When I was military, I kept my front clear of accessories (belly/low crawling). When I was law enforcement, I kept my back clear of accessories, unless they were totally flat (riding in a car). When I compete, the only thing I wear is a pistol on my strong side and mags on my weak side front. As you said, different needs for different missions.
Me to 1987-1991 US Marine Corps and Wisconsin city police officer 25 years now. These kids don't listen?!
Dude your stuff is so well shot. You’re not boring which is hard to consistently be when talking about gear I find.
Thanks for the support amigo. I really appreciate it. I hope to have more content out soon.
Jim's Goon Life I’m in quarantine in the UK and I’m gonna binge some of your shit dude
Haha cheers bruv. I’ll get more out to keep you occupied.
Nice range belt love my Marine Corps olive drab color! Keep your back clear. Front clear to. 4 years in the Marines 1987-1991 and 25 years as a law enforcement officer in my city.
This was the first video I saw from your channel, let me just say, the fact that you taught me how to use the tacos is the reason why I am now subbing to you. cant wait to see the rest of your channel and future videos.
I have my belt (bluealphagear) set up very similar, it works great for me, I don't do any competition stuff but it works for a multitude of situations for what I do when I train. Great video!
I have there EDC belt wear it everyday best belt and company ever.
I've heard great stuff about their gear
Thank you for the tip for HSGI tacos, I been trying to figure how to stop them sliding up and down on my belt. I had no idea what those screw were for.
I recently bought the new HSGI Reflex IFAK, still waiting for it to come in.
Dope! yeah i figured I wasn't the only one messing it up. Let me know what you think of the reflex.
This is one of the things I’ve been working on during quarantine lol thanks a ton man.
One of the best battle belt videos I have seen.
GREAT channel my man!!! It was an absolute pleasure getting to shoot with you, Chris, and Brittany in the Proctor class. Hope your family is well with all this crud going on. Stay safe homie. Can’t wait for your merch to hit.........had to edit, greatness in your intro music
Yeah for sure it was blast getting to shoot with y'all. Learned a lot at Franks course.
a good tool belt has Sholders straps ... helps keep the weight and your mobility , you should see how sholder straps would work with this and make a vid about it
HSGI is great stuff. Added bungee straps to rifle mag pouches. Easy add on for extra security.
just picked up a soileater bmth; have tried several other tq holder options and haven't found one that stows the tq securely, but in a way that allows efficient draw with either hand; more great content from senior jim.. thank you
Been using a carabiner since 2008. Have the same one still. I've used it mostly for gloves and Kevlar (helmet for those non-prier service people). I had it on my flak then moved it to my leg rigg after I got out. Would not go without it. It takes up no room and does so much.
I have my gcode on a bladetech holster for a fnx45 tac for about 3 years and never had a problem with it
Agreed. I haven’t had any issues just wanted to share some of what I’ve seen/heard lately.
sweet video, some really great tips. i like the carabiner idea, will be adding one two my belt for sure
You don’t need a dump pouch if your taking the time to put them in the DP you can just take the time to re-index it comes to preference but to me there worth-less
Great setup I’m totally stealing 95% of this
RTI system is good so is the qls both companies don't cover all pistols. Tier 1 does a good job for that
Live the creed responder IFAK . Low profile for if you put it on back of belt .
I’ll check it out
I love mine!
I run the Blue Force Gear Micro trauma kit, S*A*U*C*E 💯
I gotta get my hands on one
@@jimmybrodriguez I recommend the Live The Creed Responder IFAK over the Micro Trauma kit.
It buckles in instead of just Velcro. Same sled design though.
@@taylorwilliamm I second that.
Nailed it! Board AF, great vid
Thanks for the support. Yeah we're all getting board lol
Perfect setup
yeah its working good so far
Never mind being locked up has me going crazy...lol..
What's up Jim question ballpark figure on the total cost of that belt setup you have there if you don't mind great video keep it going
I have a very similar setup but i would guess with holster and everything on the belt is around $530 give or take about $100 depending on how his med kit is stocked.
Raidteam Tee, I like it
Love these videos so much. Great topics great quality.
