As an person who played aria of sorrow I confirm that Soma Cruz is weirdly op considering his mastery of souls. He fights like Graham in this fight but way more dangerous. Maybe this soma is the one in the bad ending in aria of sorrow when he drops his glass of wine
Funny, I always thought given Soma’s design that his monstrous form would be something like a giant white wolf, not this generic demon. Just goes to show the lord of darkness is consistent if nothing else.
Raphael Bors Quality Queen I guess that makes sense, especially given what Quality Queen said about having already seen this form before at the start of Symphony of the Night, but I figured it would at least be interesting. Evil can take on more forms than a big red devil, you know!
Raphael Bors I guess when I posted that, I was thinking more “Ultimate form of Soma” than “ultimate form of darkness”; I still think it’s an interesting idea, but I get your point.
Yeah. The backdash animation used here and CVHD is missing a few frames. It's hard to notice unless you compare both animations side by side because Alucard has a shitload of sprites.
I remember seeing an interview (I think it was with Koji Igarashi) and he was saying that he was watching a speedrun of SotN and was asking about the shield-dash technique, and was told that by using the shield to cancel the dash animation early you could use the dash again quicker. When told this he was dissapointed because the animators spent a lot of time working on Alucards running animation and all those sprites were just going unused by the speedrunning community.
Liam Dell I know that they work very hard on SOTN especially alucard’s frames and sprites and all that, but he needs to remember. It’s a speedrun. lmao
Good show. Castlevania characters in SSB sounds fun. I think it could be sufficed to have two characters (Simon, the main character of the linear games, and Alucard, the most popular character of the nonlinear games). After all, they have two from Mother, two (technically three) from Fire Emblem, etc.
And when you thought fighting Dracula couldn't get ANY harder, it just did. No, You can't expect the simple demon beast transformation that shoots three fireballs and jumps. You now have to deal with a demon beast that jumps, shoots out worms when it jumps, shoots a ground based fireball, AND has a harpy familiar that shoots your ass down when you get behind demon Dracula. What will they think of next? :P
This is the original Soma. This is wht happens when he is corrupted by hatred and dark power after witnessing a tragic event, which will remain unspoiled.
Dawn of Sorrow is probably the best sequel to Aria of Sorrow since after you beat the game, you can play this mode or you can play this mode after getting the second bad ending. And this is epic.
Somebody here after fighting Dracula in Dead Cells? Same song, i like Dawn of Sorrow, but Order of Ecclesia ost is in the DLC as well, i'm so happy with those tributes 😁
I really hate this ending (This fight kicks ass Btw) it's pretty much an F* you to the ending of aria of sorrow... I mean come on! Soma survived Dracula's castle, the fights with Graham, Julius Belmont and the Chaos (The f*cking Chaos!) to defy his destiny of being Dracula's reincarnation... and all of that is F*** up by a Doppelganger...
Now lets imagine this fight if soma actually tried and didn't just use the manticore and red minotaur souls like a little pussy. Assuming he had his chaos ring, which would be the only way for him to spam the red minotaur soul that much, he could probably just kill alucard, julius, and yoko in a matter of SECONDS. Probably with the use of things like the biphron soul, petrify dude who I forgot the name of, ripper, heck even shit like the were tiger and jaguar souls would probably fuck up all 3 of them if he got the hits in (I didn't say red minotaur since they clearly made it look like trash in this game, instead of a gigantic axe that swings around the ENTIRE screen and deals like 800 damage, it's just like a fast and damaging version of the buer soul) This fight is just embarrassing to watch if you've ever played aria of sorrow and finished it.
ITAndroMedian In the very beginning of Dawn of Sorrow, he states that he lost the power of dominance after the conflict last year, implying he would not have all of the souls from AoS. I believe you are correct.
would have been nice if they had made 2 different teleporting laughters for soma instead of just one every single time, first it sounded geniusly mad, the second time "ok its a game so repetition of sound files is normal", the 15th time "come on what are you even laughing about when you are getting slaughtered? -.- "
Alucard, the good-hearted semi-vampiric hero vs. Soma, the reincarnation of humanity's worst nightmare. Fate, I suppose. Also the Rondo of Blood final boss theme works.
I remember the fist time I got to this fight. The setup, incredible. You get the epic anime voice (specially if you picked Alucard), and fucking Dances of Illusion in a great rendition starting. Just to get one of the worst Dracula boss fights ever.
Honestly if this was animated, it’d be way more chaotic. Both of them are beyond even the strongest vampires (Soma isn’t a vampire, just has the powers of Dracula), and have the power of Chaos. They’d be warping reality on such a scale, no one would be able to get close
Simon Belmont is in the first Castlevania too ;) Simon Belmont is the original, and therefore, Simon should be the one to be chosen if a character from Castlevania should be chosen. But yeah, Simon's Quest was pretty annoying. Sure, you would manage to beat the game if you threw holy water all over the place, but seriously, you don't want to do that xD
Until Soma becomes the Beast Form, the fight is really easy because Somas Only Attack (The Double Axe Slash) is way too easy to dodge...Which makes Juilus Belmont the Best for the Fight, And it’s still easy in the Second Phase
I wonder who is more powerfull , menace or soma as the dark lord, yhea he is the incarnarion of evil at this point but do not forget the fact that menace is a fusion of the strongest demons.
