wasn’t the nerd but an older lady.
👀😢😩🤪
Cool little change up to this video, probably only need this “twist” very rarely. However a big bonus is doing a hand this way guarantees we see both hands at showdown so I, for one, approve!!
The stereo mix at the beginning with Bart on the left and caller on the right was super annoying in headphones. Glad it went away after a few seconds.
I like the way he played this hand , i may have bet a little smaller on the river but well done , so hard to find a bluff when you're in the ladys spot think you just gotta fold but it is a set !
Literally only a bluff catcher on the river. Think is villain really doing this with lower set 2 pair or lower? Doubt it.
@@webguy943 maybe, it depends on V of course.
A set is probably a value beater against some people.
The guy with the lisp isn't a nerd.
Literally my exact thoughts
Bro def sounds like a nerd 😂
No, I don't think so.
I would definitely play up the nerd part if I got called a nerd though.
Bart knows caller is a huge nerd that's why he laughed and looked at the camera
Very nice of this guy to call in for that woman to find out if she played her hand correctly.
Question...does he call a jam if the board pairs?
I love these videos❤
I saw a woman in the thumbnail of this video, so I was waiting for caller to say “my pronouns are she/her.” 😂
I wonder did the lady with set, while river tanking, voice her opinions on callers hand? I wonder what she hoped to see? Diamonds I guess. Would have been nice if caller had shared that info.

Killer thumbnail
To think of it. Honor the name MIT-Nerd from Bart. You'll get more recognition 😊

This strikes me as a call where you call because you can think of a bluff as opposed to because you think they have ENOUGH bluffs.
Great review !
These thumbnails Bart lolol
You really called Iron Mike a nerd…
Why is the video sped up in some areas? Very weird

AQdd, A7dd, A5dd, A4dd, KQdd. Possibly though less likely some other Tx.
Underbluffed spot?
From the title I thought the hero saw the villain's cards through the reflection from villain's eyes (or glasses)....
NOT a nerd alert! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
too me whether I call or fold this hand is very player dependent.

I knew after the other cornball did this stupid twist that more callers would do this.
Pausing before the reveal.
The only bluffs here should be a missed diamond draw. AK that didn't want to 4 bet pre or A10, AQ diamond. Can't find any other hands that would get to the river not complete and still jam.
If he’s soft enough to not pop Ak suited pre then he doesn’t have the balls to bluff jam the river
@user-kl6bv8qi7f I mostly agree but some good player will flat here occasionally just for balance. But I fold here almost always because it's very few combos of anything that arrives to the river that doesn't have a set crushed.
@@DavidAlba-u4qnot true. If u plan to bluff its best to jam the river.
My guess is AJ off suit.

it's a bluff. He wanted you out of hand. He missed everything. KT/KJ/small pair. You should not slow down on turn.
I don't understand the turn bet size. I think it needs to be considerably bigger.

Why is he asking about QQ? That hand's beating you! Lol