Thanks for the support. Just trying to make videos I would want to watch.
Wow this was only updated 11 days ago...it feels like I watched this months ago
Good stuff
Good stuff man! What other channels do you recommend here on RUclips for good info like this?
Other channels: mr guns n gear, garand thumb, lucas botkin, warrior poet society thats just a few the more you look into them the more youll learn.
Check out Flatline Fiber Co. they make some awesome ear pro padded wraps that have a built in clip on them for hooking to your belt when not using them. I agree, the knee wrap game sucks ha
just found ur channel... pretty awesome stuff!!!
Which model of belt is that? Hard to see the style to match it up on HSG’s website
www.highspeedgear.com/hsgi/31OV-31OV.html
Operator belt
Can’t wait to test mine with y’all this Sunday! What time are y’all starting? I’ll bring some gift cards from my restaurant 🤪
Which is also a “taco” restaurant! OMG Tacos!
12:30 arrival. 12:45 safety brief. All the details are on my IG
Calvin Nguyen You own OMG Tacos!?????
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO RAID TSHIRT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Disregard, you are running the hgsi belt, I thought you originally said GGG, very similar inner belt which I love.
@ 8:47 could you explain the issues you ran into and how you solved them?
I didn't get any of those screws with my hsgi mag pouches.
What IWB holster are you running? I’m running the shogun from LAS concealment and I like it but I want to have the ability to carry my X300. Just wondering if you have found something comfortable to use with a light?
Im running a more discreet from QVO Tactical.
Hey man, just wondering if there was any thought behind the single mag pouches vs the doubles? I'm going to get some soon, just wandering your thoughts.
Wondering if you had the link for the actual belt you’re using.
Uncle Mike’s never breaks.
Why you gotta flex on us so hard?
Could you link Brian’s channel? Could not find it
What mag carriers were you running that you had issues with?
I’d rather not bash brands. Not that they made a bad product. It just didn’t work for my application.
Regarding the holster, does the cut of it interfere with your other finger while trying to grip the gun?
WHAT SHIRT IS THAT?!
RAID Team co
They dont sell that shirt anymore 😭
9:35 That's what She said.... lolz subbed
Whats the attachment that the leg strap goes through?
It's G-codes optimum drop mount with leg strap attached. It comes as one piece.
I wouldn't go up a size they give you the lengths they're adjustable to so get the correct size otherwise you'll have sag not swag
Subscribed because raid team lol
Raid team ftw!
which specific duty belt is it; there are a few belts on the their site?
Will the safariland 6354do holster fit on the g code system?
What is the exact belt in this video?
How come u dont stack mags?
Sticks to far out and it’s too awkward on tac reloads
Can I ask what kind of "field" work you're talking about at 2:41?
The LARP field?
What Kind of belt is it ?
Do you have any real experience or is this all coming from classes you been to?
All my experience is from training, courses, and competitions.
I don’t run any gear. I just walk it.
When you reach two TRI-11 status you just have other people run or walk it for you
I guarantee I will wind up with at least one more kid out of this pandemic and quarantine crap should have got my wife fixed after the last one and that one happened when we were both home sick with the flu for 9 days this is gonna be way longer
hahaha well there a definitely worse problems to have lol. Let me know when the baby shower is
The term "GOON" Came from the A.I.M. movement in the 70's during the Incident at Oglala...... G.O.O.N.=Guardian Of Oglala Nation!!!!!!
“ORIGIN OF GOON
1920-25; shortened from dial. gooney, variant of obsolete gony a simpleton (< ?); influenced by the comic-strip character Alice the Goon in the series Thimble Theatre by E. C. Segar (1894-1938), American cartoonist”
Gear should always be mission dictated
LTCreed ifak
3:40 what the fuck are you talking about
The average guy does not need all this crap
Uh, so I uh. And I uh, and uh so uh.
Fix your audio. No one enjoys whispers and explosions [entro].
Raise your volume or get a hearing aid, gramps, the rest of us hear fine
@@evocati6523 good to see the head of the council on here. Maybe give comprehension a shot ;)
Stop saying “uh” so much
No
Good stuff
