Anyone not watching Outlander this season is missing some of the most brilliant acting you will ever find on television. Again, the four leads are just killing it … Caitriona and Sam chemistry still in full effect after all these years . Their penultimate scene in this episode will live in my memory for a very long time. Heartbreaking!
This episode should have been the last episode for last season. That explosion in the end would be an amazing cliffhanger... at least for the people who haven't read the books.
I think it was supposed to be the last episode.
@@tkisoutlandish5567 yes, you're right.
I think with only one season left, it'd be a bit difficult to put everything they want in, but yes it would be a good last episode
It would have been, but I think COVID and caits pregnancy effected that
and we finally would've moved past the Christie story line!!!
It is gutting that Jamie can’t be there to see his grand baby grow up having missed his children’s childhoods. And losing his daughter once again.
At least he was there for the birth, he missed everyone else's, but he was there for Mandy's.
In book 4 James and Claire were both there for the birth of Jem. They both helped Bree through the birth and to delivery. They chose not to add that in the show making Jamie and Claire return to Jocasta's 2-4 months after Jem was born. Where as Roger was late returning by a month. At least Jamie got to see the first 6 years of Jem's life and be there as a father and grandfather. To experience what it is like to be both because he so quickly loses it all. Also, let's not forget Jamie was there on the premises when William was born both in the book and on the show. How else was he to have saved his own son from being killed when Geneva's husband tried to kill him from realizing that William was not his true son? @@witabit15
This was one of my favorite episodes. The acting was absolutely amazing. I think I cried almost the whole episode.
Great episode! These episodes so far have been so jam-packed, it’s been an emotional roller-coaster!
I love Richard Rankin’s accent.
Amazing episode and brilliant acting on the part of all the actors. This is a packed season and written with perfect impact. Much more to come for all the characters.
The acting is perfect. They are great all of them. 😅
I assumed that this was the reason for Bree and Roger's attempt to go back in season 5, even though that wasn't in the books. The books made it more clear that time travel is not simple. It's dangerous. People have died in the attempt.
I loved the episode and am excited to see both timelines play out. I hope the scenes where Bree starts her job is like the books. Things are going to get strange with 2 kids born to 2 time travelers. That will be fun to watch as well.
Are Bree and Roger really not going to be able to return to Jaimie and Claire?
@@rowanaforrest9792 They will :)
William Ransom ...yum ;-) Great choice for Jamies son!
Absolutely A+ episode! I spent nearly half wiping the tears. Lord John, The family leaving and Claires breakdown😭😭😭
Lord John with those Puppy dog eyes at Jamie lol, Just one kiss would name him faint
**SPOILERS AHEAD** i am thrilled that the Christies are finally out of the picture. great acting, but as characters i just reviled them. this episode was so emotional and quite a lot happens… it’s a nice change of pace from Season 6 (and if COVID + Cait’s pregnancy hadn’t been a factor, these first two episodes would’ve made a great S6 ending, as i found much of that season to be quite slow and almost a bit too psychological for Outlander). i heard someone say they thought Roger and Bree’s storyline this episode was rushed but i disagree. we did the full song & dance of Roger and Bree’s departure in Journeycake (S5) so it made sense to me that they didn’t do it all over again on their second attempt to travel back to their own time. Disney World worked so well as a motif and i burst out laughing when Jamie called Mickey “Michael.”
Love the story of Clair and Jamie Fraser - And bree and rich rakin
How can they name this episode "The Happiest Place on Earth" when all i did was cry from start to finish? 😭
Same !!!
💯💯👌👍💕💖
You know with this season, and only 2 episodes so far……there is so much more to this series!!! Will 16 episodes be enough??? Will season 8 be long enough to cover everything that could happen??? We must all get together to say we want….need more!!! 😃😃😃👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I am in love with this séries
Have you read the books? Yes it’s amazing.
What a way to end a episode! It’s such a cliffhanger!
