Heather, you continue to amaze me. Thank you for making these helpful videos. I was also excited to see some layout/designs in your store below! I’m hoping to start up on book #2 with Gus the gnome next week, and if I get to the layout step in canva…I’ll definitely be checking those out! Thank you for lending your expertise to all those interested in creating children’s books! ❤❤❤
Thank you SO much! I've been having issues transferring my PS files to ID, with pixillation appearing in a handful of my image files in InDesign both on screen and in the printed proofs. I haven't been able to figure out what the problem is, so I'm looking for alternatives for layout. I think I'm going to stick with PS 😋 Thanks for the video!
Ooh, it sounds like maybe your links might be broken? InDesign is weird because when you import an image, it doesn't really put it into the file, it creates a "link", so if you move the original image file then your link becomes broken and it shows a low res version of it instead. I definitely prefer Photoshop over InDesign for most things!
Hi Heather! Can you tell me what I should download my Canva book in order to upload it into a Kindle ebook? I have a Mac. I have it saved in my desktop as a pdf for the print version already.
Hi! You'll use the same PDF that you used for the print book, but you need to upload it within the Kindle Kids Book Creator, which will then create a mobi file for you to upload to KDP. Here's the video! ruclips.net/video/bzCIhD996c8/видео.html
I've been formatting my children's book in canva, but I've run into an issue - some of my illustration file sizes are too big! I haven't seen this issue discussed anywhere. It's got me completely stuck.
I have been so confused about which program to use and how to do it…it’s finally becoming clearer! Thank you so much! Great video!
Yay I'm so glad I could help!!! 💕
My daughter is pretty excited her animals made it on the video when discussing the Creativity Club 😊
Yay!!!! 🙃 I'm glad she saw it!
Very helpful, exactly what I was looking for; I appreciate you for doing this. Thank you.

Well, that's really good to know! 👍 Thanks again Heather!
Heather thank you so much for your video! What kind of stylus would you recommend for illustrating on Canva?
Hi! Do you mean illustrating on the iPad? You can't actually illustrate IN Canva... You just create the layout in Canva.

Are you making sure to flatten your PDF before exporting?
@@HeatherCashArtYes but some of my illustrations are double page spreads and very intricate and so even the PDF is too large
@@angeliquecollis8916 how many pages is your PDF?
BTW - are you splitting your spreads up into two pages?
