I live in California LA, back in the 70s we uses to have fireworks stands. Every 4 of July me and my older brother saved our money to buy fireworks. Red devil fireworks, Freedom fireworks, Blackcat Fireworks. In our town there would be fireworks stands in every corner. Love your channel, bring back great memories of my youth 😊 thanks for posting.

Yeah, CodyB's channel and videos is how I learned about all the stores in Pahrump, Nevada. I drove out there twice from SoCal last October and November to stock up. Now I have a whole stash going.
Back in the 70s they sold DOT Class C fireworks in little stands. Many had police/emergency lights on top of the stands. Zebra, Peacock many brands of firecrackers that had extra kick compared to todays firecrackers. We always got our fireworks in Missouri.

Did not go off so Dad investigated. Firework blew up killing the dad instantly. Another friend has one less finger because of fireworks.
This was a battle we fought in Michigan for many years. We finally won, but it was a hard fight! Eight years later and we still have people trying to turn back the clock, trying to ban fireworks, for any reason you can imagine...

TNT is popular in CA because when i was a kid they were the only tent in town. We now have a phantom tent but TNT still has the most Tents. I know that people harp on prices but you have to remember half the price goes to the organization fund raising.
I got those TNT mini canister shells a week ago for $5...good deal for the price but the tube blew out by the 4th shell ...my niece loved them and that’s what’s important...even though the tube didn’t last if you can get them for under $10 it’s probably worth it- just use a couple 🧱 to keep the tube secure

Well when we went to phantom fireworks here in tampa they were unloading their product of the semi so we were able to get what we wanted. We got 10 500gram cakes, 2 6pc grucci canister shell kits and 2 9-shot finale tube racks.

I live in upstate NY and a few years ago they legalized "ground based fireworks". Which just means sparklers and fountains basically. Well, I got sick of it and last year my son and I drove down to Pennsylvania and grabbed about $300 worth of the good stuff. On the 4th we had a great time. Most of the neighborhood actually see ended up near my place. My house is less than a mile from a NY State trooper barracks, so obviously they saw what I was doing. Two troopers pulled up to my place and my wife thought I was going to jail or getting fined. They were actually super cool. He said as long as I'm not acting like an idiot, over doing it and being responsible they said it was ok lol. He did say though, that if someone called and filed a complaint they would have to come back and fine me. Nobody called thankfully. Now this year all the kids and my neighbors are asking me if I am putting on another show lmao
