I seem to remember the Simple Ending have 3 variations, the first is what was shown, the second variation had Soma absorbing the dark souls as if he had all 3 souls equipped, but it would either cut to the rest of the simple ending or to the Defeated by the Chaos Ending.
Woah I just did my first play through and got the bad ending… had no idea I had that stuff equipped. I’m almost positive I didn’t have flame demon equipped tho so it’s so weird I got that ending. At first I felt like I sucked for failing that final fight but now I’m proud seeing how anticlimactic the simple ending is lmao.
Well there's the ds game. But overall, when I played the game originally years ago, I had a hard time capturing all the spirit powers. Mostly because once you beat them, you either capture them or you don't, and going back, you'll generally find the boss room empty. It's a game I have to work hard at and be smart.
@@martinquinonez1935At least, Genya killed a horde of monsters that were trying to kill Mina with his Soul Steal at the very beginning of the game though. Without his help, Soma would've been outnumbered by the monsters and failed to save Mina.

I felt the "normal ending" hinted at their being more. I was glad that I went back and figured it out. Along with getting all the different endings.
Thx for uploading this, I end up with last (good?) ending on my first play, curious about the other ending but feels like pain in the ass if I had to go through the living hell again.
@@Kumukunchi Nah seeing Mathias Cronqvist(aka Count Dracula and Soma Cruz) choosing to reject his Evil past and been able to reunite with his beloved Elisabetta(aka Lisa and Mina Hakuba) again is such a wholesome and emotional ending that having any sort of "alternate timeline" where Soma is dumb enough to let his Hatred for Humanity win over his centuries long love for Mina would both ruin his beautiful story of redemption and make him arguably one of the worst videogame protagonists for failing to realize his life as Dracula was nothing but pain and misery. I say let Mathias and Elisabetta get their happily ever after already and don't ruin their beautiful love story because you want post Dawn of Sorrow games.
With Castlevania getting its various anime series now, I'd love to see an Aria and Dawn anime where in Season 1 Soma fights to the end, but becomes Dracula and then Season 2 would be Julius' journey to keep his promise to Soma, ending in the classic Belmont vs. Dracula destiny.
Not exactly "beat the game", you need just to defeat the 1st phase of Graham with those 3 souls equipped, besides that you can use anything, even at the start of the fight The thing is at the moment of defeat of his 1ts phase need to have the 3 souls of the books equipped

There's no ending for that battle. Only the implication that you may be destroyed by Julius if Chaos wins the final battle. Btw, the good ending has a slight variation if you collect every soul in hard mode: Soma and Mina get closer and he becomes less shy towards her
My first playthrough I was level 60 but only with 60% souls. I got the best ending. It's cool to see another endings, might have to try + new game soon.

It should work, just make sure you have them equipped and you defeat both Graham and Chaos. Try to restart the game and equip the souls before entering the throne room.
this is just a guess but there are 2 reasons i can think of. either you did not saved the game before fighting graham while equipping those 3 souls or you equipped the souls after the fight with graham starts.
@@Kumukunchi There is a slight variation on the Best ending, if you have 100% souls, during the conversation between Soma and Mina, Soma says that the experience has changed him, that he's "A lot cooler now" and Mina agrees, that he has changed because the old Soma would never say that.

you spent the entire game
becoming Dracula.
that’s why this one rules.
I did let Chaos win on my playthrough. I wanted to be Dracula.
🤝 hell yeah. same.
And then the Goofy ahhh Belmont comes and kills you
I get that ending because the second phase of chaos turns the game into a bullet hell
