- Today I'm working on a WG K4900 with horizontal collapse. I show my troubleshooting method for arcade monitor repair. I test the pots, deflection transistor, and as well as test for cold solder joint. This is the Centipede's monitor.

Hi there. I have a WG K4900.
I swapped the tube out with a donor TV. Image looks awesome but vertical size is too small. vertical pot is maxed out.
I measured the vertical deflection coil on the yoke, and it's at 15ohms. The original tube was something like 30 ohms.
Now I know that it's possible to increase the size of the horizontal image, by increasing the size of one the polypropolene capacitors. But is there a way to increase the size of the vertical image, by changing a component? Or is that impedence just far too low for this chassis?
Sorry!! I missed your question. Yes, you can change the value of the caps to fit the image size you want, BUT, you were correct in thinking they are too far off. Most 19” tubes are compatible with the K4900. You shouldn’t have any problems locating one. (Answering in case it helps anyone reading comments for solutions.)
Your lazy-susan monitor bench is genius!
Thanks!
