"Materials Science and Engineering: An Introduction" by William D. Callister Jr. and David G. Rethwisch: This book is widely used in introductory materials science courses.
For Engineering Mechanics - Statics, a widely used and well-regarded textbook is:"Engineering Mechanics: Statics" by J.L. Meriam and L.G. Kraige: It provides a solid foundation for understanding static equilibrium and its application to engineering problems.
It's worth checking if your course has a recommended textbook or if your professor suggests specific readings. Different courses and instructors may have different preferences, and the choice of textbooks can vary.
