- In this episode, we made our way down to the D'Best Premium Pond for a 3 hour session after a tough day of shore jigging. During the first half of our Premium Pond session, we used artificial lures and managed to catch a couple of fish. For the second half of the session, we ended up using live prawns and the bites started to come in one after the other! Would highly recommend using live prawns over lures if you are intending to book a session for yourself!

I agree! We have made a couple videos at both Damai Fishing Village and Brother Pond. Sometimes it’s easier to organise a premium pond session though!

How heavy rod and line do you use? Also do you use a wire or fluorocarbon leader?
Rod wise PE 1-2, 1-3, 2-4 is good enough and most of the fish there will put a bend into those ratings. For line they do have a minimum rating you are advised to use and I think that’s 30lb mainline with 50lb mono or floro leader. No need for wire over here!
