- I have not ridden Queen👑Uniek for 4 months. I was in a coma because of an accident. And Uniek went to the vet for a while. But finally I could ride her again. The video is from October 1, 2022, a while ago... but I loved it so much! That's why I wanted to share it with you!

It's great to see you back to riding Uniek. As someone who doesn't know much about horses, I find it strange that Uniek doesn't have any affection for Rising Star. I would think they would at least interact with each other differently because they are mom and adopted son.
If out in pasture together, it is possible they'd groom eachother (unless Risey begins to act like a stallion). Since Friesians are a calm breed, it is rare to see them trot or canter around in joy or excitement together.
Mares don't usually pay atencion to their children when they become one year old, maybe two. In this way, horses become independent and don't relay on their mother anymore.
When horses are wild young colts are driven out of the herd. Once weaned yearlings are treated as the bottom of the hierarchy, they can get themselves beat up quite a bit.
This is partly nature’s way of getting the mares ready to breed again, to wean off the yearlings so the mares can pay full attention to the next foal. Horses are very different from humans that way.
Horses are very much of the "Kick you out of the house when you graduate" school of parenting.
Great to see you and Queen Uniek together again doing what you love doing! What a beautiful lady! Also loved seeing how big our newest foals have gotten--wow they are growing up fast! Can't believe that Risey, Pieter, and RJ were that size just last year.

I am having such a hard time with my neurological disease complicated by Long Covid. Yvonne you inspire me and I wish to give all the horses pets and kisses. Thank you. I still pray for your complete recovery and you will achieve it.
The new MOD leather halters are beautiful! The black with the stitching is lovely on Uniek and the brown is perfect for Risey, one he grows into it. You looked great up on Uniek and it will keep coming along with your healing. The wrapped hay bales in the white wrap looked like giant marshmallows!

Never have I seen two beings happier to be together again like this, until now. The energy between you and Queen Uniek is unmistakable. I actually have tears seeing you two together. They way Uniek turned her head as you leaned in to hug on her was, and always be a majestic thing. You may have had a little pain afterwards, but this is also so therapeutic for you. Soon you will have no more pain in any way, shape, or form. Happy New Year to you, your family, and your wonderful heard of horses.

If they are just waiting for friends there? Some videos show Waloubet with others.
Walou is of a private owner who has stepped away from the camera, and her horses won't be shown much too. I have seen Walou in the herd with mares and foals, so they do not keep her away from the other horses as far as I know.

I can't believe how much Risey has grown! Watched him turn from a foal just born to a proper young horse. The new halter is stunning on the queen! I love the birds chirping and how bright your stable is. And it's so good to see you back in the saddle! You have recovered so well and I'm so happy to see it. Thinking about when we didn't know whether you would wake up again and now seeing you back on a horse brings me to tears.

How far you have come since this video was made. I hope the pain is getting less and the good days are getting more. I think it is very funny that Risey seems to always have his head out of the stall, eating or looking around, while the other 2 boys are sometimes at the back. He knows he's a "Star!"

Can you tell us anything about the Stal's future plans for Gertje? Will she be inseminated for foaling soon? Also, who is next for the inspection and when? Are the M's next? Anything out of the ordinary to report about the current crop of foals? Are they all healthy? Would love any update you might have. I know you're making progress, Yvonne, even if it might be slower than you would like. I think two were really happy there. Yvonne that she was able to ride the Queen 👑 again (and also longer than the last time on Reintje) and Uniek that she was able to show some old dressage exercises again. Thanks also to the MODs for the two halters. 👍