What I liked doing after backing up from Soma's axe attack was doing Alucard's little teleport thing and get a couple of hits on him. Took down his first form pretty quick.
@SkInHoUnD complete the game with either the bad or good ending then select julius mode and go to the demon guest house at the entrance where you met arikado in soma mode you will then meet alucard and he then joins your party

0:16 I never realised Soma has a Stand.
He can summon few familiars that stay behind him like Giant Skeleton's arm, Corpseweed and few others
Soma actually has one soul that grants him an Ora ora attack
@@kyochan4412 Lmao trueee!
ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA
No,Kasi Sayang, I will Teach How To Speak Tagalog
Soma's stand confirmed for Jojo Part 9
Huh???
Soma can summon a number of different familiars, like bats and a floating sword for example. (Kinda like Alucard in SotN.)
The word “stand” is what had confused me as I had no idea what they were referring to.
I recently finished watching Phantom Blood and Stardust Crusaders so I now know what they’re talking about. (Still think them using the word “stand” is weird and confusing though.)
@@DarkMirria1 what about battle tendency?
You probably also watched it, part 1 and part 2 are one show because of how short they are.
If not, watch it.
I think I did...? I also finished watching Diamond is Umbreakable. Started the one that apparently has Dio’s son, waiting for it to update. (If there’s going to be more. The rest was only in Japanese so I watched it with subs. I needed to know what happens.)
Stand master:Soma Cruz
Stand name:[The World]
As an person who played aria of sorrow I confirm that Soma Cruz is weirdly op considering his mastery of souls.
Plus this is dracula final form in the beginning of sotn when you fight him with richter and it makes sense because this is the sequel to sotn.
@@qualityqueen1553 2 years later im here to tell you dawn of sorrow/aria of sorrow arent sequels to sotn
Did every different reincarnation of Dracula have a different form?
Why didn't Castlevania HD use this sprite version of Alucard instead of the one from SOTN?
Isn't this the same sprite from SoTN, aside from the backdash animation?
+RZBionicle You sure the backdash animation isn't the same as the Sotn one?
Impressive foreshadowing
Well, we got Simon and Richter as playable characters in Smash Ultimate, Alucard became an assist trophy.
@@YellowSun765ZAlucard definitely deserved a spot
This would end a lot faster with a shield rod
His laugh is so disturbing that I never can tell if he's in pain or enjoying it
I farmed up all those nice things like the Crissaegrim for Alucard, and he's still using that heirloom.
It has sentimental value.
Notice the red "carpet" ? It's not a carpet,it's spilled wine.
Or... Celia's blood.
0:24 that laught... i love
Yo, is the guy in the portrait Mathias Cronqvist? AKA Dracula's original human form?
Alucard just sounds like Zero
Gogeta_SSJ4_(Super Saiyan 4)_YT he does indeed
Hu ha hu!
Zero KOF or Zero MM
Alucard: SOMA!!!
(Throw his Glass)
Soma: Kurugaii... ARUKADO!!!
I was looking for what he says before ARUCADO!
mega man X meets castlevania sotn.
This is the original Soma. This is wht happens when he is corrupted by hatred and dark power after witnessing a tragic event, which will remain unspoiled.
Just because he's Dracula doesn't mean he can have unlimited mana
Actually, since he'd be connected to Chaos then, he would have. Remember the Chaos ring regenerating your powers extremely quickly?
Dawn of Sorrow is probably the best sequel to Aria of Sorrow since after you beat the game, you can play this mode or you can play this mode after getting the second bad ending. And this is epic.
Hoping a Castlevania DS collection gets released that includes DoS
Somebody here after fighting Dracula in Dead Cells? Same song, i like Dawn of Sorrow, but Order of Ecclesia ost is in the DLC as well, i'm so happy with those tributes 😁
I really hate this ending (This fight kicks ass Btw) it's pretty much an F* you to the ending of aria of sorrow... I mean come on! Soma survived Dracula's castle, the fights with Graham, Julius Belmont and the Chaos (The f*cking Chaos!) to defy his destiny of being Dracula's reincarnation... and all of that is F*** up by a Doppelganger...
fusiontoa18 and edgy japanese
1:12 Why does it bug me that he didn't land that one attack in there?
Maybe i got too caught in his rythm xD
Now lets imagine this fight if soma actually tried and didn't just use the manticore and red minotaur souls like a little pussy.
Assuming he had his chaos ring, which would be the only way for him to spam the red minotaur soul that much, he could probably just kill alucard, julius, and yoko in a matter of SECONDS. Probably with the use of things like the biphron soul, petrify dude who I forgot the name of, ripper, heck even shit like the were tiger and jaguar souls would probably fuck up all 3 of them if he got the hits in (I didn't say red minotaur since they clearly made it look like trash in this game, instead of a gigantic axe that swings around the ENTIRE screen and deals like 800 damage, it's just like a fast and damaging version of the buer soul)
This fight is just embarrassing to watch if you've ever played aria of sorrow and finished it.
