Nice try, but it does not fly like the real thing. The power to weight ratio is off. This scale model is more powerful by comparison. The real thing has more mass with less power. The lateral moments and acceleration are faster in the model than the real helicopter. However, with some practice, you should be able to mimic the real one's flying characteristics. This is how the real thing looks in flight. www.google.com/search?q=youtube+hind+24+flying&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS961US961&oq=youtube+hind+24+flying&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIGCAEQRRhAMgYIAhBFGEDSAQoxMDIyNmowajE1qAIAsAIA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:68be0504,vid:ZLSbvCQl-jc,st:0
Beautiful model, outstanding pilot, and good videographer. Agree your comment about the absence of "racket" -- except for the "Keep it on that side of the runway ... . " admonishment.
That bird has some serious power. Saw Mathias demonstrate his Hind in the Netherlands once, several years ago. Phenomenal! The ultimate rc.helicopter for me. Until someone comes up with a twin moki powered Ka26 that is 😄. Congrats on owning this beauty!!!
@@ColonelJohnmatrix1000 No that's what a Hind 24 sounds like bro. I watched one fly rectangles around the airport at Tegucigalpa all day long in 1988. A Nicaraguan pilot had defected in it the day before and the Air Force was flying it around in a big rectangle all day.
A fantastic flight picture! I remember my basic military service from 1985-87, when selected comrades were shown a film in which exactly these Mi-24s could be seen in an attack - but back then the real machines. Now all that was missing was for the pilots to turn their heads towards the camera and salute after landing... ;-)
Thanks for posting! It’s so nice to see such a beautiful helicopter, something that I will never be able to fly (read ‘own’), nay, a machine sitting on the tarmac that I am not worthy of kneeling on. (wow)
That was some superb flying with a well set up machine. The gains were spot on from my perspective! I would LOVE to get my hands on that controller!!!! One day,,,, Maybe? I can barely get my A-109 to fly normally. I had to cut down some Trex DFC150 main blades to get the tail to hold with my 5 bladed head. Don't know what I'm doing wrong. Belt drive didn't hold, so switched out to shaft drive. Tried different combos of head speed/ pitch curves. Ugh!!!! Switched from 3S to 6S. Just feel sooooo heavy!!!!! May switch it to 2 or 4 bladed main rotor? Don't know. Only a 450 size, but my 600 and 800 stretched Trex's do just fine!!!! 2 bladed mains of course. I LOVE the scale stuff better than killing my junk with tick tocks. I like doing them, but in a smooth way instead of bashing the crap out of them needing ceramic bearings and all that.
Because turbines are very very expensive. It's nice that electric options exist. It makes getting into the hobby much less expensive for people of average income.
Hey. I've been watching this footage and it looks super realistic. I think the movie production SFX people could easily make this model and make it look like it's a real chopper on film. So my question is - why haven't they done this in Rambo II and Rambo III. Like I'm not a huge fan of those two movies, but they are kinda 80s classic and one thing that kind of makes me cringe [besides some others] is how they just built a fake Mi 24 Hind out of some weird chopper that ended up not even looking similar to the Hind? Why couldn't they just make a small size model and make a movie with it? I mean they would've had to make like a real size model for the scenes with Rambo in the Chopper for Rambo II, but I'm pretty sure it would still have been cheaper than renting or perhaps even buying a real chopper and converting it into like a fake Hind that looks kinda werid :S
Simply? The tech wasn't there then. No micro turbines, no flight computers/stabilizers, basic RC controls. RC Helis back then were pretty simple, and very difficult to fly scale... especially with the plumes of 2 stroke smoke pouring out of them
That is amazingly realistic, if I saw that in a movie I would’ve never guessed it wasn’t the real deal. 😮
Most movies use RC scale planes or digital ones. Dunkirk all scale RC.
My exact thoughts!
Love it when a "scale" aircraft is flown in a scale manner. Too fast, squirrally, abrupt motion is not cool. This one is awesome.
TOTALLY agree this could easily pass for the full-sized
Agreed
Nice flight! Very scale - all the way up until the nose gear collapse! Oops... 🤥 Always something!... 🙂
Agreed!

It's a piece of art - absolutely beautiful. I would be terrified even trying to fire it up, let alone flying it.
Thank You for letting me watch this beautiful scale fly without a bunch of loud racket blaring over it as in many other RUclips videos.
Beautiful model, outstanding pilot, and good videographer. Agree your comment about the absence of "racket" -- except for the "Keep it on that side of the runway ... . " admonishment.
I’ve never seen a model fly with such authority, excellent.
Flies so incredibly smooth
3:26 That is such a cool shot with the hind coming in for a landing.
Awesome piloting skills there ! 👍
Right up there with the best rc vids I've ever watched, smooth, loud and great flying skill. 👏👏👏👏❤️🇬🇧

That was a very nice scale landing! Good job, guys😃👍🏻
Thank you! 👍
They got the sound right, I got to hear one in Honduras in 1988.
Wrong……that model sounds nothing like one. Flown in one in Poland.

WAS JOYUS TO SEE 👀 THIS VIDEO .
REAL GOOD.
So detailed. Could use that in movies.

