Thank you Mason for another fine video sincerely Matt at Pipe Dr Plumbing.... One of the best plumbers that ever plumbed a plum 😂 been watching you for a few years now
Bro this is school for me. Thank you. Im a GC interior renovator and been racking up on mason now that i never did it. But thanks to your skills i can go build y own extension and save money
Great video. I am building 2 columns that's going to be 9ft tall and then put stones on them. I know I will need rebar so my question is once the footing and rebar are set. Do I have to get on a tall ladder go up and down in order to lay the blocks over the rebar? Is there an easier way?
Thank you for this! You’ve answered a ton of questions I didn’t even know I had. Do you have anything on setting the first blocks? How to make sure they are level over the run of say 20 feet?
Clamp seems the easiest. Those 1st two seemed like a total pain in the butt, especially for me being disabled. I do not have use of my right hand except to hold things down. But even if I was fully able, those first ones still seem like a bunch of extra, tiring moves. And the one requiring you to hammer into finished blocks and mud is just plain dumb.😮
That’s what’s up bro I work with my pops and solo nothing like working for yourself! Wish I was a lil closer I’d love to come up there and help you lay some block. I respect your hustle your gonna go far or destroy yourself in the process lol. Jus kidding but us masons are definitely a different breed. You the man!
Thank you! I'm a 60 yo grandma learning so I can improve my housing!

Hi, I'm a retired guy working on my own home in France. This has been very helpful , thanks so much for taking the time to make the video.👍

A mighty fine explanation from "Mason the Mason", to help educate me, "Carpenter, the no Carpenter". Thank you!
hey men you are the best in the world
Nice to see youth in the trade. On those smaller foundations try building smaller, 2 or 3 course leads. Saves a lot of time.
Thanks for sharing your valuable experience and explaining in sufficient details
Really useful 👍 thanks man

What do u like better, block or concrete?
I like it all man
Mate, your videos have been invaluable to me thank you so much.
Question, can you build straight up from the edge of a footer or concrete slab?
Your demonstration of the releasable knot tie, around 2:00 would make a great short.
Thank you for this! You’ve answered a ton of questions I didn’t even know I had. Do you have anything on setting the first blocks? How to make sure they are level over the run of say 20 feet?
yes place cement square on ground place 1st block tap light to seat into cement use level to even straight then line pull across do same across
Top tips 👍
thanks!
You’re welcome!
Thank yoy
That Is Very Easy,
People Wanna Know How
Do You Know If The String Line
Is In Level From One Side To The Other.
Amén.
Entertaining. Come build one for me
How about if someone doesn't have all the professional tools? Smthg helpful, since a pro knows how to already.
Talk about what size the footing needs to be???????
Aqui no Brasil usamos madeira de sarrafo pra segurar a linha com 2 pregos e si ponha 2 linhas fica melhor ainda uma em cima e uma em baixo

I love the freedom have being solo. Wish we could collaborate. I’m sure we could honestly. We’re built different
All me. I am doing just fine
If filling the block with concrete do you need weeping holes
No
But it depends on the job when you have to use weeps
Where can I get those tools at
Line block as well but never seen the clamps
Is there a reason why the block is not centred on foundation
Hello. Most important part and no one mentions it. 😂👍🏼🍕
?
I never see how to do this. The lines always already up. 🦸
Oh I got you hahaha. I thought the same thing. I never showed how to do this before. Hope I helped
@@masonthemason6412 Yes sir! Ur the best! 🦸
Thanks!
Первый ряд без гидроизоляции делают 😮?
One word line block. Much easier.
Can’t always do that
We call them line dogs lol
You dont even need this device, you can do it yourself with a piece of wood and two nails
Are you referring to Dog Bones / Line Bones / Line Dogs? Yes, you can make your own.
It's not a string. It's a mason's line!! Strings are for flying kites!!!