Didn't Soma lost all his souls, which he obtained in Aria of Sorrow? So, it's nothing for him to be uber with.
ITAndroMedian nope, not to my knowledge.
In the true ending he just lost the evil spirit in him I believe, A.K.A as he no longer being Dracula.
Never bothered me.
Alucard, the good-hearted semi-vampiric hero vs. Soma, the reincarnation of humanity's worst nightmare. Fate, I suppose.
Also the Rondo of Blood final boss theme works.
Makes me wonder about how this will all go down in the Netflix series.
[Alucard will probably have another breakdown but we don’t know yet]
It probably won't, not for a long time at least
@@kinnikuboneman Firstly, they have to proceed with Richter Belmont's time probably
This is a long way from Probable, but if they arrive at Dawn they will do the Good End for being canon
It won’t.
I remember the fist time I got to this fight. The setup, incredible. You get the epic anime voice (specially if you picked Alucard), and fucking Dances of Illusion in a great rendition starting. Just to get one of the worst Dracula boss fights ever.
Well, this is a teenage reincarnation we're talking about.
Honestly if this was animated, it’d be way more chaotic. Both of them are beyond even the strongest vampires (Soma isn’t a vampire, just has the powers of Dracula), and have the power of Chaos. They’d be warping reality on such a scale, no one would be able to get close
RIP Soma Cruz
he is alive actually
this is just the bad ending
in the good and real ending, he survived
@@stuff5499, stop shooting down timelines.
Soma in smash bros ( get ready MARIO)
Jose Hernandez assuming he can add other Character moves into his custom moveset then I would love him to be in smash!
if it ain't soma, its gotta be either simon or alucard.
I want either alucard or soma for smash 5
I Want Tetris And Aiden Pearce To The Game
Forget Soma, I want Alucard/Adrian for smash.
“How many fucking times do I have to deal with this bullshit!?”
Kurunggai... Arucadooo !!!
Soma's evil laugh whenever he teleports sounds so much like a spoiled brat getting what he wants from another kid who got the shit first
The reincarnation of Dracula, yes he is
It just now dawned on me that soma is dead 😢 Growing up I was always hoping I'd see him in a new game
Nick Parrish he's Alive, this isn't the Canon ending
Simon Belmont is in the first Castlevania too ;)
Simon Belmont is the original, and therefore, Simon should be the one to be chosen if a character from Castlevania should be chosen.
But yeah, Simon's Quest was pretty annoying. Sure, you would manage to beat the game if you threw holy water all over the place, but seriously, you don't want to do that xD
@BKXer97 No, it's a secret game mode unlocked in dawn of sorrow that continues the story after soma becoming the dark lord
Shadowserg спасибо за видео! Подписка+лайк!
It's kinda interesting how a single videogame has two storylines.
What I liked doing after backing up from Soma's axe attack was doing Alucard's little teleport thing and get a couple of hits on him. Took down his first form pretty quick.
WHAT IS A MAN ALUCARDOOOO!!!!
@SkInHoUnD
complete the game with either the bad or good ending then select julius mode and go to the demon guest house at the entrance where you met arikado in soma mode you will then meet alucard and he then joins your party
"Dark Metamorphosis" oh wrong game 🤣
... That's it? No dialogue at the end? They don't even say a word when they go outside the castle...
julius says sorry or something after soma is defeated. just listen, it's in japanese and my japanese is not great. :P
+UnderCHARAters after beating the last Phase with Julius? because i think I did hear julius say something
ZeroTar 10836 yeah
the whole mode could habe been sooo awesome but nooo fuck story we just make 6 new Dialogs and thats it
tetrisretro 24 that's how julius mode has been since aria
It seems this mode views Soma iembracing his dark destiny
Patrick Andrei Catbagan kurenai.... ARUCADOOO!
Blood ps Soma, wear Mina talisman next time
*来る外...アルカド!*
Isnt that the same demon form that dracula had in rondo of blood?
good ol' cookie monster
Yeah, fittingly.
R.I.P Soma cruz you will be remembered
actually, he is alive
this isn't the canon ending
@@stuff5499, we're talkin' about this timeline.
You know...all of this could have been simply avoided if they only told Soma that Mina *is still alive, the sole reason of why he turned into Drácula*
it was avoided when Soma wore Mina's talisman which gave Arikado some time to tell the truth
Well in JM Mina's nowhere to be seen, so maybe it was actually her in this ending.
That intro...
Sooooma!
What about Simon Belmont?!
Why does everyone forget about Simon Belmont?! T_T
He's dead.
It's canonically 203X in the Sorrow duology.
Death was hardest boss playing as these 3
When your Dad is younger than you!!! AWKWARD!!!!! And you have already bested him 3 times!!!
He made this look easy as hell when it isn't between this boss and portrait of ruins final boss these were the hardest
My only wish for this game is the ability to turn into boss soma's second form after gaining and equipping the chaos ring.
Alucard FanBoygasm.
Wait...
No I stand by it.
