Elvis died in 77. This song came out in 91. I'm guessing all of the other songs on this site are also a fake Elvis........ Elvis has really left the building....
I know most of the comments here are a bit old, but I just couldn't help myself... As a singer, I can tell you that this guy sounds pretty awesome for not being Elvis! The King of Rock lives through these performers. I love the song and this version. I'm very impressed. Great job whoever this is!!!
RENE S IRAHETA The singer is Doug Church. He did do a good job but I still prefer All That Remains version of this song especially live when they can include the third verse.
When I clicked on this, I didn’t know what to expect. I was VERY pleasantly surprised. I would love to have this rendition of this song in my life more often. Great job! Very well done.
Heath & Becca I agree certain spots he doesn't quite cut it but my when I first heard it begin I thought no way he was dead before this was released! Found out it's someone called Doug Church but done almost a superb job. Long live the King & Garth ;-)
My thoughts exactly. I was confused but delighted at first, because I didn't know WHEN the song was written (only that Garth Brooks preformed it) so my first thought was wow, why didn't I know this was an Elvis song .... and then there was the barest deviance in voice and it hit me that it wasn't actually Elvis LOL He is a very good impersonation though. Not quite the real deal but VERY good.
May not be Elvis, but if it was not for the timing I would have been convinced. I recently saw the 1968 Comeback Special on the Big Screen. I saw it on TV as a young teen but I had goosebumps and tears and smiles watching it. He was one of a kind!
Not really sure why noone has commented but this is pretty damn good. The gentleman sounds like Elvis without overdoing it and its sung well wether an Elvis fan or not. All the Elvis fans are dying off though, lol.
You hit the nail on the proverbial head, dear sir! (I'm guessing it's sir, if not... I'm sorry m'lady! XP) Nevertheless this *was* very well done! But I guess most people don't get these kind of "what if..." covers, high quality or not! I'm afraid you're right about Elvis fans too... Although, as long as there are still a few left, we just might inspire some of them youngsters! "Long live the King!"
+Cody Williams Ehm... not quite... Elvis' nickname was 'The King of Rock & Roll', remember? And bcause he's no longer with us, I referenced the hail: "The King is dead! Long live The King!" This is just about this song and remembering Elvis! No need to bring religion into this conversation.
Mr Dilly says... Now you know.. For sure.. Big E is.. Still Here...With Us.... Because this song came out a lot later than his.. So called... Passing and he nailed It.!! 👍😎❤️🙏
Sam Is a waffle very correct because for one Elvis died before Garth had hair on his chin and so if Elvis is singing how could Garth came up with it. If Garth came up with the song then that would mean Garth was living before Elvis. So yes my friend I agree with you. Not the other know it all scumbag
Yes I Love This Song With My Favorite Singer Elvis Presley The Best Singer In The World If You Ask Me Yes Elvis Presley Is The King Of Music Now And Forever ❤️
Elvis ain’t dead he’s hanging out with the real Paul McCartney on an island somewhere, pheaux Paul is still with us, walrus… trust me these guys ain’t dead..
OMG Such an Elvis fan an obviously a Garth fan just found this! thought no surely Elvis was gone before this came out this is amazing spine tingling wow who is it!!?
This is not Elvis, Garth was just a kid, this song was written by Songwriters: Patrick Alger / Garth Brooks. "The Thunder Rolls" is a song co-written and recorded by American country music artist Garth Brooks. It was released in April 1991 as the fourth and final single from his album No Fences. The song became his sixth number one on the country chart
Yea and if Russia don't quit pushing our buttons were going too come over there to Europe and take Moscow down like we should have done when we were there last time.
It's not Elvis, lol. He died long before this song was written. But the guy impersonating him is doing a pretty good job. I love imagining how Elvis might have sounded!
Ok y'all. I was there, at Hollywood Center Studios. Garth Brooks and Tanya Tucker originally released it together as a single without the third verse. The harmony went sour so they split and Tanya re-released it with the 3rd verse after her album. They have equal rights to the song. At Garth's concert in 2020, he sang it with Tricia Yearwood. They did perform the third verse, although some days he will and some he won't. Bring it, troll lol
Cool video....guy really does sound like Elvis. The original singer of the song is Tanya Tucker. She has a more jazzy version. She actually released the entire song originally. Garth saved the last verse strictly for concert. Hard to find the video or full version though.
Not only that, but Garth Brooks never intended to sing this himself. He pitched it to Tanya Tucker originally. Her management passed on it, so he wound up doing it instead. She did eventually cut a version of it herself, but it didn't surface until well after Brooks' version became iconic.
Who's still listening to this song in 2024 and still thinks this is probably the best cut of the song out there
This proves that Elvis was an amazing talent! Only he could sing a song written almost a decade after his death! #elvisthetimetraveliingalien
Hahaha brilliant isn't he
This song is actually older than when Elvis died.
Elvis died in 77. This song came out in 91. I'm guessing all of the other songs on this site are also a fake Elvis........ Elvis has really left the building....

Whomever is doing this beautiful voice is doing an excellent job. I think Garth would be so proud 💜💜💜
I love this. Fantastic Elvis impersonation set to one of my favourite songs, not to mention you included the third verse. Ace.
I love it. Wish I knew who exactly the impersonator was.

Incredible you can actually picture him on stage preforming this song
When I clicked on this, I didn’t know what to expect. I was VERY pleasantly surprised. I would love to have this rendition of this song in my life more often. Great job! Very well done.

Fuck man I didn't know that it was a cover of an Elvis song, you learn something new every day
They should a whole album like this.
Super cool idea pulled off nicely.
I closed my eyes and could literally see Elvis singing this song. Amazing.
May not be Elvis, but if it was not for the timing I would have been convinced. I recently saw the 1968 Comeback Special on the Big Screen. I saw it on TV as a young teen but I had goosebumps and tears and smiles watching it. He was one of a kind!

+MasterSandman Are you serious? Why are you getting offended over something that was clearly a joke? I swear no one can joke about anything anymore
You and the two people that liked your comment need to get a clue
Both Garth Brooks and Elvis Presley are legends and this song honors them both.
Holy crap this is good!

Ai voice is bringing the dead back to life.
I heard this version sung by garth Brooks. I've been looking for it. Not only did I find it but find it was done by Elvis... cool.
Joe Simonson Really?? Garth wrote it. How could Elvis sing it? 🤦🏻♀️
Elvis didn’t sing this song man. This is an Elvis impersonator singing a cover of a Garth Brooks song.
