So glad you are back to day-in-the-life vlogs! Strange the Dreamer is a very interesting and different book. It is one that stuck with me. It was awesome meeting you last month. Looking forward to you NaNoWriMo progress! I am going be editing Everside and writing the first draft of my Demon Steampunk book. hey kristen i have been a huge fan of you and now i am being very productive writer as this preptober ansd some days of this nov. i had listen your podcast and it helps me a lot being productive. i only want to thank you for that😀
I loved this video. Definitely some awesome tips I am going to use during NaNoWriMo. This is my first year doing this and I am so excited! Every time I think about November 1st I get this nervous excited feeling and I am just so pumped. I have most of my story plotted out but am totally ok with it taking different directions while I write. One downside I think for me is that my office space is really LACKING. I have a desk, an uncomfortable chair and a laptop. That’s about it. I am slowly decorating and making it my dream space. So I have to do some serious creative thinking about how to make my space as awesome as it can be without really spending any money. Money is tight and so I will have to get creative ☺️
I will have to try some of this stuff! Especially the self care part, I have a terrible habit of staying up too late writing.

Hello Kristen Martin, thank you for your videos. I'm a new writer based in Japan (also a full-time teacher). Oh, you were in Tokyo recently! I wish we could meet. I have written my first book with no sales yet. I feel so frustrated about that. How can I best market my book?
Wow. Just wow. Thanks so much!! I decided to go for a run before starting my writing day and decided to change it up and look for help on organizing a huge life-or-death writing project I stalled out on. I watched this on my run. I get so many ideas so fast I just cannot deal. I don’t know where to begin. Anyway, I found this video first thing and I am wearing a grey and black running outfit and a headband placed like yours. 😂👍🏻
So I write Science Fiction, children’s books, nonfictional science writing. I also wanted to write a romance. Anyway I need help. You are so productive I need some of what you do in my life 🙄 I was thinking about hiring someone to help me or advise me to finish some big projects maybe.

Are you going to any NaNo meetups during November? I've been watching a ton of your videos and was wondering if you meet up with others for writing sessions. I've been trying to add some to my calendar and I've heard that they can be super helpful. What are your thoughts?
Tiffani -- I have attended NaNoWriMo meetups in my local area and they can be extremely helpful! It provides an opportunity to get out of your house, meet other people, relate with like-minded individuals, bounce ideas, get inspired, and LAUGH. These are things we all need!
Having said that, there are a few teeny tiny drawbacks. Lots of people means lots of noise and lots of distractions. You may not be able to concentrate as easily. You may not like the games or the competions. But I said these were teeny tiny issues because you can always bring your ear buds to block things out. Most of the participants do!!! Including ME!!!
Also, there are typically snacks, drinks, and STICKERS. So I mean, worth it.
I try to hit at least three write-ins every year: the Kick-off Party on Day 1; the Midway Party halfway thru the month; and the TGIO Party at the end. Those are the biggest and best, but also the most boisterous. Hope that helps... Good luck!

GRADITUDE for sharing all of this. As someone coming from the Swimming community you should know the effort is made each practice, each race, each foundation clinic & each lesson to fight the atrophy of your Swimming toolbox. Please do not make time to worry about how long it takes to correspond with you audience. You are fortunate to live in abundance. I would hope the deluge serves as those tears lifted Alice to the next chapter in her adventure. It is possible the retort you send today will multiply in efficacy because of all that has developed for you in the last 12 months. I'm sure Bruce Lee has considered this somewhere in his teachings.
