My favorite version of Elements. Such raw emotion to the sound. You did a perfect job of raising the violin sound level over the original. My daughter has been learning violin for a couple of years. We began watching your Lindsey Stirling Crystallize video because your videos we can actually watch your hands play. Lindsey's videos mostly show her dance or move, not play violin. Your bow hand is so fluid and graceful with how you bend wrist on your bow strokes. I hope you have a chance to play more in the studio, and look forward to your videos.
Yes, this is definitely an elevation, from the (still-mesmerizing) original! I find it fascinating how both can debut just how the Violin becomes-"one," with their languid bodily movements, but Ms. Malik takes a gorgeously-traditional approach, whilst Lindsey typically puts a New-Age 'spin,' onto her (typically choreographed) music videos, and performances (aside from the Zelda Duet, more-Acoustic numbers- Etc.). A collaboration would be phenomenal...!! ~ Hope that your daughter is still playing / enjoying the Violin, as well! :D
Very nice cover, well done!! As someone who plays piano, violin looks insanely hard to play. That note at 1:40 always sends shivers down my spine when I hear it!

today i suddenly got into violin related music and end up here. i liked the way Lindsey plays but in her songs i don't get the violin amount (may be in the volume) i need but here it's just i feels it more. thanks so much. i really get goosebumps when you violinist get into really touching notes. i'm in the middle of my exams, so i choose this track to loop while studying. thanks again (y)

Hello, I am 40 and learning violin. I already play piano, guitar, trumpet and several other instruments. Violin, however, is proving difficult. Unlike guitar, which has frets like a chromatic grid; violin has no visual reference. How do I overcome this? Furthermore, I have fat, sausage fingers. I find it difficult to play half-steps and reaches with my pinky finger. Considering that I already know scales relatively well, do you have any recommendations or advice?

It depends. In my case it took 2-3 tries before we recorded this video. But that's 22 years of violin practice. My advice: don't give up, don't lose your spirit. Start slow, train the easy stuff first, get some lessons from a professional. And aim for Song of the Caged Bird for starters :-)

If I don't get to record and upload anything my own soon, I'll do more Lindsey. Will put Beyond the Veil on my list :-)