Thank you for this very informative and BTS video 😊 Love those ❤
Lord John!!!!!!
Tissues, tissues, tissues!!!
So far phenomenal but knowing the history of their adventures on the high seas I ‘m very anxious about the voyage back to Scotland- sea sickness is the minor factor!
When I tell you that I cried the entire way through the first two episodes of this season I am understating my emotional state immensely.
Damn Jamie and Claire can never catch a break
Vivement samedi. LOFE❤❤❤❤
did they really burn the house down or was it a shell they burned?
Amanda Claire Hope MacKenzie ❤
“Amanda comes from the Latin amanda, "loveable, worthy of love".
Honest question: Does this series refuse to cast Americans? Like do they not like them or… Just noticing not one American in the show despite largely being based in America at this point.
It's because in the US we have a law that reduces what the producers can do with the sex scenes, I forgot what exactly. Since this show was created in the UK they don't have the same laws on the actors doing the sex scenes. The producers wanted to bring in American actors but couldn't due to our laws. Unfortunately (for American actors) Canada and Australia don't share American sex scene laws and were able to give the UK actors for this show.
I believe this was the reason.
SAG are the American tv safety lawmakers I believe
And the person who played Geneva Dunsany is American btw.
@@PartlyNativePerosn Oh I see. America lets any old chemicals in our food, no restrictions but we can’t be nude on film! lol nice priorities. I read that she was born in America but grew up in England or something. Didn’t know if this had anything to do with it.
@@jenniferrohlf200 Unfortunately we live in a very censored country
Take out the trash Ian. We have your back.
My brain malfunctioning because no one’s accent is how I would expect it to be 🤣 Sam hardly sounds English let alone Scottish, the guy who plays William sounds American but is Canadian, Sophie is English but sometimes sounds American. Thank God Roger is there for consistency.
And Caitriona is Irish, plays an English woman and sounds Scottish 😂
Nao acho d jeito memhum
I wish Brie/Roger had half as much on screen chemistry as Jamie/Claire. Sadly, they just don't. Anyone else agree?
Yes but could it be that Roger just doesn't want to be back in time? Maybe the whole clue of somehow being a historian but not actually liking being back in time. He left behind his career and his good life.
william is not british? OMG
What is he?
He’s Canadian I think
@@wanderingwithali5138 are you talking the character or the actor?
The character is British. The actor is Canadian. If you like Outlander the tv series you’d know that
Unpopular opinion: I'm glad Bri and Roger left, It was better with just Clair and Jamie
Thankfully i’m 100% sure they will still show Bree and Rog a lot. In the future.
Yes! I agree. I would love to see more from Fergus and Marsali.
Just give them a chance to check the timeline for changes and report back.
I actually like book Roger as a man better than book Jamie. TV series Roger is different from the books and that's ok because it is an adaptation. Young Ian is my absolute favorite book or TV character so I am so happy to see the changes in store for him this season.
I'm not happy with this season so far. The acting is fantastic but the Roger-Bree goodbye was just like the last time and went on forever. The dejected and fragile Jamie is also a disturbing trajectory for his character. I understand they are aging but the intimate scenes feel like I'm peeking in on something pathetic, more so than in any other season. There are no characters left to interject humor, like the merry men from the first two seasons did so well. It has become a straight up "Little House on the Prairie" but with occasional gratuitous violence. I haven't read the last books but I sure hope Jamie and Claire regain some semblance of their early seasons or else I just cannot go on.
Your choice...i don't agree...but goodbye cause I'm in to the end. Little House on the P 2:06 rairie...thats funny...no comparison this way surpasses that show as it does Dr. QUINN ...they can't touch this show.
Caitriona really overacts in this episode.😂
No, she didn't.
@pegapage9603 She absolutely did and it was so horribly bad I had to pause to laugh and look up if anyone else felt the same. Found a bunch of people on reddit that did. The actors have been checking out of this show in these later seasons.🤣