Ça c'est du beau pilotage !
He is a great scale pilot
Very nice build and flight
What an absolute beast!! Mind-blowing stuff, mate. Cheers from Patagonia!
Wow, this is a nice one. As long as there's nothing in frame for scale, it could completely pass for the real thing.
Beautiful scale flying and awesome looking n sounding hind.
An awesome model, skillfully flown. Thank you.
Beautiful Mi-24 Nice flight though it looks like at the end the nose landing gear collapsed ! 😉
Beautiful
And good luck with the heli
Super nice! World class scale model there! Nice vid
amazing flay test , great job👌👌👌👌
That is freaking awesome.
What!? No way. This thing is awesome. Also, the Mi-24V in that “flower” Soviet paint job has got to be one of the best looks the Hind has.

Awesome! Congratulations on owning a masterpiece such as this
Loved it; thanks for posting.
Man it even sounds like the real deal. Makes me wanna get into this hobby
Beautiful landing.
Just found this site its great,
dude keep up the great work.😊
Dude if I saw that in some situations and moving slowly/realistically, it would be hard to percieve the scale/distance! What an awesome bird!
absolutely AMAZING!
Amazing RC pilot,!
*Great video!*
Wow! It flies great.
Great scale appearance! This would make a great stand-in for the real thing in a movie.
very nice flown 👍
Damn that is TOO COOL! As a drone pilot it's AWESOME seeing this :)
Lovely! ....and very stable, too!
Wow that is cool. Looks like a real Heli...
What a machine, sounds amazing
That thing could lift a person. Very cool.
Very realistic, even had a front nose gear fail like the real thing! Lol.
A dream of a scale heli !
Have fun....
Thats a fantastic heli. 👍🏻

Post your issue on ScaleHeliPilot.com and the guys there will help you!
Very Cool !!!👍
Wow, so cool 👌
I'm an old-school H-2 Seasprite LAMPS T-53 jet mechanic. This was an absolute thrill. How cool does it get?
Super cool
Incredible
Nose gear collapse during landing. Looks like no harm done.
Yes it was visible blorbing before landing 👍
Okay, that's freaking cool.....
Geiler Hubschrauber! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
What a monster Heli👍👍👍
what a beauty
i wish you could hear the rotor blades chopping thrue the air, that would make it perfect lol
Finally!!! Turbo shaft!!! I can't understand the eletrification tendency to RC models. It's like making love with an inflatable doll.
Because turbines are very very expensive. It's nice that electric options exist. It makes getting into the hobby much less expensive for people of average income.
Very nice Mil-24 flies and looks like a real one! It would have been great to see it in Ukrainian markings.
I agree! The model was made before the stupidity began.
Off the bad ass chart!
AWESOME
"Крокодил" неотличим от настоящего !
Mega!!!
What is the maximum flight time / range for this? - would be great for FPV and Film Making.
👍Perfect
What kit is this, or is it scratch built?
what caused the front gear collapse on landing? any damage?
No damage. Servo ATV was off. More videos on ScaleHeliPilot.com!
I was a little disappointed until the landing gear retracted. Hell yes.
Très belle réalisation ! moins facile qu'un drone à piloter je pense
Was the nose-gear supposed to crumple & fold like that ? 🤔
Wow!
Im curious, what frequency does it use? 2.4ghz?
I live near Chatfield - how can i witness the next one of these?
We will be flying this Saturday!
NICE...!!!🙏🙏👍👍😎😎
Ohffff, what happened at the end there, nose gear collapse or accidental toggle flick ?
Needed a servo ATV adjustment
Why would you remove the spool up? Thats one of the best parts
I have other videos with spool up!
I wanted to see it too
I shall fly it inverted
Did the front nose gear collapse on landing?
I thought the same
my question is: where do you buy the props for that thing?!
The rotor blades (airplanes have propellers) are aluminum and made by only one or two companies.
lmao do excuse, i fly drones not helis@@scalehelipilot
Red Dawn. The old one.
Looks great, Video looks CGI while flying, maybe its the camera.
Wow
looks like the nose gear collapsed at the end?
Unfortunate, but not catastrophic. Good eye
@@mk6315 Great looking model, seems to fly well. Thanks for sharing.
@@xbpbat21x it’s not my aircraft lol, I can barely afford to restore my old Robbe Futura
ATV needed to be adjusted on the nose gear. More videos on ScaleHeliPilot.com
Not sure if it’s the video or what, but the tracking looks off.
круто!
More Russian helicopters on ScaleHeliPilot.com. I have videos of Mi-171 and KA-32!
Put some cameras in VR setup in it. Its big enough. And you will be able to really "fly" your Hind!
gear collapse???
any guess on the cost?
10K Plus
I have issues with Hinds, though I must admit that they look good when bracketed by a SAH firing solution
That's hilarious!!
700 👍

That’s the last thing you want to see when you on the ground looking up
It's got the wrong country decals!
Where ?
Z!!! ALL THE WAYS BOYS!!!
Amazing, but the main rotor turns the wrong way. Russian helicopters turn clockwise...
shit needs a camera and a vr headset
Why? You could use a simple drone for that. The beauty, in my mind, is watching from the outside.
