Wow, this is AWESOME! I love this version and how you acted it all out. I'm doing some research on the historical background of this song and this is literally GOLD. I didn't expect to find such wonderful video. Thank you!!
WOW! love the video take on the story of the black velvet band, one small error! you did not appear before the judge and jury!! respect and love all the same, just remember good people is not just a song its a story thats part of history
You sing very well. My preference in hearing this song is for a person to deeply passionately pour their hearts and soul into every word to feel the learics then express them to the world.
Swswsaaswswseadssds I am so happy for him he is a great man he is so proud to see the love he brings in his fans I hope you will see this man he is so proud
I actually only recognize Susan from your playing at Enchanted Forest, you guys all look so different! (Also idk if some of you haven't played there when I was there.)
Totally understandable. We have 8 current members right now but normally only play in groups of 3-5 and some of the musicians in Black Velvet band are not active right now. Both Abby and I (Susan) are actively performing with possibly Irish currently (February 2020.)
@@EveryoneElseIsWeirdImNormal You have it on a cassette, well that proves it then, every song ever sung by an Irish person from then on has 'Irish song' written after it, 'Danny Boy' English Song, 'Tell me ma' English Song, 'Black Velvet Band' English song.....and the list goes on.
@Washer Dryer It was published as a broadside ballad by Swindells of Manchester some time between 1796 and 1853, and by H. Such of London sometime between 1863 and 1885. Typical Irish, if an Irish person sings a song the word 'Irish' is added to it, 'Danny Boy' 'I'll tell me ma' 'Dirty old town' 'The shoals of herring' and the list goes on and on.
Sorry, die jungen Künstler haben bestimmt ihr Bestes gegeben. Leider kann man das nur als schlecht bezeichnen. So richtig schleimiger und ganz ermbärmlicher Mist.
Still, this rendition remains my very favorite! Emma's singing voice is beautiful.
--Thankyou!

My Irish De La Salle teachers introduced me to Irish music and ballads. I will appreciate these melodies all my life.
Emma you're so beautiful and talented! Beautiful voice. Thanks so much!

Daddy?
Its weird to see him have a hair cut. after having long hair for so long btw im talking about the guy that has tear makeup in maires wedding
Yeh, he cleaned up really good! That's Makio Caudel, aka Matthew Caudel. (He's always reinventing himself and looks great doing it.)
You missed a stanza
Oh my, this is somthin, eh 😂
Makaio looks totally different. :O
Possibly Irish, no it's definitely an English song.
I have a cassette tape with it on and it's called "the best Irish pub songs" so I think it is Irish but this is actually a really bad version
