Leo is a actually my youngest son's dog. They lived with us for a couple of years when he moved back home from Florida until he could get back on his feet. About 9mo ago, my son and Leo moved to a new city for a new job. While we no longer see Leo every day, my son now lives about an hour away, so we still see them both once a month.
Thanks for the information on how the switch works! My previous RV had 2 TV's hooked to the antenna and worked great. My new bigger and more modern RV has Coax going to 5 places but only one goes to the antenna! I started tracing to figure out where all the outlets go but the antenna switch plate will only come out about 1/2 inch because there is not enough slack in the coax! At that point I decided that was a project for another day that has not yet come.
On my website www.rv-project.com I have several videos about wiring a satellite. Its under the gear menu selection. My RV is "satellite ready", but the factory installation was so bad that I eventually rewired the satellite coax. You can find that video under the repair section of the website.
Yep, the FM broadcast band sits right above the old VHF Low TV band (in some locations, one could listen to TV channel 6 audio by tuning below 88 MHz on an FM radio). Thus the old Batwing (and similar TV antennas) are often ideal for bringing in FM radio.
Thank you so so much, just bought my first camper and you answered so much for me why I couldn't get tv station or radio station, thank you!!
Thank you. Didn't even notice the button for the amplifier. I went from 4 PBS stations to 50 stations after watching your video.
Yay, Leo! Always good to see him in the opening sequence! Good video. Thanks for the info.

Sounds like typical RV manufacturer quality.
Thank you very helpful
Does this switch control both the living room coax port where the switch is located and the coax port in the bedroom?
Very clear explanation. Could you do another one showing how to hook up satellite/satellite box with the system you showed?

My Radio wouldn't get very good reception when camping in the mountains so i hooked it up to the TV antenna works perfect now.
Many RVs hook the radio up to the TV antenna. I should have mentioned that in the video.

Can this be used for internet connection?
If you have the external connector plugged into a service line, and you have an Internet modem hooked up to the coax inside the RV it should word
Thank you
Thanks for watching.
Why is my led light dimming?
If I remove the blocking capacitor will it allow dc power to run both my tv (dc compatible) and amplified antenna at the sametime safely?
No
Not unless you have a custom made TV that meant to be powered off of the antenna port
First! Again! Yeah, I'm an insomniac and I have no life.
